Gmina Mieszkowice is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Gryfino County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland, on the German border. Its seat is the town of Mieszkowice, which lies approximately 52 kilometres (32 mi) south of Gryfino and 71 km (44 mi) south of the regional capital Szczecin. The gmina covers an area of 238.67 square kilometres (92.2 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 7,457 (out of which the population of Mieszkowice amounts to 3,553, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 3,904). The gmina contains part of the protected area called Cedynia Landscape Park.

Mieszkowice [mʲɛʂkɔˈvʲit͡sɛ] (German: Bärwalde in der Neumark; Kashubian: Berwôłd) is a town in Gryfino County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship in western Poland, about 15 km (9.3 mi) east of the Oder river and the border with Germany. It is the administrative seat of the urban-rural gmina (municipality) of Mieszkowice. With origins as a medieval settlement within the borders of the Kingdom of Poland, it was founded as a town in the late 13th century during the Ostsiedlung, after the annexation of the area by Brandenburg, the town was the site of death of the last Ascanian margrave in 1319, a center of the Waldensians movement in the 14th century, and the site of the conclusion of a Franco-Swedish alliance during the Thirty Years' War, which else virtually depopulated the town. After the war, the town slowly recovered, retaining a rural character. In the late 19th century, it was connected to the railroad. During World War II the town largely escaped destruction, and in 1945 became again part of Poland. It was renamed Barwice, then Mieszkowice after Mieszko I of Poland, the first historic ruler of Poland, who first included the area within the emerging Polish state.

Warta Mouth Landscape Park (Polish: Park Krajobrazowy Ujście Warty) is a protected area (a Landscape Park) in western Poland, along the lower stretches of the Warta river as it approaches its confluence with the Oder river. The Park was established in 1996. The park is mostly within Lubusz Voivodeship, although it also extends northwards along the east bank of the Odra into West Pomeranian Voivodeship (Myślibórz County, Gmina Boleszkowice). It borders the Ujście Warty National Park, which was established in 2001 (formerly being part of the Landscape Park).After the boundary adjustment, the area of the Warta Mouth Landscape Park is now 19,496.38 hectares, of which 17,697.89 hectares lie in Lubuskie Province and 1,798.49 hectares in Zachodniopomorskie Province.

It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-west of Mieszkowice, 58 km (36 mi) south of Gryfino, and 77 km (48 mi) south of the regional capital Szczecin. The village has a population of 420. The landmarks of Czelin are the medieval Our Lady of Częstochowa church and the Monument to the first Polish border post on the Oder river.
