Rode Heath

Alsager Town Football Club is a football club, based in Alsager, Cheshire, England. The club are currently members of North West Counties League Division One South and play at Wood Park Stadium. Affiliated to the Cheshire County Football Association, they also operate a reserve team in the Staffordshire County Senior League and a youth team in the North West Youth Alliance.

Lawton railway station is a disused railway station in Cheshire, England. The station was situated on the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) branch line to Sandbach from Harecastle. The line opened in 1852 to serve the salt and chemical works in the Sandbach area and passenger services were a very late addition, not being introduced until 1893, 41 years after the opening of the line.The station called Lawton, which was close to the settlement at Lawton Gate was one of two intermediate station on the line opened at the same time in July 1893, a third Hassall Green was opened in 1905. From the station to Lawton Junction, the junction with the Crewe-Harecastle line the line was double tracked, from Lawton to Hassall Green the line was only single track. There were minimal goods facilities at the station and the station had an island platform with the buildings on the platform between the two running lines.Increasing competition from bus services led to the line being closed for passenger services in 1930 and Lawton station closed completely on 28 July that year, with parcels traffic being dealt with at Alsager.Freight traffic continued over the line until 1964 and the line was finally closed and lifted in 1971.

Rode Hall, a Georgian country house, is the seat of the Wilbraham family, members of the landed gentry in the parish of Odd Rode, Cheshire, England. The estate, with the original timber-framed manor house, was purchased by the Wilbrahams from the ancient Rode family in 1669. The medieval manor house was replaced between 1700 and 1708 by a brick-built seven-bay building; a second building, with five bays, was built in 1752; the two buildings being joined in 1800 to form the present Rode Hall. Both the exterior and interior of Rode Hall have been altered multiples times, including work by Thomas Farnolls Pritchard and Lewis Wyatt, resulting in an irregular and complex layout. The house has large collections of period paintings, furniture, and porcelain by Chelsea, Bow and Royal Worcester. The house is Grade II* listed, and is surrounded by parkland and formal gardens, which are included as Grade II on the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. On the site are a grotto, an ice house, and an ornamental obelisk, all Grade II listed structures. Rode Hall is still owned and occupied by the Wilbrahams, currently by the 9th Baronet, Sir Randle Baker Wilbraham. The hall and gardens are open to the public from April to September.

Alsager Road railway station was a station on the North Staffordshire Railway, which operated in the West Midlands county of Staffordshire, in England. The station was located on the outskirts of Alsager.

Alsager railway station serves the town of Alsager in Cheshire, England. It stands next to a level crossing and is approximately 600 yards from the town centre. The station is 6+1⁄2 miles (10.5 km) east of Crewe on the Crewe–Derby line which is also a Community rail line known as the North Staffordshire line. The station is owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Railway. The station is unstaffed. The full range of tickets for travel are purchased from the guard on the train at no extra cost.

Betchton Hall is a country house in the parish of Betchton, Cheshire, England. It was originally a timber-framed house, and was substantially rebuilt in brick in the 18th century for Richard Jackson, prebendary of Chester. In the early years of the following century it was extended for Richard Galley. The house is in two storeys. The southeast front has seven bays that include a round-headed doorway. The southwest front has three bays, and contains Venetian windows. The entrance hall is circular. In the house is an 18th-century fireplace moved from Faringdon House, then in Berkshire and now in Oxfordshire, in the 1960s. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Smallwood is a civil parish and small village in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The village is approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Sandbach and 3 miles south-west of Congleton. It is based in a rural area and is largely agricultural. At the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 491, increasing to 614 at the 2011 Census.There is a primary school (Smallwood Church of England Primary Academy) within the village, and also a children's day nursery attached to a farm. St John's Parish Church, built between 1843 and 1846, is Grade II listed.A Village Design Statement was created by Smallwood Parish Council, residents of Smallwood and Cheshire East Council. It gives a full description of the village, including its history. In addition it is also a planning document adopted by Cheshire East Council on 14 October 2010.

All Saints Church is in the village of Scholar Green in the parish of Odd Rode, Cheshire, England. It is an Anglican parish church in the deanery of Congleton, the archdeaconry of Macclesfield, and the diocese of Chester. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.The church continues to be active, and works in association with the other churches in the parish, the Church of the Good Shepherd, Rode Heath, and St Luke's Mission Church, Mow Cop.
