Emlyon Business School

Institut textile et chimique de Lyon (ITECH Lyon) is a French graduate engineering school created in 1988. It is located in Écully, close to Lyon, and specializes in the field of polymeric materials.The College is member of the Union of Independent Grandes Écoles.

The École centrale de Lyon (ECL) is a research university in greater Lyon, France. Founded in 1857 by François Barthélemy Arlès-Dufour in response to the increasing industrialization of France, it is one of the oldest graduate schools in France. The university is part of the Grandes Écoles, a prestigious group of French institutions dedicated to engineering, scientific research, and business education. The current 45-acre (18 ha) campus opened in 1967 and is located in the city of Ecully. The École centrale de Lyon is traditionally known for its research and education in applied science and engineering. It excels in the research fields of acoustics, biosciences and nanotechnology, and is continuously ranked in the top five Grandes Écoles for the quality of its engineering graduate programs. The school is well-reputed for educating and training highly skilled engineers through many specialized graduate programs with a strong emphasis on laboratory instruction. Students graduate with a degree known as the diplôme d'ingénieur, which is an academic title protected by the French government and equivalent to a Master of Science, or with a PhD upon completion of their doctoral studies. The École centrale de Lyon has strong ties with top institutions in Europe including Imperial College London and Darmstadt University of Technology. The university is one of the founding members of the Ecoles Centrales Group network (with campuses in Paris, Nantes, Lille, Marseille, and Beijing). It is also a founding member of University of Lyon's center for Research and Higher Education, which has over 120,000 students. Thus, it shares many of its PhD programs with other institutions part of University of Lyon such as INSA Lyon, École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, and Claude Bernard University Lyon 1.

Charbonnières-les-Bains (French pronunciation: [ʃaʁbɔnjɛʁ le bɛ̃]; Arpitan: Charboniéres) is a commune in the Metropolis of Lyon in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France. It borders Parc de Lacroix-Laval in Marcy-l'Étoile.

Écully (French pronunciation: [ekyli] ; Arpitan: Èculyé) is a commune in the Metropolis of Lyon in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France just west of Lyon. It is the location of the Paul Bocuse Institute, which is partially situated inside the Château du Vivier. It is also the location of many higher education institutions, including École de Management de Lyon and École centrale de Lyon. The city is also home to the French National Institute of Forensic Science. Écully is at 6 km of Lyon downtown. It offers a privileged lifestyle in the countryside just a few minutes from the downtown of the second largest metropolitan area in France. It is also one of the most exclusive towns of Lyon. The city is served by the Transports en commun lyonnais (TCL). The botanist Antoine Cariot (1820–1883) was born in Écully.

Dardilly (French pronunciation: [daʁdiji] ; Arpitan: Dardelyé) is a commune in the Metropolis of Lyon in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France. Its inhabitants are called Dardillois in French.

Tassin la Demi-Lune (French pronunciation: ​[tasɛ̃ la dəmi lyn]) is a commune in Lyon Metropolis in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of central-eastern France. In 2017, it had a population of 22,297. Its inhabitants are named Tassilunois in French.

On 30 March 2002, a group of masked men rammed two cars through the courtyard gates of a synagogue in the La Duchere neighbourhood of Lyon, France, then rammed one of the cars into the prayer hall before setting the vehicles on fire and causing severe damage to the synagogue.

Champagne-au-Mont-d'Or (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃paɲ o mɔ̃ dɔʁ] (listen); Arpitan: Champagne-en-Mont-Tor) is a commune in the Metropolis of Lyon in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France.

2015 World Masters Athletics Championships is the 21st in a series of World Masters Athletics Outdoor Championships that took place in Lyon, France from 4 to 16 August 2015. This was the last odd year of the biennial Championships; beginning in 2016, the Championships will be held in even-numbered years. The change was made to avoid conflict with the quadrennial World Masters Games, which had been held in odd-numbered years since 2005. The main venue was Stade de Balmont (Stade de La Duchère). Supplemental venues included Stade du Rhône (Stade de Parilly) for road races and throwing events, the newly resurfaced Stade Pierre Duboeuf in Bron, the newly resurfaced Stade Laurent Gérin in Vénissieux, and Halle d'athlétisme Stéphane-Diagana as the Centre d'Information Technique. : 14 : 46–51 This Championships was organized by World Masters Athletics (WMA) in coordination with a Local Organising Committee (LOC) led by Marcel Ferrari, Ligue d'Athlétisme Rhône-Alpes (Athlé). The WMA is the global governing body of the sport of athletics for athletes 35 years of age or older, setting rules for masters athletics competition. In addition to a full range of track and field events, non-stadia events included 8K Cross Country, 10K Race Walk, 20K Race Walk, Half Marathon and Marathon.

Lyon-Vaise station (French: Gare de Lyon-Vaise) is a railway station in Lyon, located in the district of Vaise, in the 9th arrondissement. The station is on the historical Paris–Lyon–Marseille (PLM) main line; it is also served by Lyon Metro Line D of which it is the northwestern terminus.

Parc de Lacroix-Laval or Domaine de Lacroix-Laval is a park in the commune of Marcy-l'Étoile, Lyon Metropolis, France. Opened to the public in 1985 it lies entirely within the limits of Marcy-l'Étoile but borders the communes of Charbonnières-les-Bains and la Tour-de-Salvagny.
