The Elbow River is a river in southern Alberta, Canada. It flows from the Canadian Rockies to the city of Calgary, where it merges into the Bow River.

St. Patrick's Island Park (also simply known as St. Patrick's Island) is a 31-acre public park on an island at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow rivers just northeast of Downtown Calgary. St. Patrick's Island is one of Calgary's oldest parks. Its development as a public space began in the 1890s, gaining momentum as an important public space in the Calgary inner city with the construction of a bridge to the island in the early 1900s. Throughout the decades, the island has been transformed, playing host to a campground in the 1960s, to being the host of squatters for much of the period from the 1980s to the 2000s. For several decades, the island was connected to Calgary's undesirable East Village neighbourhood by a steel and wooden bridge. However, in the late 2000s the Calgary Municipal Land Corporation began a redevelopment of the East Village, with a particular focus on redeveloping St. Patrick's Island into a full-fledged city park with programmed activities and physical access to the Bow River. After years of construction, the newly redeveloped St. Patrick's Island Park opened to the public in July 2015, along with the new George C. King Bridge which connects the island park with both the East Village to the south and Bridgeland to the north.

Ramsay/Inglewood is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction will begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, segment one. The station serves some of Calgary's oldest, most historic areas located in the urban inner-city communities of Ramsay and Inglewood. The station will be an "elevated bridge” over 11 Street SE and parallel to the CP Rail bridge. There will be an at-grade access on the west side from Jefferies Park, and an elevated access on the east end. As part of the station's construction, 11 Street SE will be converted into a pedestrian-friendly main street with transit oriented development. The main street will span southward from Ramsay/Inglewood Station to 26 Avenue SE, where 26 Avenue SE Station will be the main street's southern anchor. There will be no direct transit connections from the station and no park and ride.To make way for construction in 2022, enabling works projects are currently underway in the community. These projects include utility relocation, land preparation and environmental remediation. Additionally, CP Rail is relocating freight railway track and removing abandoned track along the west side of the station.

Bridgeland/Memorial station is a CTrain light rail in Calgary, Alberta. It serves the Northeast Line (Route 202). It opened on April 27, 1985, as part of the original Northeast line. The station is located in the median of Memorial Drive Northeast, 1.4 km from the City Hall Interlocking. A pedestrian overpass connects the station to both sides of Memorial Drive and stairs and escalators, as well as an elevator provide access down to the center-loading platform. In 2004 and 2005, the station underwent upgrading and renovations to improve safety and access for visually impaired users wishing to access the nearby CNIB facility, and also in preparation for increased usage as work on The Bridges - a major inner city redevelopment project on the north side of the station - progressed. The station was closed for a couple of weeks in the summer of 2004 due to the construction. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate 4-car trains by the end of 2014, all 3-car platforms were extended. Construction on the extension of the platform at Bridgeland/Memorial started and was finished in 2014.In 2005, the station registered an average transit of 1,300 boardings per weekday.In the Media In 1993, a re-enactment of an incident involving a 4-year-old child becoming entrapped by an escalator was filmed in the station for the TV show "Rescue 911". Although the incident actually occurred at Rundle LRT station, this station was chosen for having an identical layout and more aesthetically pleasing visuals.

Fort Calgary was a North-West Mounted Police outpost at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow rivers in present-day Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Originally named Fort Brisebois, after the outpost's first commander, the outpost was renamed Fort Calgary in June 1876. The outpost was built in 1875 as a part of the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP) larger effort to curtail American rum and whisky runners in the region, and to create 'good relations' with the Indigenous peoples of the territory. The fort was expanded in 1882 after it was designated as a "district post". The NWMP continued to use the fort until 1914 when the site was sold to Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. The fort was demolished to make way for a rail terminal. The site was later purchased by the municipal government of Calgary in 1973, with work on an interpretive centre taking place in 1977. The site was reopened as a historic site and museum in 1978, with the museum initially documenting the NWMP and its role in the area. The scope of the museum was later reoriented in 1995 to focus on the local history of Calgary. During the 1990s, reconstructions of several buildings that once stood at Fort Calgary took place at the historic site.

Ramsay is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is an inner city community, located east of the Elbow River, Macleod Trail, Stampede Grounds and the Scotiabank Saddledome arena and south of Inglewood. To the southeast, it borders the Alyth-Bonny Brook industrial area. The eastern half of the community consists primarily of older homes and there is an industrial area in the most eastern corner of the community.The area now known as Ramsay was developed in the 1880s by Wesley Fletcher Orr and his partners. It was named Ramsay in 1956 when residents of Burnsland, Brewery Flats, Grandview and Mills Estate consolidated as a new community. It was named for William Thomson Ramsay (1857-1921), an early land agent and property owner. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 9 councillor. The community has an area redevelopment plan in place.In 2020, Calgary City Council approved the construction of Inglewood/Ramsay Station, part of the Calgary Green Line. The station will be elevated over 12 Street SE alongside the freight tracks, near the intersection of 11 Avenue SE / 12 Street SE. Construction will begin early 2021.

St. Anne Academic Centre is a Roman Catholic school located in the community of Ramsay in the city of Calgary, Alberta. The school is operated the jurisdiction of the Calgary Catholic School District.

The George C. King Bridge (formerly known as the St. Patrick's Island Bridge and colloquially known as the Skipping Stone Bridge) is a pedestrian bridge that spans the Bow River just northeast of Downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The bridge connects the neighbourhoods of East Village to the south and Bridgeland to the north, with access from the bridge to St. Patrick's Island Park in the middle of the river. The bridge was built by the Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) as part of the wider redevelopment of the East Village neighbourhood, in tandem with a $45 million redevelopment of St. Patrick's Island Park. Planning for the new bridge began in 2009, with construction getting underway in 2012. The bridge opened on October 20, 2014. The bridge is known locally as the Skipping Stone Bridge due to the form of the bridge, which looks like a stone skipping across the river.

4 Street Southeast is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction will begin in 2023 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, segment 2A. The station is located in Beltline, immediately southeast of downtown Calgary near the confluence of the Bow River and Elbow River. The station will be an integral part of the redevelopment of Calgary's Rivers District, a high-density urban entertainment centre. There will be direct access to the future Calgary Event Centre, the Calgary Stampede grounds, the Scotiabank Saddledome, the National Music Centre, the Central Library, the BMO Centre, St. Patrick's Island and East Village from the station. It will be located under 11 Avenue SE near Olympic Way SE. Additionally, the station and the surrounding streetscape will feature Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design principals to mitigate crime.

Calgary-Egmont was a provincial electoral district in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting from 1971 to 2012.

The Calgary Event Centre was a planned arena complex to be built in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It would have replaced the Scotiabank Saddledome, home of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League. Construction was scheduled to start in early 2022. It was expected to have a capacity of 18,377. Due to disagreements with the city on additional costs, CSEC pulled out of the project on December 22, 2021.

26 Avenue SE is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction will begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, segment one. The station is located in Alyth/Bonnybrook/Manchester near Barlow Trail. The station is located to become the southern anchor for a future main street along 11 Street SE and will be elevated, similar to the existing Sunalta Station. The land surrounding the future station is city-owned and offers scenic views of the Rocky Mountains and the downtown Calgary skyline. The area will be redeveloped with transit oriented development, and approximately 7,600 new residents are anticipated to move to the area after construction of the station. Additionally, it will provide access to the Crossroads Market, as well as the southeastern portion of Ramsay and the industrial areas of Alyth, Bonnybrook and Manchester.
