The Cambridge Street Firehouse is a historic fire station at 534 Cambridge Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. The two story brick building was built in 1886 in a Queen Anne style, with some Romanesque details. It is nearly identical to Worcester's Woodland Street Firehouse; both were designed by Fuller & Delano and built the same year.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, at which time it was still an active firehouse. Engine 14 and Ladder 9 ran out of this station over the years. Engine 14 was eliminated in 1991, Ladder 9 in the 1960s.

The Cambridge Street School is a historic former school building at 510 Cambridge Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built in 1869 and twice enlarged substantially, it is notable for including the only surviving unaltered Second Empire school building in the city. The building served Worcester's public school students until 1976; the city sold the building in 1978. It now serves as a transitional housing facility for homeless families. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Millbury Street Head Start is a historic school building at 389 Millbury Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. The building, a Romanesque brick structure built in 1898-99, was originally called Millbury Street Schoolhouse #4 and was later known as the Ward Street School. Designed by J.W. Patston, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It now houses Head Start programs run under the auspices of the Worcester Public Schools.

Fitton Field is a football stadium in Worcester, Massachusetts primarily used for College of the Holy Cross sporting events. The stadium opened in 1908 as the official home for the Holy Cross Crusaders football team. Before that, most games were played on the adjoining baseball field.Named after Reverend James Fitton, who donated land to the Archdiocese of Boston to found the college, it is an irregularly shaped three-sided horseshoe on the edge of the college's campus. The northern football stands are shorter than the southern due to Interstate 290 being adjacent to the field. Officially known as Fitton Football Stadium, the football facility is a 23,500-seat stadium, home to the Holy Cross Crusaders football team. The field itself was used as the football field, and termed Fitton Field, as early as 1908. A wooden structure was constructed at that time, but a more sturdy concrete structure did not appear until 1912. In 1924, the concrete was replaced with the steel structure that still stands today, increasing the stadium's capacity. It would remain identical until 1986, when the wooden seating was replaced with aluminum bleachers, further expanding its capacity to its current level. In 2016, new sod and new netting were installed. In 1992, Fitton Field was to be the home of the New England Blitz of the Professional Spring Football League, but the PSFL folded before any games were played. Fitton Field was used to film the movie The Game Plan in 2006.

The John Troupes Three-Decker is a historic triple decker house in Worcester, Massachusetts. When it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, this 1918 building was noted for its well preserved Colonial Revival details, included bracketed cornices, wide bands of shingling between clapboarded sections, and porches supported by Doric columns. Subsequent residing and alteration of the exterior has removed or covered over most of these features (see photo).

The James O'Connor-John Trybowski Three-Decker is a historic triple decker in Worcester, Massachusetts. When the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, it was recognized for its well preserved Colonial Revival styling, including porches supported by heavy square columns, and decorative brackets on the cornice. It was built about 1914, and its first owner, James O'Connor, was a gasfitter, and its early tenants were Irish immigrants. Since its listing, the house's exterior has been resided, removing the cornice decorations and enclosing the porches (see photo).

The College of the Holy Cross is a private, Jesuit liberal arts college in Worcester, Massachusetts. Founded in 1843, Holy Cross is the oldest Catholic college in New England and one of the oldest in the United States. Opened as a school for boys under the auspices of the Society of Jesus, it was the first Jesuit college in New England. Holy Cross sports teams are called the Crusaders and their sole color is purple; they compete in NCAA Division I as members of the Patriot League.

St. Matthew's Episcopal Church is an historic stone Episcopal church building located at 693 Southbridge Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Designed by Stephen Earle of Earle and Fisher in the Gothic Revival style of architecture with some Romanesque details, it was built in 1894 by the Norcross Brothers. Construction of the church was funded in part by Matthew Whittall, proprietor of the Whittall Mills. It was the first Episcopal church in Worcester.On March 5, 1980, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as St. Matthews.

Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field is a baseball stadium in Worcester, Massachusetts. Primarily used for College of the Holy Cross sporting events, the baseball stadium also served as the home field for the Can-Am League Worcester Tornadoes, and the current home of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League Worcester Bravehearts. The stadium is named after the Reverend James Fitton, who donated land to the Archdiocese of Boston to found the college.The baseball stadium lacks any outfield bleachers due to the proximity of Interstate 290 and the Fitton Field football stadium. Fitton Field hosted the MIAA High School Baseball State Finals in 2012 and has hosted them each year since 2014. During football season, the baseball field is used for parking and tailgating.

The South Worcester Branch Library is a historic former library building at 705 Southbridge Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. The single story Classical Revival building was built in 1913 by Henry D. Whitfield with funds donated by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The main facade consists of four windows, two on each side of a slightly projecting central entry pavilion. The building is set on a high basement, and granite stairs rise to the a doorway that is flanked by sidelights, then Doric pilasters, full height windows, and square cut columns with a center recessed section. The entry is topped by a decorative limestone panels. The walls are principally yellow brick, with limestone trim.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It served as a branch of the Worcester Public Library until it was closed in 1990.

At time of its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, it was recognized as a well-preserved example of a wood-frame Queen Anne building, featuring a three-story porch with decorative turned wood balusters and porch supports, and wood siding with decorative bands of cut shingles. It was built about 1906, in what was then an ethnically mixed neighborhood; its early occupants were Irish and Swedish, with Poles and Lithuanians arriving later. Since its listing, the house has been resided and the porches removed.

WCHC (88.1 FM) is the student-run radio station of College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, its city of license and broadcasts at a frequency of 88.1 MHz. WCHC's official slogan is: "Worcester's Only Alternative Source" The station is operated by mainly student DJs who play a wide variety of music, from rock to classical and modern, including talk shows about sports, politics, and modern events.
