26 Avenue SE is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction will begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, segment one. The station is located in Alyth/Bonnybrook/Manchester near Barlow Trail. The station is located to become the southern anchor for a future main street along 11 Street SE and will be elevated, similar to the existing Sunalta Station. The land surrounding the future station is city-owned and offers scenic views of the Rocky Mountains and the downtown Calgary skyline. The area will be redeveloped with transit oriented development, and approximately 7,600 new residents are anticipated to move to the area after construction of the station. Additionally, it will provide access to the Crossroads Market, as well as the southeastern portion of Ramsay and the industrial areas of Alyth, Bonnybrook and Manchester.

Ramsay is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is an inner city community, located east of the Elbow River, Macleod Trail, Stampede Grounds and the Scotiabank Saddledome arena and south of Inglewood. To the southeast, it borders the Alyth-Bonny Brook industrial area. The eastern half of the community consists primarily of older homes and there is an industrial area in the most eastern corner of the community.The area now known as Ramsay was developed in the 1880s by Wesley Fletcher Orr and his partners. It was named Ramsay in 1956 when residents of Burnsland, Brewery Flats, Grandview and Mills Estate consolidated as a new community. It was named for William Thomson Ramsay (1857-1921), an early land agent and property owner. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 9 councillor. The community has an area redevelopment plan in place.In 2020, Calgary City Council approved the construction of Inglewood/Ramsay Station, part of the Calgary Green Line. The station will be elevated over 12 Street SE alongside the freight tracks, near the intersection of 11 Avenue SE / 12 Street SE. Construction will begin early 2021.

The City of Calgary Water Centre is the headquarters of Calgary's Water Resources and Water Services' staff, housing its 460 professional and 314 field staff. The four-storey office building was completed in 2008, and upon opening was both the largest LEED-rated office building in Alberta and Alberta's first Gold-certified building. The building was designed through a collaboration between Sturgess Architecture and Manasc Isaac.

Ramsay/Inglewood is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction will begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, segment one. The station serves some of Calgary's oldest, most historic areas located in the urban inner-city communities of Ramsay and Inglewood. The station will be an "elevated bridge” over 11 Street SE and parallel to the CP Rail bridge. There will be an at-grade access on the west side from Jefferies Park, and an elevated access on the east end. As part of the station's construction, 11 Street SE will be converted into a pedestrian-friendly main street with transit oriented development. The main street will span southward from Ramsay/Inglewood Station to 26 Avenue SE, where 26 Avenue SE Station will be the main street's southern anchor. There will be no direct transit connections from the station and no park and ride.To make way for construction in 2022, enabling works projects are currently underway in the community. These projects include utility relocation, land preparation and environmental remediation. Additionally, CP Rail is relocating freight railway track and removing abandoned track along the west side of the station.

Highfield is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction will begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, segment one. The station is located in Calgary's oldest industrial area. The station will be at-grade, parallel to the existing freight railway tracks, and will have a bus loop. The station is expected to stimulate growth of the industrial park, because of increased transit connections for workers. The area has been identified by the City of Calgary to potentially become a generator for new commercial and high tech incubator development.

Inglewood is an urban neighbourhood in central Calgary, Alberta, Canada, centred on 9th Avenue SE for several blocks east of the Elbow River and downtown. GMC Stadium is a 17,000-seat, plus 8,000 more with standing room, stadium in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It annually hosts the rodeo, the chuckwagon races and the evening grandstand show portions of the Calgary Stampede. Thoroughbred racing on the half-mile track here ended in 2008, making the annual chuckwagon races during Stampede Week the only event that now uses the track.In June 2022 the Stampede Grandstand was renamed GMC Stadium.

Scotiabank Saddledome is a multi-use indoor arena in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Located in Stampede Park in the southeast end of downtown Calgary, the Saddledome was built in 1983 to replace the Stampede Corral as the home of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, and to host ice hockey and figure skating at the 1988 Winter Olympics. The facility also hosts concerts, conferences and other sporting championships, and events for the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. It underwent a major renovation in 1994–95 and sold its naming rights, during which its original name of Olympic Saddledome was changed to Canadian Airlines Saddledome. The facility was given the name Pengrowth Saddledome in 2000, after Pengrowth Management Ltd. signed a ten-year agreement. It adopted its current name in October 2010 as Scotiabank signed on as title sponsor. The Saddledome is owned by the City of Calgary, who leases it to the Saddledome Foundation, a non-profit organization, to oversee its operation. Since 1996, it has been managed by the Flames. The Saddledome was damaged during the 2013 Alberta floods in June and July that year, but was repaired and reopened in time for the 2013–14 NHL season. The arena's roof is shaped like a horse saddle, thus earning the name "Saddledome".

The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition, and festival held every July in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The ten-day event, which bills itself as "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth", attracts over one million visitors per year and features one of the world's largest rodeos, a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon racing, and First Nations exhibitions. In 2008, the Calgary Stampede was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame.The event's roots are traced to 1886 when the Calgary and District Agricultural Society held its first fair. In 1912, American promoter Guy Weadick organized his first rodeo and festival, known as the Stampede. He returned to Calgary in 1919 to organize the Victory Stampede in honour of soldiers returning from World War I. Weadick's festival became an annual event in 1923 when it merged with the Calgary Industrial Exhibition to create the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. Organized by thousands of volunteers and supported by civic leaders, the Calgary Stampede has grown into one of the world's richest rodeos, one of Canada's largest festivals, and a significant tourist attraction for the city. Rodeo and chuckwagon racing events are televised across Canada. However, both have been the target of increasing international criticism by animal welfare groups and politicians concerned about particular events as well as animal rights organizations seeking to ban rodeo in general. Calgary's national and international identity is tied to the event. It is known as the "Stampede City", carries the informal nickname of "Cowtown", and the local Canadian Football League team is called the Stampeders. The city takes on a party atmosphere during Stampede: office buildings and storefronts are painted in cowboy themes, residents don western wear, and events held across the city include hundreds of pancake breakfasts and barbecues.

The Calgary Event Centre was a planned arena complex to be built in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It would have replaced the Scotiabank Saddledome, home of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League. Construction was scheduled to start in early 2022. It was expected to have a capacity of 18,377. Due to disagreements with the city on additional costs, CSEC pulled out of the project on December 22, 2021.
