Honiton ( or ) is a market town and civil parish in East Devon, situated close to the River Otter, 17 miles (27 km) north east of Exeter in the county of Devon. Honiton has a population estimated at 11,822 (based on mid-year estimates for the two Honiton Wards in 2009).

Honiton Community College is a comprehensive academy school located in Honiton, Devon, England. It was originally established as Honiton Secondary School in 1938, and converted to an academy in 2011. The school educates around 735 students, of whom 95 are in age 16-19 study programmes, and employs 124 staff. The current principal is Alex Kirkbride, who follows Glenn Smith, who in turn, took up the post in September 2009 following the retirement of predecessor Norman Tyson.The school held 'specialist' status in science from 2005 until the specialist schools programme ended in 2010.

Honiton Town Football Club is a football club based in Honiton, Devon, England. They are currently members of the South West Peninsula League Premier Division East and play at Mountbatten Park.

Combe Raleigh () is a village and civil parish in the county of Devon, England. The village lies about 1.5 miles north of the town of Honiton, and the parish is surrounded, clockwise from the north, by the parishes of Luppitt, Honiton, Awliscombe and Dunkeswell.The word 'Combe' is of Celtic origin meaning 'valley' (the same as cwm) whilst the name 'Raleigh' comes from the Raleigh family's ownership of the village in the thirteenth century. The 15th-century parish church (St. Nicholas) has three bells and its minister is shared with the nearby village of Awliscombe. The village has no shops. In the past twenty to thirty years agriculture has declined considerably in the area, but the village does have three horticulture-based businesses. The most recently opened business being St. Isidore Agriculture Ltd.

Church Green is a hamlet in the civil parish of Farway in the East Devon district of Devon, England. Its nearest town is Honiton, which lies approximately 2.9 miles (4.7 km) north from the hamlet.

Offwell is a village and civil parish in East Devon in the English county of Devon, approximately 2 miles south-east from the nearest town, Honiton. Offwell can be accessed by the nearby A35 road. Offwell is a small village with a primary school and a post office. The village sits next to the Offwell woodland, which has its own wildlife trust.The medieval church of St Mary has a chancel arch, one chancel window and a south doorway which date from c. 1200. There are a west tower, a north aisle and a north chapel. Features of interest include the early 18th-century pulpit and reader's desk, the Lord's prayer and creed mural painting, and some Jacobean carvings.Offwell House, built in 1830, was the residence of Bishop Copleston. The Copleston family arrived in the parish in the late 18th Century and provided many of its Rectors from 1772 to 1954, with notable Rectors including The Reverend John Copleston. They transformed the village and parish with their generosity and influence.Because of the complexities of its medieval past, Offwell had no Lord of the Manor and so the church was the focus of authority. This authority was wielded not only by its Rectors, who varied greatly in their commitment to the parish, but also by its landowners who served as churchwardens, and sometimes as overseers of the poor, by rotation.

Gittisham is a village and civil parish in Devon near Honiton. The village is 3 miles (5 km) from Ottery St Mary and it has a church called St Michael. The parish is surrounded, clockwise from the north, by the parishes of Awliscombe, Honiton, Sidmouth, Ottery St Mary, Feniton and Buckerell.

Deer Park Country House near Honiton, Devon is a house of historical significance and is Grade II listed on the English Heritage Register. It was built in the early 1700s by a wealthy landowner and was the home of many notable people over the next two centuries. Today it is a venue for special events including conferences and weddings.

Pomeroy Wood is the site near Honiton in Devon of a Roman military site of unknown type, probably either a fort or marching camp, though archaeological investigations have proved inconclusive. The site is at SY1399. The site was investigated during improvements to the A30 Honiton to Exeter road in the late 1990s. A rampart made of earth and timber was found and outside were two deep ditches with narrow ankle breakers at their bases. Preserved biological finds indicate that the garrison included a cavalry unit.Rubbings of samian ware found at Pomeroy Wood can be viewed at the Study Group for Roman Pottery website.

Awliscombe is a village and civil parish in the East Devon district of Devon, England. The village is about two miles west of Honiton. The 2011 census showed a population of 500 for the parish, which is surrounded clockwise from the north by the parishes of Dunkeswell, Combe Raleigh, Honiton, Gittisham, Buckerell, Payhembury and Broadhembury.In the centre of the village is the church of St Michael & All Angels and Awliscombe C of E Primary School.The village has been described as having "a fine show of medieval stonework", and the church screen as being "one of the splendid survivals of the best craftsmanship of medieval Devon".

Farway is a small village, civil parish and former manor in the East Devon district of Devon, England. The village is situated about 3+1⁄2 miles (5.6 km) south-east of Honiton. The village lies on the River Coly, which rises in the north of the civil parish and which is crossed by a ford in the village. The small parish church of St Michael has a tower with 13th century north aisle arcade incorporating Norman piers. Features of interest include the Elizabethan communion table and various monuments. The bust to Humphrey Hutchins commemorates his rebuilding of part of the church in 1628; the monument to Sir Edmund Prideaux, 1st Baronet (d. 1628/29) of Netherton shows recumbent effigies of himself and his son.

Hartridge Hill is an elongated, peat hill situated in the Luppitt catchment area of East Devon, England. Mostly privately owned and primarily used for farming this is, with a peak rising 261 metres (856 ft) asl, one of the highest spots in the Otter Valley. At its highest and most southerly point there is a tumulus or burial mound. At its most southerly point lies the hamlet of Beacon.
