Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt (CFB Esquimalt) is Canada's Pacific Coast naval base and home port to Maritime Forces Pacific and Joint Task Force Pacific Headquarters. As of 2018, 4,411 military personnel and 2,762 civilians work at CFB Esquimalt.

Signal Hill is a hill in Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada, located on the south side of Constance Cove in CFB Esquimalt.

Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site, on Fisgard Island at the mouth of Esquimalt Harbour in Colwood, British Columbia, is the site of Fisgard Lighthouse, the first lighthouse on the west coast of Canada.Fisgard Lighthouse is about 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) by boat or 12.5 kilometres (7.8 miles) by car from downtown Victoria. Automated in 1929, the light shows a white isophase light of 2 second period in a sector from 322° to 195° at 21.6 metres (71 ft) above mean sea level, and in other directions it shows red shutters. The white 14.6-metre (48 ft) tower is floodlit below balcony level.

The Esquimalt station is located in Esquimalt, British Columbia. The station was a flag stop on Via Rail's Dayliner service, which has been indefinitely suspended since 2011. The station opened in 1886, and was the original terminus of the line until the extension to Victoria.

Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site is a 19th-century coastal artillery fort on the Colwood, British Columbia side of Esquimalt Harbour, (Greater Victoria/Victoria BC Metropolitan Area). The site is adjacent to Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site, the first lighthouse on the west coast of Canada. Both the fort and lighthouse are managed and presented to the public by Parks Canada.

The Esquimalt First Nation, also known as the Esquimalt Indian Band and Esquimalt Nation, is a First Nations band government of the Esquimalt people. Historically their village was located closer to Victoria proper, but today their main reserve is on the north shore of Esquimalt Harbour adjacent to the Town of View Royal. They are a member nation of the First Nations of South Island Tribal Council, and were signatories to the Douglas Treaties.

The Craigflower Manor and Craigflower Schoolhouse are National Historic Sites of Canada located in View Royal, British Columbia (the Manor) and Saanich (the Schoolhouse) near Victoria. The centerpiece of each historic site is a 19th-century building — a manor and schoolhouse commissioned by the Hudson's Bay Company to provide education and lodging for their employees. Built as part of the agricultural community Craigflower Farm, the buildings served as a focal point for the community into the modern era; they remain open to the public today as museums devoted to the colonial history of Victoria.The sites also have unique archaeological merit, encompassing three distinct periods, and types, of human habitation which span thousands of years. In addition, the existing structures have great historical and cultural value, remaining some of the best, and last, examples of their kind in Canada. These factors combine to make these two sites important National Historic Sites, and have been given government protection for the public trust.

Fleming Bay is located in Esquimalt, adjacent to the city of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Fleming Bay is one of entrances to Macaulay Point and Buxton Green.Fleming Bay has large rock cliffs that are popular with rock climbers.Fleming Bay is protected from the seas by a rock man-made Breakwater.At Fleming beach in Fleming Bay there is a well maintained boat ramp for trailerable boats with docks for queuing up, it is run by the Esquimalt Anglers Association.

The Township of Esquimalt is a municipality at the southern tip of Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada. It is bordered to the east by the provincial capital, Victoria, to the south by the Strait of Juan de Fuca, to the west by Esquimalt Harbour and Royal Roads, to the northwest by the New Songhees 1A Indian reserve and the town of View Royal, and to the north by a narrow inlet of water called the Gorge, across which is the district municipality of Saanich. It is almost tangential to Esquimalt 1 Indian Reserve near Admirals Road. It is one of the 13 municipalities of Greater Victoria and part of the Capital Regional District. Esquimalt had a population of 17,533 in 2021. It covers 7.08 km2 (2.73 sq mi). It is home to the Pacific fleet of the Royal Canadian Navy.

École Victor-Brodeur is a French first language K-12 school located in Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada. It is designed to accommodate 540 students from the Greater Victoria area and to serve as a community centre for the local francophone community. It was named for Royal Canadian Navy officer Victor Brodeur, who was one of the first "group of six" officer cadets accepted into the RCN and also one of the 3% of Quebec born officers to reach the rank of Rear Admiral. The school is operated by the Conseil Scolaire Francophone (CSF), the public school district that represents francophone students throughout the province. The school is the second-largest such school in B.C. and also operates a pre-school and a before- and after-school student care program. The school district has a partnership agreement with the municipality of Esquimalt to share the use of school and nearby municipal facilities, including the school's theatre, gym, basketball courts, field, and kitchen, as well as the public recreation centre, Archie Browning Arena, and Bullen Park.

École John Stubbs Memorial School is a K-8 school located in Belmont Park neighbourhood of Colwood, British Columbia, Canada, part of the Western Communities suburbs of Victoria. The school is part of School District 62 Sooke. The school's population currently stands at approximately 790 students, but is currently experiencing growth year-to-year.

The Q Centre (formerly Bear Mountain Arena) is in Colwood, British Columbia, Canada. In 2014, the arena was named "The Q Centre" after local radio station CKKQ-FM. The arena opened in February 2004, has 2,300 seats and houses year-round events for hockey and lacrosse. With an additional floor capacity of 860 people and standing room area for up to 480, this premier spectator facility can hold any type of event, from trade shows to major sporting and entertainment events. The arena is hockey home of the BCHL Victoria Grizzlies. It was the home of the Victoria Salmon Kings for the 2004–05 ECHL season while their future home, the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre was being built. In the summer months The Q serves as home to the WLA Victoria Shamrocks, Victoria Wolves of the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association and Westshore Bears of the Pacific Northwest Junior Lacrosse League. The venue has also hosted BCLA provincial box lacrosse championships. The venue has hosted one of the biggest World Curling Tour events, the Bear Mountain Arena Curling Classic, annually since 2006. It also played host to the training camps of the Vancouver Canucks in September 2007 and the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2008. The Q Centre was awarded an NHL pre-season game between the Vancouver Canucks vs San Jose Sharks. This occurred after the Panorama Recreation Centre, in North Saanich, home of the Peninsula Panthers won the 2015 Kraft Hockeyville Grand Prize.
