The district of Argenteuil was a pre-Confederation electoral district in Quebec, Canada. It was established in 1853, under the Union regime of 1841. Argenteuil was represented by one Member at the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada.

It graduates around 150 students a year and has an average of around 900-1100 students each school year. The school motto is Learning and Respect Harvest Success. Their Rugby Team is known as the Celts. The program has grown over the past 8 years to produce over 20 young players to represent Québec in the Canadian National Rugby Festival since 2009.

The airport is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). CBSA officers at this airport can handle general aviation aircraft only, with no more than 15 passengers.

Lachute (French pronunciation: [laʃyt]) is a town in southwest Quebec, Canada, 62 km (39 mi) northwest of Montreal, on the Rivière du Nord, a tributary of the Ottawa River, and west of Mirabel International Airport. It is located on Autoroute 50, at the junctions of Quebec Provincial Highways Route 148, Route 158, and Secondary Highways 327 and 329. Lachute is the seat of Argenteuil Regional County Municipality, and is served by the Lachute Airport. Its major industries include paper mills and lumber. The population is about 14,000 people.

CJLA-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Lachute, Quebec. Owned and operated by Cogeco following its 2018 acquisition of most of the stations formerly owned by RNC Media, it broadcasts on 104.9 MHz using an omnidirectional antenna with an effective radiated power of 3,000 watts (class A). The station airs an adult contemporary format (with a heavy emphasis towards oldies since 2006) branded as Wow; it was known as Lov Radio from 2006 until September 2008, when almost all RNC stations rebranded as Planète). Part of CJLA-FM's programming is simulcast on co-owned CHPR-FM in neighbouring Hawkesbury, Ontario on 102.1. Its musical playlist is similar to the Montreal French adult contemporary stations CFGL-FM and CITE-FM (although the playlist of CFGL-FM, a sister station to CJLA-FM, is more closer due to CFGL-FM playing more oldies/classic hits than CITE-FM).

Voyageur Provincial Park is a provincial park located in eastern Ontario, Canada, opposite the once furious Long Sault rapids of the Ottawa River around which voyageurs portaged on their way upstream. Established in 1966, the park was formerly known as Carillon Provincial Park.The park has 416 campsites, 110 with electrical service. Group camping is also available. The park has a day-use area and comfort stations for campers. There are two hiking trails—Coureur de Bois Trail (2 km; 1¼ miles, 1 hour) and Outouais Trail (5 km; 3 miles return)—both rated easy. In the winter, cross-country ski trails are available.
