Kings and Bakers Woods and Heaths

King's Wood is an area of ancient woodland in the parish of Heath and Reach in Bedfordshire, England. The wood lies north of the village of Heath and Reach and east of Great Brickhill and with neighboring Bakers Wood forms the largest area of ancient woodland in Bedfordshire. Much of the wood lies within Kings Wood and Rushmere National Nature Reserve, jointly owned and managed by the Greensand Trust, Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, Central Bedfordshire Council and Tarmac Aggregates. Kings Wood and many parts of the National Nature Reserve are part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest named Kings and Bakers Woods and Heaths, which also includes Rammamere Heath in Buckinghamshire and Shire Oak Heath in Bedfordshire.

Stockgrove Country Park is located in England on the Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire border in the parish of Heath and Reach. Stockgrove Park's 80 acres is part of the larger 400 acre woods called Rushmere Country Park, managed by the Greensand Trust. The Greensand Trust manages this area comprising Rushmere (200 acres), Stockgrove (80 acres), Oak Wood (100 acres) and Rammamere and parts of Kings Wood. Stockgrove was opened to the public in 1972 and Rushmere is the newest addition to the Estate, opened in 2011. The largest of the lakes features the remains of a boathouse that burned down in 1963 – only its brick arches are left. Mandarin ducks took up residence in 1997 and have bred there ever since. The park is partly in the Kings and Bakers Woods and Heaths Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The club was founded in 1925 with a 9-hole golf course, that was later extended to 18 holes. The course has been ranked as one of the best in Bedfordshire.Arthur Lacey was the club professional from 1927 to 1928. Ian Poulter was the assistant professional for several years before forging a career on the European Tour and the PGA Tour.An earlier club with a similar name, Leighton Buzzard and District Golf Club, was founded in September 1905. This club took over the course formerly used by Grovebury Golf Club, and ceased to exist around 1915.

Nine Acres Pit is a 20.7-hectare (51-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Importance north-east of Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. It was notified in 1986 under Section 28 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, and the local planning authority is Central Bedfordshire Council. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.The site is a sand quarry which was worked by J. Arnold and Sons Limited in the late nineteenth century, and 9,516 tons were dug in 1897. According to Natural England: This locality shows a Lower Cretaceous section spanning the Aptian and Albian stages, including the finest development of Carstone and Shenley Limestone in the Leighton Buzzard area as well as superb exposures of dune bedding in the Upper Woburn Sands.The famous Shenley Limestone contains a unique fossil fauna of a diversity virtually unparalleled in the Albian elsewhere.It is a working quarry and there is no public access.

Great Brickhill is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority area of Buckinghamshire, England. It is on the border with the City of Milton Keynes, located 6 miles (9.7 km) south-east of Central Milton Keynes, and 3 miles (4.8 km) in the same direction from Fenny Stratford.

Little Brickhill is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority area of the City of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. Located immediately to the west of the A5, it is just outside and overlooking the Milton Keynes urban area, about 5 miles (8.0 km) south-east of Central Milton Keynes, 2 miles (3.2 km) south-east of Fenny Stratford, and 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south-east of Woburn, Bedfordshire. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 407.

Ariya Jutanugarn won her first major title, three strokes ahead of runners-up Mirim Lee and| Mo Martin, the 2014 champion.Golf Channel and NBC televised the event in the United States for the first time, while BBC Sport handled the coverage in the UK, for the last time.

Woburn Golf Club is a golf club in England located in Little Brickhill, near Milton Keynes within the county of Bedfordshire, about fifty miles (80 km) northwest of central London. There are three courses at the Woburn property: the "Duke's Course", which opened in 1976; the "Duchess Course", both designed by Charles Lawrie, which followed in 1978; and the "Marquess Course", designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, European Golf Design (Ross McMurray), and Alex Hay, which dates from 2000. It was the 43rd Women's British Open, the nineteenthth as a major championship on the LPGA Tour, and the eleventh at Woburn.Hinako Shibuno, playing for the first time outside of Japan and in her first major, won with 270 (−18), one stroke ahead of runner-up Lizette Salas of the United States. Shibuno, a twenty-year-old-rookie on the LPGA of Japan Tour, had already won twice on that tour in 2019, and added two more in the fall.
