Jelični Vrh (pronounced [jɛˈliːtʃni ˈʋəɾx]; German: Jelitschenwerch) is a dispersed settlement in the hills southeast of Idrija in the traditional Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. It includes the hamlets of Baraka, Goverkarjev Vrh, Kališe, Pod Veharšami (or Veharše), and Vrh Žale.

The Črni Vrh Observatory (Slovene: Observatorij Črni Vrh, IAU code: 106) is an astronomical observatory located in western Slovenia, close to the settlement of Črni Vrh, near the town of Idrija.

The village includes the hamlets of Cigale, Dolnje Lome (German: Unterlome), Gornje Lome (German: Oberlome), Grižar, Na Griču (German: Am Hügel), Na Ravni, Oblak, Podjesen, and Zakrog. The Javornik ski slope is located at Lome.

Potok (pronounced [ˈpɔːtɔk]) is a small settlement in the hills east of Idrija in the traditional Inner Carniola region. It include the hamlet of Mravljišče west of the main village center.

Žirovnica (pronounced [ʒiˈɾoːu̯nitsa]; German: Scheraunitz) is a small settlement in the valley of Žirovnica Creek, a tributary of the Poljane Sora River, south of Žiri in Slovenia. Although it is easily accessible by road only from the Žiri side, which is in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia, it actually lies in the Municipality of Idrija in the traditional Inner Carniola region.

Podklanec (pronounced [pɔtˈklaːnəts]; German: Podklanz) is a small settlement south of Žiri in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It lies at the end of a valley where Black Creek (Slovene: Črna) and Sovra Creek meet to become the Poljane Sora River (Slovene: Poljanska Sora).
