Dalston is a proposed railway station on the Crossrail 2 line in Dalston, Greater London. It would be an underground station providing interchange with the existing Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction stations.

The Four Aces Club was a pioneering music and recreational space on Dalston Lane in Hackney, London. Based in a building that had formerly been the North London Colosseum and Amphitheatre and then a cinema, in the 1960s and 1970s the club became one of the first venues to play black music in the United Kingdom. It was credited with playing a significant "role in the evolution of reggae into dance music, from ska, to rocksteady, to dub, to lovers, to dancehall and the evolution of jungle." Many notable Afro-Caribbean musicians appeared at the Four Aces, which was often referred to as "the jewel in Dalston's crown". As well as reggae and dub artists, its clientele over the years including stars such as Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder and Jimmy Cliff.In the early 1990s, it became home to the early indoor "rave scene" featuring acid house and hardcore under the name Club Labrynth, where The Prodigy made their first live public appearance. The club was closed down in 1997, when Hackney Council exercised the right to a compulsory re-possession of the premises. Despite an active campaign to save the building it was demolished in 2007. It made way for four residential tower blocks, in the new Dalston Square development, with the new Dalston Junction overground railway station aligning with urban regeneration plans for East London in the build-up to the 2012 Olympics.

Dalston Square is a complex located just off Kingsland Road near Dalston Junction station in Dalston, part of the London Borough of Hackney, it includes approximately 500 homes, a library, public space, shops and restaurants.

Dalston Kingsland railway station is a railway station on the North London Line in London, England. It is in the Dalston area of the London Borough of Hackney, on the western side of Kingsland High Street and opposite Ridley Road Market. The station and all trains serving it are operated by London Overground. It is in Travelcard Zone 2. Kingsland railway station was first opened on the site in 1850, but was replaced by Dalston Junction in 1865. The current station was opened by British Rail in 1983. Ticket barriers are in operation. The station straddles the boundary with the London Borough of Islington, with part of the platforms falling within Islington.

Dalston Junction (pronounced ) is an inter-modal rail and bus transport interchange in Dalston, London. It is located at the crossroads of Dalston Lane, Kingsland Road and Balls Pond Road. The station served by London Overground East London line and is in Zone 2. The station is located in a short section of cut and cover tunnel north of the Kingsland Viaduct.

The Vortex Jazz Club is a music venue in London, England. It was founded by David Mossman in the 1988.

Ridley Road Market (known locally as Ridley Road) but often referred to as "Dalston Market" is the central marketplace in Dalston in the London Borough of Hackney. It is opposite Dalston Kingsland railway station, just off the Kingsland High Street section of the A10, about three miles north of the City of London. It sells a wide range of commodities, including food. Goods, particularly fruit and vegetables, are sold from traditional barrows (trolleys) in the pedestrianised street from 8am to 6pm daily (not Sundays or bank holidays). There is a large range of traditional and exotic produce from around the world. Other stalls and many other shops lining the street sell a wide variety of foods and household goods. New style stalls have recently been introduced by the local council.

The Rio Cinema is a Grade II listed independent Art Deco cinema in east London. It is a popular independent cinema located on Kingsland High Street in Dalston, with a history stretching back over 100 years. The Rio added a second screen in the unused basement space in December 2017.The Rio was named one of London's best cinemas by the Daily Telegraph and best cinema bars by the Evening Standard.

Dalston Superstore is an LGBTQ bar and events venue in London. It was opened in May 2009 by Dan Beaumont and Matt Tucker. It hosts a number of club nights and drag events, with each one's individual audiences covering a diverse range of identities within the LGBTQ community. Both Time Out and Cosmopolitan have listed it as one of London's best club venues.

The Clowns Gallery-Museum is a museum of clowning at Holy Trinity Church, Dalston, and Wookey Hole, Somerset, England. Established in 1959, the collection contains costumes and props from famous clowns, as well as a reference library, and is home to the Clown Egg Register, an archive of painted ceramic and hen's eggs which serve as a record of individual clowns' personal make-up designs.The clown egg tradition began in 1946, when Stan Bult, a chemist and founder of Clowns International, took to drawing the faces of club members and famous clowns onto chicken's eggs. The egg gallery was created because according to an unofficial rule, no two clowns are allowed to have the same makeup. In order to ensure that clowns weren't copying each other's makeup style, the practice of painting each unique design onto an egg began. Real eggs were originally used, but were later replaced with ceramic eggs. The gallery is open on the first Friday of each month. The collection is split between the museum's two sites.The museum was established in 1959 in Dalston and the collection was split to a venue in Wookey Hole in 2007. The Dalston museum is situated in what was the vestry of the Holy Trinity Church. It was threatened with closure in 2014, but remained in place. The Wookey Hole museum is run by Gerry Cottle, vice president of Clowns International.The museum is mentioned by Spencer Reid in season 13 episode 17 of the American crime drama Criminal Minds.

Holy Trinity Church, Dalston, also known as the Clowns’ Church, is a Church of England parish church in Beechwood Road in the London Borough of Hackney. It is in the parish of Holy Trinity with St Philip Dalston and All Saints Church, Haggerston (St Philip having been bombed during World War II and demolished some time between 1947 and 1952).From 1998 to 2014, the vicar was Rose Hudson-Wilkin, who also holds the roles of Speaker’s chaplain to the House of Commons, priest vicar at Westminster Abbey and chaplain to the Queen.

Shacklewell Lane Mosque (Turkish: Shacklewell Camii) is a Turkish mosque located in Shacklewell, London. Established by Ramadan Güney, his wife Suheyla Güney and other Trustees Turkish Cypriot in 1977, it is the first ever Turkish mosque in the United Kingdom. The mosque is an Andalusian-style building and was previously a synagogue, known as the New Dalston Synagogue.
