Belcher-Rowe House

The Milton Main Post Office is a historic post office building at 499 Adams Street in Milton, Massachusetts. The single-story granite building was built in 1936 out of locally quarried stone. The building is roofed in copper and has a wooden tower with louvered side panels and copper roofing. The interior public lobby has terrazzo marble flooring, and white marble wainscoting, with the walls above finished in plaster. The ceiling is ringed by an ornamental plaster cornice. One wall is decorated by a mural depicting scenes of the American Revolution painted by Elizabeth Tracy and funded by the Treasury Section of Painting and Sculpture, a Depression-era jobs program.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Labouré College of Healthcare is a private college specializing in nursing and healthcare education and located in Milton, Massachusetts. Founded in 1892, by the Daughters of Charity, it is the longest-running nursing education program in the Boston area. The college offers online and on-campus certificate, associate, and bachelor's degree programs. In 2013, the campus moved from Dorchester to Milton, Massachusetts.

Fontbonne Academy is a private Roman Catholic college preparatory high school for girls, located in Milton, Massachusetts, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. It was started in 1954 by the Sisters of St. Joseph. The school was fully accredited in 1959 by the New England Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges. Accreditation has been consistently renewed for ten-year periods. In January 2019, Fontbonne Academy changed its name to Fontbonne Early College of Boston.

Milton Cemetery is a historic cemetery at 211 Centre Street in Milton, Massachusetts. Established in 1672, it is the town's only municipal burying ground. There are three distinct sections to its 102-acre (41 ha) grounds: the original burying ground, a tract of 3 acres (1.2 ha) which was in use between 1672 and 1854, a "new" section, laid out in 1854 in the rural cemetery style which was fashionable in the 19th century, and a "modern" section, established in 1945.It was founded in 1672 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Among those interred in the cemetery are: Dennis Miller Bunker, American Impressionist Painter James A. Burke, United States Representative from Massachusetts Elbie Fletcher, Major League Baseball player Edward A. Gisburne, United States Navy sailor and Medal of Honor recipient Nathaniel Carl Goodwin, actor and vaudevillian Howard Deering Johnson, businessman and founder of the Howard Johnson's restaurant and hotel chain Wendell Phillips, abolitionist, advocate for Native Americans, and orator Steve Trapilo, player in the National Football League Paul H. WUMB-FM (91.9 FM) in Boston, Massachusetts, is the radio station of the University of Massachusetts Boston. It broadcasts an Americana/Blues/Roots/Folk mix hosted by its staff weekdays. On weekends the station concentrates on traditional folk, Celtic, blues, and world music including syndicated programs. Overnight programming starting at midnight and usually through 5am is a repeat of a portion of the previous day's programming; an announcement of this fact is made at midnight. The station has received many awards for its folk music programming.

The Railway Village Historic District is a historic district encompassing a densely populated, predominantly residential, area of eastern Milton, Massachusetts. The 30-acre (12 ha) district lies roughly between East Milton Square and the town line with neighboring Quincy. The area's significant growth occurred after the 1826 construction of the Granite Railway, which transported stone from the nearby granite quarries to the Neponset River. This resulted in the movement to the area of stone workers and related interests. The principal thoroughfare of the district is Adams Street; the district extends along Pierce Street, Granite Place, and Washington Street, and includes properties on intervening and connecting streets.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The House at 92 Willard Street in Quincy, Massachusetts, is, somewhat oddly, believed to be the only granite house ever built in the city, which is well known for its granite quarries. The house is located in West Quincy, near its famous granite quarries, and was built in the 1830s. It is a 2+1⁄2-story structure, fashioned out of granite blocks, with a gable roof. A single-story hip-roofed porch once wrapped around two sides; it was an early 20th-century addition that has since been removed. The main facade is three bays wide, with the entrance at the center.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Lyon's Turning Mill is a historic turning mill that created granite columns on Ricciuti Drive in Quincy, Massachusetts. The first quarry on the site, one of the earliest quarries in Quincy, was established on the site about 1825. In the late 1880s James Lyon bought the quarry and organized the Lyons Granite Company in 1893 with a paid in capital of $40,000. The mill, 200 ft by 90 ft (60m by 27m) was built in 1893-94 and equipped with lathes for turning large granite cylinders and jennies for polishing.The mill's power plant had a 150 hp steam boiler and 100 hp steam engine which ran the shaft, belt and pulley system that drove the plant's machinery. It had a 20-ton traveling derrick and three other derricks with capacities ranging from 5 to 25 tons. It was capable of producing spheres up to 6 ft (1.8m) diameter and cylinders up to 3 ft (1.9m) diameter and 22 ft (7m) long. The mill employed about 80 workers in various trades until 1907, when it closed for unknown reasons. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 25, 1980. It is the proposed home of the recently formed Quincy Quarry & Granite Workers Museum.

WMEX (1510 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Quincy, Massachusetts, and serving the Greater Boston media market. It is owned by L&J Media, headed by Tony LaGreca and Larry Justice. WMEX broadcasts an oldies radio format of hits from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, as well as full service features including local DJs, news, traffic and weather. Late nights and weekends, it uses the MeTV FM syndicated music service. The radio studios and offices are on Enterprise Drive in Marshfield.By day, WMEX transmits with 10,000 watts, using a non-directional antenna, but 1510 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A WLAC Nashville, Tennessee, which itself is directional at night protecting WMEX to the northeast as well as KGA Spokane, Washington to the west. Since WMEX uses a non-directional antenna, to prevent interference to either station, during critical hours, WMEX drops its power to 2,000 watts, and at night, it further reduces its output to only 100 watts. The transmitter is on Riverside Avenue in Quincy, near the Neponset River. The station was silent from late June 2017 to November 7, 2019, when it returned to the air with new ownership, a new city of license of Quincy, and a reduction in power from the previous output of 50,000 watts directional day and night.

The Russell M. Dicey House is a historic house at 56 Pope Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. The 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built in 1918, and is a well-preserved example of a modest Craftsman bungalow. It has the extended eaves with brackets typical of the style, as well as a fieldstone porch with tapered square posts. Russell Dicey was a local contractor who lived here for several years, selling the house in 1927.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Captain Robert Bennet Forbes House, also known as the R. B. Forbes House and Forbes House Museum (and formerly as the American China Trade Museum), is a house museum located at 215 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts. It is now a National Historic Landmark, and is open to the public.

WBIX (1260 AM) branded Nossa Rádio USA is a commercial Brazilian Portuguese radio station licensed to Boston, Massachusetts, serving Greater Boston. Owned by the International Church of the Grace of God, the WBIX studios are located in the Boston suburb of Somerville, while the station transmitter resides in Quincy, on the southern banks of the Neponset River near the Southeast Expressway. Besides its main analog transmission, WBIX is available online.
