Vierlingsbeek

Vierlingsbeek is a railway station located in Vierlingsbeek, Netherlands. It is situated on the Nijmegen–Venlo railway. The train services are operated by Arriva. The station building was demolished in 2004.

Aijen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈaːi.ə(n)]; Limburgish: Äöje [ˈœːjə]) is a hamlet in the municipality of Bergen in the province of Limburg, the Netherlands. The village was first mentioned in 1336 as Oyen, and means "land on a stream". Aijen was home to 257 people in 1840.Between 1533 until 1965, there was a pedestrian ferry across the Maas to Maashees. Aijen does not have a church, but has a chapel from the 16th or 17th century, and it was the religious building in the municipality of Bergen which survived undamaged.

Heukelom is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Bergen, about 2 km south of the village of Afferden.Heukelom is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Afferden. Heukelom has one monument, the St Antonius Chapel which dates from the 17th century.

Maashees en Overloon was a municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It included the villages of Maashees and Overloon. Maashees en Overloon existed until 1942, when it was merged into Vierlingsbeek.Since 2022 it has been part of the new municipality of Land van Cuijk.

Nieuw-Bergen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌniu ˈbɛrɣə(n)]; Limburgish: Ni-j-Berge [ˌnɪj ˈbæʀ(ə)ɣə]) is a town in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Bergen (L.) and lies about 28 km north of Venlo. Nieuw-Bergen was officially founded on 9 July 1963 as the new settlement.After the destruction of Bergen in 1944/1945, a new settlement was built further to the east. Construction started in 1955. In 1969, the town hall of the municipality was built in Nieuw Bergen. In 1975, a church was built. In 2015, a shopping mall was built with apartments and a distinct 25 metres (82 ft) tall tower to give the village a landmark.In 1988, two British Royal Air Force soldiers were killed in the town.

Bleijenbeek (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈblɛi.ə(m)beːk]) is a small hamlet in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Bergen, about 2 km east of Afferden. The main building in the hamlet is the ruin of Castle Bleijenbeek. According to the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa, the castle is known for the numerous sieges by the armies of Guelders and Spain. In 1580, the castle was besieged by the forces of Guelders, but it was defended bravely by the lord of the castle, Marten Schenk, when the Duke of Parma sent cavalry, the besieging army had to retreat. In 1589, Schenk had changed sides, and the castle was besieged by Marcus van Rije, the stadtholder of Guelders appointed by the Spanish king; this time, the castle was conquered.
