Lichtenvoorde-Groenlo railway station

Lievelde (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlivəldə]) is a small village in the province of Gelderland, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. It is located in between the two towns of Groenlo and Lichtenvoorde. Lievelde is the place where the regional train station is situated, called Lichtenvoorde-Groenlo railway station. Lievelde is known locally for its "wool corso", a parade of people and self-made vehicles, fully clothed in colourful died wool, unlike the "flower corso" for which Lichtenvoorde is famous, among others. In Lievelde is a more or less intact sconce, the Engelse schans (English sconce), which was used during the Siege of Groenlo in 1627.

The Zwarte Cross Festival is the largest paid festival in the Netherlands, and the largest motor event in the world. The 19th edition in 2015 had 197,450 visitors and the 20th edition in 2016 numbered 220,000 visitors. The festival is a combination of motorcross, music, theatre and stunts. 'Zwarte Cross' literally means 'black cross'; it is a reference to the illegal motocross races in the 1960s.

Lichtenvoorde is a town in the east of the Netherlands, in the municipality of Oost Gelre. Lichtenvoorde holds a flower parade (bloemencorso) every September at the start of its annual festival. The parade features floats covered in flowers (usually dahlias) in imaginative designs depicting a variety of themes. Lichtenvoorde has a motorcross circuit on which international grands prix are held.

Oost Gelre is a municipality in the Achterhoek, in the eastern Netherlands. On 1 January 2005, the municipalities Groenlo and Lichtenvoorde merged and formed the new municipality Oost Gelre, which was called Groenlo until 19 May 2006.

't Klooster is a hamlet in the municipality of Aalten, near Bredevoort (Achterhoek region) in the eastern Netherlands. 't Klooster is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Aalten.Klooster is a Dutch word for "monastery". In the fifteenth century, what is now 't Klooster was home to a monastery named "Nazareth" or "Schaer" devoted to the Devotio Moderna. In addition, in 2005, a bronze statue was revealed, designed by artist Jan te Kulve, which shows an inhabitant of the former monastery wearing the outfit of his order. In 1975, the name 't Klooster first appeared for the hamlet. It has no place name signs, and consists of about 40 houses.

Avest (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈaː.vəst]; Achterhoeks: Auste; also Aves, Oves) is a hamlet in the municipality of Berkelland in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. It is originally a hamlet that fell within the heerlijkheid of Borculo, the kerspel Groenlo and the voogdij of Beltrum. In 1552, Rosier van Bronckhorst was named as voogd of Eibergen, Neede, and Beltrum. From this voogdij, the municipality of Beltrum arose in the Batavian-French period, which was dissolved in 1819 and added to the municipality of Eibergen. Since January 1, 2005, Avest has been part of the municipality of Berkelland. The hamlet is located south of the Hupselse Beek. The Oude (Grolse) Beek runs through it. Part of the new regional industrial estate De Laarberg is located on land that once belonged to the marke of Avest.

Hollenberg is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Aalten, between Aalten and Bredevoort.Hollenberg was an execution site in the 18th century. The postal authorities have placed it under Aalten.

Beltrum is a village in the region called Achterhoek in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands.

Bredevoort (Low Saxon: Brevoort) is a small city with city privileges of about 1600 inhabitants in the municipality of Aalten, Netherlands. It is between the towns of Aalten and Winterswijk. Bredevoort has presented itself as Bredevoort boekenstad (Bredevoort book town), after the examples of Hay-on-Wye in Wales and Redu in Belgium. There are now more than 20 second-hand book shops in the town. Bredevoort was a Heerlijkheid and a separate municipality until 1818. The villages Aalten, Dinxperlo and Winterswijk included the fiefdom of Bredevoort when it became a part of Aalten in 1818.

De Prins van Oranje (English: The Prince of Orange) is a tower mill in Bredevoort, Gelderland, Netherlands which was built in 1870 and has been restored to working order. The mill is listed as a Rijksmonument.

Zieuwent is a village in the east of the Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Oost Gelre, Gelderland. Zieuwent has the tallest church tower in the Achterhoek region.

Aalten (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈaːltə(n)] ) is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. The former municipalities of Bredevoort (1818) and Dinxperlo (2005) have been merged with Aalten. Notable inhabitants of Aalten include Angus Young, guitarist of the Australian rock band AC/DC, and Robert Gesink, a professional road bicycle racer. During World War II, 51 of Aalten's 85 Jews were hidden by local non-Jews, and thereby survived the war. According to the War and Resistance Museum in Aalten, the village had the highest number of people in hiding during World War II. The village of approximately 13,000 residents hid some 2,500 people.
