Probably built in the mid-1850s, it is a well-preserved example of Italianate architecture. During the 1870s it was home to Seth Adams, one of Newton's wealthiest residents. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The house at 115–117 Jewett Street, in the Newton Corner village of Newton, Massachusetts, is one of the city's finest examples of the academic style of Second Empire design. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built in the 1860s, and features a projecting entry portico, a distinctive feature of the academic variant, and decorated dormers with segmented-arch or round-arch tops. In addition to other well-preserved period details, the property also includes a mansard-roofed carriage house with cupola.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Jonas Salisbury House is a historic house at 62 Walnut Park in Newton, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built about 1847, and was one of four temple-front mansions built in the Newton Corner area. Of these, it is the only one still standing. It has typical hallmarks of the Greek Revival style, with flushboarded facade, corner pilasters, and an entrance flanked by pilasters and set under a pediment. The property also includes a period carriage house. Jonas Salisbury was a significant property owner in Newton.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The 1+1⁄2-story duplex is remarkably well-preserved example of a vernacular worker's cottage, a style not often found in Newton but somewhat common in Newton Corner. It has a side-gable roof and asymmetrically placed chimneys. The house has a side (originally doubled) entry, and lacks any significant external architectural ornamentation.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Aquinas College was a college in Milton, Massachusetts, and 15 Walnut Park, Newton, Massachusetts. It was closed in 2000. Its Newton campus was then used by The Rashi School, the Boston-area Reform Jewish K-8 Independent School. The school became vacant again when The Rashi School moved to their permanent home in nearby Dedham, Massachusetts, in 2010. In 2015, the city of Newton purchased the property to "house the preschool program and create additional school space to relieve overcrowding and facilities issues at several elementary schools". On September 4, 1986, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Potter Estate is a historic estate at 65-71 Walnut Park in Newton, Massachusetts. The centerpiece of the estate is a large Second Empire mansion house which was constructed in 1867 by John Potter, Jr., a shoe and leather businessman. It has a mansard roof characteristic of the style, bracketed eaves, and a single-story wraparound porch that is a later Colonial Revival addition. The estate includes several outbuildings dating to Potter's time, including a carriage house and gardener's cottage; the estate also has period cast iron fencing.The estate was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Jackson Homestead, located at 527 Washington Street, in the village of Newton Corner, in Newton, Massachusetts, is an historic house that served as a station on the Underground Railroad before the Civil War. It was built in 1809 in the Federal style by Timothy Jackson (1756–1814) on his family's farm. His son William Jackson (1783–1855) lived in it from 1820 until his death. William Jackson was an abolitionist and was active in politics on the local, state and national levels and served in the United States Congress from 1833 to 1837. The home was occupied by his family until 1932 when it was rented out. In 1949 it was given to the city of Newton and in 1950 the Newton History Museum was established there.
