The Milton Hill Historic District is a historic district in Milton, Massachusetts. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.The Milton Hill area first became prominent in the 1740s as the estate of Thomas Hutchinson, a prominent politician whose actions as Acting Governor and Governor of the Province of Massachusetts Bay heightened tensions leading to the American Revolutionary War. He left the province in 1774, and his estate was eventually confiscated by the state. It has since then been a fashionable residential area of the town. It includes the Captain Robert Bennet Forbes House, a National Historic Landmark, as well as the Dr. Amos Holbrook House and Governor Hutchinson's Ha-ha, both separately listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Governor Thomas Hutchinson's Field, owned by The Trustees of the Reservations, lies in the middle of the district and offers sweeping views of Boston and the South Shore.

The Captain Robert Bennet Forbes House, also known as the R. B. Forbes House and Forbes House Museum (and formerly as the American China Trade Museum), is a house museum located at 215 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts. It is now a National Historic Landmark, and is open to the public.

Gov. Thomas Hutchinson's Ha-ha is a historic ha-ha at 100–122 Randolph Avenue in Milton, Massachusetts, United States. The ha-ha (a sunken wall which permits unblocked views, while still serving functions of a wall such as delineating a border and preventing livestock from crossing) was constructed by then-Acting Governor Thomas Hutchinson in the early 1700s, when the land was part of his extensive Milton estate. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, and is a contributing property to the Milton Hill Historic District.The ha-ha, which is of modest size, is now on the grounds of St. Michael's Church at 100 Randolph Avenue, approximately one block from Governor Hutchinson's Field, a property of The Trustees of Reservations. Park on the street and walk in the driveway to the left (north) of the church. The ha-ha, with a descriptive sign, is on the right before the bend of the driveway.

Milton Cemetery is a historic cemetery at 211 Centre Street in Milton, Massachusetts. Established in 1672, it is the town's only municipal burying ground. There are three distinct sections to its 102-acre (41 ha) grounds: the original burying ground, a tract of 3 acres (1.2 ha) which was in use between 1672 and 1854, a "new" section, laid out in 1854 in the rural cemetery style which was fashionable in the 19th century, and a "modern" section, established in 1945.It was founded in 1672 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Burke, United States Representative from Massachusetts Elbie Fletcher, Major League Baseball player Edward A. The Dorchester-Milton Lower Mills Industrial District is a historic district on both sides of the Neponset River in the Dorchester area of Boston and in the town of Milton, Massachusetts. It encompasses an industrial factory complex, most of which was historically associated with the Walter Baker & Company, the first major maker of chocolate products in the United States. The industrial buildings of the district were built between about 1868 and 1947. They were listed as part of the district on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, with a slight enlargement in 2001. The buildings have been adapted for mixed industrial/retail/residential use.

Butler station is a light rail station in Boston, Massachusetts. It serves the MBTA Ashmont–Mattapan High-Speed Line. It is located at Butler Street in the Lower Mills section of the Dorchester neighborhood. It serves a small residential area sandwiched between the Neponset River, Cedar Grove Cemetery, and Dorchester Park. Butler station has no MBTA bus connections. It is accessible via a wooden mini-high ramp on the station's single island platform.

Fontbonne Academy is a private Roman Catholic college preparatory high school for girls, located in Milton, Massachusetts, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. It was started in 1954 by the Sisters of St. Joseph. The school was fully accredited in 1959 by the New England Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges. Accreditation has been consistently renewed for ten-year periods. In January 2019, Fontbonne Academy changed its name to Fontbonne Early College of Boston.

The Lower Neponset River Trail is a 2.4-mile-long (3.9 km) rail trail running along the Neponset River in the Dorchester section of Boston, Massachusetts. It roughly follows the path of the eastern part of the Dorchester and Milton Branch Railroad from the Port Norfolk neighborhood in Dorchester to the Central Avenue T Station in Milton, passing through Pope John Paul II Park, the Neponset Marshes, and the Lower Mills area.

Central Avenue station is a light rail station located off Central Avenue near Eliot Street in Milton, Massachusetts. It serves the Ashmont–Mattapan High Speed Line, a branch of the MBTA Red Line. Central Avenue consists of two side platforms which serve the Ashmont–Mattapan High Speed Line's two tracks.

Labouré College of Healthcare is a private college specializing in nursing and healthcare education and located in Milton, Massachusetts. Founded in 1892, by the Daughters of Charity, it is the longest-running nursing education program in the Boston area. The college offers online and on-campus certificate, associate, and bachelor's degree programs. In 2013, the campus moved from Dorchester to Milton, Massachusetts.
