The Villa Schmitz is a historic mansion in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France. It was built from 1884 to 1887 for Victoire Schmitz. It was designed by architect Vincent Levrot. It has been listed as an official national monument since October 1, 2010.

The Nice Observatory (French: Observatoire de Nice) is an astronomical observatory located in Nice, France on the summit of Mount Gros. The observatory was founded in 1879, by the banker Raphaël Bischoffsheim. The architect was Charles Garnier, and Gustave Eiffel designed the main dome. In 1886 the largest refracting (i.e., with an objective lens rather than a mirror) telescope in the World made its debut at Nice Observatory, the Grand Lunette.

The IAE Nice (Institut d'Administration des Entreprises de Nice) is a business school in the South of France, part of Nice University. It delivers degrees in finance, audit, marketing, wealth management, public management and tourism management.

The Abbey of Saint Pons (French: Abbaye Saint-Pons de Nice) is one of the oldest monasteries on the French Riviera, along with Lérins Abbey. It is located in the municipality of Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes. The original abbey was constructed between 774 and 800 and entrusted to the Benedictines. However, in 890, it was destroyed by the Saracens during a failed attack on Nice. The church was rebuilt in 1724 in Baroque style. In 1860 it became the property of the French state and the monastery was dissolved. The building was then sold to the city of Nice for the sum of 60,000 francs. It was later transformed into an annex to the Hospital of Saint Roche. The church remained under sequestration until its transformation into Saint Pons parish. It was classified as a historical monument of national importance in 1913. The façades and roofs of the abbey and cloister were classified as being of regional importance in 1949.The abbey is now part of the Pasteur Hospital.

Nice-Riquier is a train station on the line from Marseille to Ventimiglia, situated in Nice, in the department of Alpes-Maritimes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. As of 2022, the station is served by regional trains (TER Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) to Cannes, Grasse, Ventimiglia and Nice.

The Canton of Villefranche-sur-Mer is a French former administrative division, located in the arrondissement of Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes département (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur région). It had 21,551 inhabitants (2012). It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. The communes of the canton joined the canton of Beausoleil.

The Villa La Leopolda is a large detached villa in Villefranche-sur-Mer, in the Alpes-Maritimes department on the French Riviera. The villa is situated in 7.3 hectares (18 acres) of grounds. The villa has had several notable owners including Gianni and Marella Agnelli, Izaak and Dorothy J. Killam, and, since 1987, by Edmond (1932–1999) and Lily Safra (1934–2022), who inherited the villa after her husband's death.
