Cisowa [t͡ɕiˈsɔva] is a district of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Poland, located in the northern part of the city. The name of the district is of Polish origin and comes from the word cis, which means "yew".During the Third Silesian Uprising, on May 8, 1921, Polish insurgents captured Cisowa from the Germans without a fight.

Lichynia [liˈxɨɲa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Leśnica, within Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Leśnica, 11 km (7 mi) south-west of Strzelce Opolskie, and 35 km (22 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole.

Schloss Slawentzitz (Polish: Pałac Sławięcice) was a stately home in Sławięcice (part of Kędzierzyn-Koźle), in the historic Silesia (Upper Silesia) region in Poland. It served as the main residence of the princes of Hohenlohe-Öhringen, a branche of the House of Hohenlohe. It was heavily damaged in the Second World War and has subsequently been demolished. Only a portico remains.

Łąki Kozielskie (Polish pronunciation: [ˈwɔŋkʲi kɔˈʑɛlskʲɛ]) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Leśnica, within Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Leśnica, 13 km (8 mi) south-west of Strzelce Opolskie, and 36 km (22 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole.

Sławięcice [swavjɛnˈt͡ɕit͡sɛ] is a district of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Opole Voivodeship, Poland, located in the eastern part of the city.

Blechhammer was the second-largest subcamp of Auschwitz concentration camp, part of the Blechhammer industrial area where several camps were located. The camp was evacuated on 21 January 1945; five days later, German forces returned to kill some survivors who had been left behind.

Gmina Leśnica, German Gemeinde Leschnitz is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in Upper Silesia in Poland. Its seat is the town of Leśnica (Leschnitz), which lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-west of Strzelce Opolskie and 32 km (20 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole. The gmina covers an area of 94.63 square kilometres (36.5 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 7,569. Since 2006 the commune, like much of the area, has been bilingual in German and Polish, a substantial German population remaining in the area after Silesia was given to Poland. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Góra Świętej Anny Landscape Park.

Kędzierzyn-Koźle County (Polish: powiat kędzierzyńsko-kozielski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Opole Voivodeship, south-western Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and only town is Kędzierzyn-Koźle, which lies 40 kilometres (25 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole. The county covers an area of 625.28 square kilometres (241.4 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population is 94,135, out of which the population of Kędzierzyn-Koźle is 60,852 and the rural population is 33,283.

Kędzierzyn-Koźle [kɛɲˈd͡ʑɛʐɨn ˈkɔʑlɛ] (Silesian: Kandrzin-Koźle) is a city in southern Poland, the administrative center of Kędzierzyn-Koźle County. With 58,899 inhabitants as of 2021, it is the second most-populous city in the Opole Voivodeship.

Niezdrowice [ɲɛzdrɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ujazd, within Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of Ujazd, 16 km (10 mi) south of Strzelce Opolskie, and 45 km (28 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole. The history of the village dates back to medieval Poland. Its name comes from the Polish words nie zdrowy ("not healthy"). Between 1871 and 1945 it was part of Germany. In 1936, during a massive Nazi campaign of renaming of placenames, it was renamed Neubrücken to remove traces of Polish origin. In the final stages of World War II, in January 1945, the Germans executed a group of prisoners of the Auschwitz concentration camp in the village. After the war the village became again part of Poland and its original name was restored.
