Angat [aŋˈɡat], officially the Municipality of Angat (Tagalog: Bayan ng Angat), is a municipality in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 65,617 people. The town got its name after the Tagalog word Angat (A-ngat) [aˈŋat], meaning elevated or a high piece of land.

Santa Monica Parish Church, commonly known as Angat Church, is a Roman Catholic church in Angat, Bulacan, Philippines. It is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Malolos and is one of the oldest churches in Bulacan province, dating back to 1758. It displays Baroque architectural characteristics and features ceiling paintings which resemble those in the Sistine Chapel.

Pulong-Buhangin, municipality of Santa Maria, Bulacan province, Philippines, offering undergraduate programs. The extension was created through a Memorandum of Agreement between the university and the Santa Maria Municipality government. Professor Emilia C. Mateo, MAT, MBE served as the extension's first directress, followed by Prof. Arlene R. Queri then Prof. Orlando Batongbakal (as OIC), Engr. Aureluz L. Torres, Prof. Kathryn Placido (as Acting Director), Lualhati dela Cruz, Prof. Jose M. Abat and Prof. Ricardo F. Ramiscal took the position followed by Prof. Artemus G. Cruz, Dr. Marissa Baybay and the current director is Prof. Len Isip. Last September 2018, PUP Santa Maria Bulacan Campus celebrated its 13th Founding Anniversary.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, also known as Nuestra Señora del Carmen Parish, is a Roman Catholic church situated in Km. 38, Barangay Pulong Buhangin, Santa Maria, in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. It is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Malolos and within the Vicariate of Santa Maria. Having been one of with rich history of origination, constant miracles and intercessions to her beloved land of Barrio Pulong Buhangin, and by the clamor of its devotees, the image has been granted with episcopal coronation on September 8, 2019. The devotees and parishioners fervently pray and excitingly await for the image to be granted with canonical coronation, and for the parish to be elevated to a diocesan shrine as the center of the brown scapular devotion in the Diocese. In February 2023, the image was accorded by the local government of Santa Maria with the title "Mother and Queen of Pulong Buhangin" by passing a resolution filed by Hon. Jess De Guzman, a municipal councilor. The resolution was based on the image's popularity among the parishioners and devotees, importance to the historical roots not only for Pulong Buhangin but also for Santa Maria, and several testimonies of miracles through the intercession of the our lady. The resolution was unanimously approved by the municipal council. To symbolize this historic moment, a badge with the logo of the municipal government was attached to the image. Barangay Pulong Buhangin celebrates its barrio fiesta every third Sunday of February to commemorate the arrival of the image of our lady, otherwise known as "translacion" to the barrio. The parish also celebrates the memorial of Our Lady of Mount Carmel every July 16.

San Rafael, officially the Municipality of San Rafael (Tagalog: Bayan ng San Rafael, Kapampangan: Balen ning San Rafael), is a municipality in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 108,256 people.

San Juan de Dios Parish Church, commonly known as San Rafael Church, is an 18th-century Roman Catholic church situated in Brgy. Poblacion, in San Rafael, Bulacan, Philippines. It is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Malolos. Its titular patron is St. John of God; Saint Raphael, archangel, is the secondary patron saint. The church was the site of the Battle of San Rafael, wherein hundreds of retreating Filipino soldiers and civilians lost their lives during a battle with the Spanish on November 30, 1896. A historical marker by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines was installed in front of the church in 1997 to commemorate the massacre of an estimated 800 Filipinos.

Bustos Dam, also known as Angat Afterbay Regulator Dam, is a small irrigation dam at Bustos, Bulacan is often mistaken by the locals as Angat Dam since it is located close to the nearby town of Angat. The project is located at Barangay Tibagan, Bustos, Bulacan, served by the Angat River. The main dam is about 18 meters above sea level. Among the 2.5-meter high, six-span dam's main features are easily deflatable and inflatable rubber body, resistance to sedimentation, economical and having auto-deflation system.

Bulacan State University (BulSU or BSU; Filipino: Pamantasang Pampamahalaan ng Bulacan) is a public university in Bulacan province, Philippines. Its main campus is in Malolos. BulSU or BSU originated as a secondary school in 1904 ran by the Americans, and has now progressed into one of the biggest educational institutions in Region III. The university is mandated to provide technical training and to promote research, advanced studies, and progressive leadership. It has been identified by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as one of the Center for Excellence and Development institutions in the country and one of the Training Centers nationwide for teachers pursuing education in areas beyond their specialization.

San Jose del Monte, officially the City of San Jose del Monte (abbreviated as SJDM or CSJDM; Filipino: Lungsod ng San Jose del Monte), is a 1st class component city in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 651,813 people, making it the largest local government unit within the province of Bulacan and Central Luzon and the 18th most populated city in the Philippines. The City of San Jose del Monte had been proclaimed as a highly urbanized city on December 4, 2020, by the virtue of Proclamation No. 1057, signed by President Rodrigo Duterte and shall take effect after the ratification in a plebiscite. Located in the southeast of the province, it is bordered by the city of Caloocan in Metro Manila to the south, by the town of Rodriguez, Rizal to the east, the towns of Santa Maria and Marilao to the west and Norzagaray to the north. The city is home to some of the biggest resettlement areas in the Philippines like the Sapang Palay resettlement area spread over 36 barangays, Pabahay 2000 in Barangay Muzon and Towerville in Barangay Minuyan Proper. Most of the city's population come from former informal settlers along the creeks, esteros, riverbanks and railway tracks of Metro Manila.
