Darnsee

Bramsche is a town in the district of Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is about 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Osnabrück, at 52°24′N 7°59′E. Population is 30,952 (2018).

Sögeln is a village in Lower Saxony, Germany. Since 1972, it has been a part of the city of Bramsche. The village developed around a castle from the 14th century.

The Osnabrück Canal (German: Stichkanal Osnabrück, formerly the Zweigkanal Osnabrück) or SKO, is an artificial waterway, about 14.5 kilometres (9 mi) long, that links the Mittelland Canal in central Germany with the port in the town of Osnabrück. It was built between 1910 and 1915 and runs largely parallel to the unnavigable River Hase, the greatest distance between the two being about 1 kilometre (0.6 mi). The 11th Armoured Division crossed the canal during World War II as it advanced across Germany.

The Schleptruper Egge is a hill, 148 m high, in the Bramsche parish of Schleptrup and is part of the Wiehen Hills. To the north is the bog of Großes Moor at a height of about 47 m above sea level (NHN), the Mittelland Canal built in the 20th century and the Bramsche parish of Kalkriese. Immediately east of the Schleptruper Egge runs the A 1 motorway, the so-calle Hanseatic Line (Hansalinie). On the top of the Schleptruper Egge is the mast of the NDR Osnabrück-Engter Transmitter. The long distance path of Hünenweg, managed by the Weser-Ems Wiehen Hills Society (Wiehengebirgsverband Weser-Ems), which runs from Osnabrück to Papenburg, also leads over the Schleptruper Egge.

Rieste is a municipality in the district of Osnabrück, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

The Alfsee is a reservoir in the north of the district of Osnabrück in the state of Lower Saxony in north Germany. It has an area of 2.2 km². It acts as a flood retention basin for the catchment area of the Hase and as local recreational area.

Wallenhorst is a municipality in the district of Osnabrück, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated in the Wiehengebirge, approx. 10 km north of Osnabrück. The New St. Alexander Church serves as a reference height for all other heights in the German Mean Height Reference System (Normalhöhennull).

The Gehn is a small ridge of hills between Bramsche and Ueffeln in Germany's Central Uplands, that are an extension of the Wiehen Hills (German: Wiehengebirge). The ridge runs from northwest to southeast and is about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) long and an average of 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) wide. The highest point is the Kettelberg which is 108 m above sea level (NN) high. The Gehn forms a link between the Wiehen Hills and the Ankum Heights (Ankumer Höhe). It is largely forested and is not - like the Ankum Heights- part of a series of ice age terminal moraines from the latest event of the Saalian glaciation, the so-called Drenthe I stage, but is a ridge of Jurassic rock that was pushed up during the folding towards the end of the Cretaceous period. Like the Wiehen Hills and the Ankum Heights, the Gehn belongs to the North Teutoburg Forest-Wiehen Hills Nature Park (Naturpark Nördlicher Teutoburger Wald-Wiehengebirge).

Achmer Airport (German: Flugplatz Achmer) (ICAO: EDXA) is a regional airport located 4 km (2 nautical miles) southwest of Bramsche, a town in the district of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony, Germany. It supports general aviation with no commercial airline service scheduled.

Pye is a district of the city of Osnabrück, Germany. Its positioning in the countryside on the outskirts of Osnabrück and its good transport connections to the city make it an appealing area for residents. Until 1972 Pye was a separate village in the district of Osnabrück. It belonged to the parish of St. Johann (St. John) in Osnabrück and was a predominantly Catholic area. Agriculture formed the backbone of the local economy. On 1 July 1972 it became a district of Osnabrück; since 1978 it has had its own parish (St. Matthias). Pye is also the location of the Piesberg (derived from "Pyes Berg" (Pye's Mountain)). Coal mining took place here during the 19th and 20th centuries. Even today, stones continue to be mined from the Piesberg quarry. The Piesberg was also the location of the largest landfill site in the Osnabrück region until June 2006. The Museum Industriekultur (Museum of Industrial Culture) is situated on the Piesberg, giving insight into the history of mining on the mountain. In Pye there is a street called "Am Pyer Ding". This is in reference to the Old German term "Thing" - meaning that Pye was also the location of such a "Thing". The countryside surrounding Pye is mostly characterised by small to medium-sized woods, grassland and a branch canal, which is an offshoot of the Mittelland Canal. The Osnabrück-Piesberg railway station is located at the edge of the district - currently it is only used for special train journeys (using steam locomotives) on event days, travelling there from the central station in Osnabrück via the Osnabrück-Altstadt station.

Düte is a river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It flows into the Hase northwest of Osnabrück.

Hyde Park is a live music venue located in Osnabrück, Germany. It opened in 1976 and has hosted artists such as Magnum, Hawkwind, Morbid Angel, Girlschool, Krokus and Yngwie Malmsteen. Due to noise complaints, the actual location of the venue has changed over the years.
