Pasig Cathedral

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig (Latin: Dioecesis Pasiginae; Filipino: Diyosesis ng Pasig) is the diocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church in the Philippines that comprises the cities of Pasig and Taguig (with the exception of the Embo barangays that were previously part of Makati which are under the jurisdiction of Archdiocese of Manila), and the municipality of Pateros, in Metro Manila, Philippines. It was established by Pope John Paul II on June 28, 2003, by virtue of the papal bull Dei Caritas. It was formally and canonically erected on August 21, 2003, with the installation of Francisco C. San Diego as its first bishop. The Immaculate Conception Cathedral-Parish, located in the central vicinity of Pasig, was made the cathedral or the seat of the diocese.

Pasig Catholic College is a private educational institution located in Pasig, Philippines and was founded by CICM fathers in 1913. It is the cathedral school of the Diocese of Pasig and a part of the Pasig Diocesan School System and the Manila Archdiocesan Parish and School Administration. Pasig Catholic College celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2013.

The Colegio del Buen Consejo is a private Catholic educational institution in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines, run by the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation. The college was founded in 1909 and replaced the previous school Beaterio de Santa Rita. The college's building was rebuilt in 1948 after being damaged in the Battle of Manila during World War II.

The Pasig City Museum is a historic house museum in Pasig, Metro Manila in the Philippines. The museum is housed in the old Concepcion Mansion, owned by the former mayor of Pasig, Don Fortunato Cabrera Concepcion who served from 1918 to 1921. This magnificent structure was built as a gift to his wife, Victoria Concepcion. A native of Pasig, architect Felizardo M. Dimanlig, designed this Spanish-Baroque mansion and completed it in 1937. Today, the museum showcases the timeline of the history of Pasig, as well as collections of objects corresponding to periods of historical development of Pasig. It is in the poblacion area, at one end of Plaza Rizal, in Barangay San Jose.

Rizal High School (Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Rizal) or commonly known as RHS an institution of secondary education based in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines, has been listed as the “largest secondary school in the world” since 1993 by the Guinness Book of World Records until 2005 when City Montessori School in Lucknow, India held the title of the world's biggest school, when it had 29,212 pupils, beating Rizal High School in Manila, Philippines, which had 19,738 pupils.The school was named after the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Notable graduates of the institution include former Senate presidents Neptali Gonzales and Senator Jovito Salonga, former Senator Rene Saguisag, Maestro Lucio San Pedro, and National Artist Carlos “Botong” Francisco to mention a few.

The Marikina River (Tagalog: Ilog Marikina) is a river in eastern Metro Manila, Philippines. It is the largest tributary of the Pasig River, with headwaters located in the Sierra Madre Mountains in Rodriguez, Rizal province. The Marikina River used to be an important transport route during the Spanish colonial era, but its importance as a transport route diminished when the Philippines' national highway system became more established. The resulting lack of river boat traffic and the deforestation of the upland areas in what is now the Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape contributed to the river's siltation, further reducing its value as a transport route.Due to negligence and industrial development, the river has become very polluted, an act which recent Marikina administrations have attempted to address.
