Fischbach is a municipality in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland-Palatinate, western Germany.

Hochspeyer station – originally officially Neuhochspeyer or Neu-Hochspeyer – is the station of the town of Hochspeyer in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Deutsche Bahn classifies it as belonging to category 4 and it has four platform tracks. The station is located in the network of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar (Rhine-Neckar transport association, VRN) and belongs to fare zone 100. Its address is Bahnhofstraße 1.It is located on the Mannheim–Saarbrücken railway, which essentially consists of the Palatine Ludwig Railway (Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn, Ludwigshafen–Bexbach). It became a junction station on 29 October 1870, with the opening of the Alsenz Valley Railway (Alsenztalbahn) to Winnweiler; half a year later this line was extended to Bad Münster. The importance of this line, however, fell with the opening of Kaiserslautern–Enkenbach railway a few years later. Since December 2003, it has also been a stop for lines S1 and S2 of the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn.

Frankenstein (Pfalz) station is the station of the town of Frankenstein in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Deutsche Bahn classifies it as a category 6 station and it has two platforms. It is located on the Mannheim–Saarbrücken railway, which essentially consists of the Palatine Ludwig Railway (Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn, Ludwigshafen–Bexbach). It was opened on 2 December 1848 with the Kaiserslautern–Frankenstein section of the Ludwig Railway. On 25 August of the following year, the gap to Neustadt was closed, so that the Ludwig Railway had reached its full length. Since December 2003 it has been a stop for services on line S1 and S2 of the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn. Its entrance building is a protected monument.

Frankenstein Castle is a medieval fortification on a spur above the village of Frankenstein, Rhineland-Palatinate in the Palatinate Forest in Germany. Its name derives from the local House of Frankenstein.

Alsenborn (German pronunciation: [ˈalzn̩ˌbɔʁn] ) is a village forming part of the municipality of Enkenbach-Alsenborn within the district of Kaiserslautern in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It has a population of 2,750. Until 1969 Alsenborn was an independent parish before merging with Enkenbach under the administrative reforms in the state. Alsenborn is known country-wide for its circus troupes, the football team of SV Alsenborn, which competed for promotion to the premier league in 1970, and as the home town of Fritz Walter, the 1954 captain of the German Football Team and World Cup champions.

It consists of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"): Enkenbach-Alsenborn Fischbach Frankenstein Hochspeyer Mehlingen Neuhemsbach Sembach WaldleiningenOriginally established on 7 June 1969 from the combination of the villages of Enkenbach and Alsenborn, it was expanded to include the villages of Sembach, Mehlingen and Neuhemsbach on 22 April 1972. On 1 July 2014 it was expanded with the 4 municipalities of the former Verbandsgemeinde Hochspeyer.

On 16 May of the following year it was opened over its whole length. In 1875, the station became the eastern end of the Kaiserslautern–Enkenbach railway, which formed a shorter route for trains from the Alsenz line to Kaiserslautern. In 1932, the Eis Valley Railway (Eistalbahn, Grünstadt–Eisenberg), which was opened in 1876, was extended through to Enkenbach. Between Eiswoog and Enkenbach, the latter line has now been closed.
