Leneve is an unincorporated community in Coos County, Oregon, United States. It lies along North Bank Road off Oregon Route 42 northeast of Coquille. Beaver Slough enters the Coquille River at Leneve.Named after a pioneer family, its post office operated from April 5, 1917, to May 31, 1934. Post office authorities considered but rejected Conlogue as the name of the office before settling on Leneve.

Beaver Hill is an unincorporated community in Coos County, Oregon, United States. It is about 12 miles (19 km) south of the city of Coos Bay, east of U.S. Route 101 and west of Oregon Route 42.Like nearby Coaledo, Beaver Hill was formerly a coal mining community. The Beaver Hill mine was opened in 1894 by the J. D. Spreckels Company and the town was later owned by Southern Pacific. By 1896, Beaver Hill was an important community in the area and on January 11, it incorporated as a city. In 1926, 15 of the city's 16 remaining voters chose to disincorporate. Today there is nothing left at the site.The community had a branch off the Coos Bay Line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, but it never had a post office by the name Beaver Hill. The post office at this locale was named Preuss; it ran from 1917 to 1924. It was named for a local teacher, Rosa Preuss. It is possible the name "Beaver Hill" for a post office would not have been approved because of the similarity to Beaverton and Beavercreek.

Riverton is an unincorporated community in Coos County, Oregon, United States, on Oregon Route 42S, about 12 miles (19 km) up the Coquille River from Bandon. Route 42S is the former alignment of U.S. Route 101.The townsite of Riverton was platted in 1889. Riverton post office was established in 1890 and named for its situation on the river. Orlando A. Kelly, the first postmaster, was also said to have been the first settler there.In 1915 Riverton had a population of 200. At that time Riverton shipped coal mined locally by steamboat to California. The first coal mine opened in the county in 1854 and up to a quarter of people worked in what was then the region's most important industry. Riverton served as a coal-mining center for more than 50 years. In 1940, Riverton's population was 150, and the place served as a trading center for farmers who grew peas. The post office closed in 1961. Formerly Riverton Ferry crossed the Coquille there and as of 1969, it was still being operated by the county. At one time the community had a high school and a grade school. Circa 1901, there was a Christian Church and today there is a Riverton Community Church unaffiliated with the former one. As of 2010 there are no stores in Riverton.

Randolph is an unincorporated community in Coos County, Oregon, United States, founded as a "black sand" gold mining boomtown in the 1850s. Although it is considered a ghost town because there are no significant structures left at the site, the USGS classifies Randolph as a populated place. It is on the north bank the Coquille River about 7 miles (11 km) north of Bandon and about 3 miles east of the Pacific Ocean.

Prosper is an unincorporated community in Coos County, Oregon, United States. It is about 3 miles (5 km) northwest of Bandon next to the Coquille River. There is no longer a town at the site.The first cannery on the Coquille River was started in about 1882 by D. H. Getchell in what came to be known as Prosper. Prosper was founded in the summer of 1892 by Adam Pershbaker, who built a sawmill and a shipyard there. The Emil Heuckendorff shipyard was established soon after. Prosper had a post office from 1893 until 1928; Pershbaker was the first postmaster. The name was likely chosen in the hope the locality would be prosperous. In 1915, Prosper's population was 500, and it had two salmon canneries, and two shingle and saw mills. Passenger boats traveled three times a day to Bandon and Coquille.

The Bullards Bridge (or simply Bullards Bridge) is a vertical-lift bridge that spans the Coquille River near where the river empties into the Pacific Ocean, just north of Bandon, Oregon, United States. One of only two vertical-lift bridges on the Oregon Coast Highway (U.S. Route 101), it was completed in 1954. The lift span is flanked by two camelback truss spans. It is located immediately east of Bullards Beach State Park. The bridge was built to replace Bullards Ferry, a ferry service whose slip was located about 80 feet (24 m) upstream from the bridge that replaced it. The name originates with the Bullard family, who were among the early settlers in the area. The Oregon Highway Commission awarded a contract for construction of the bridge and a 0.49-mile (0.79 km) new section of highway in October 1952. The completed bridge was dedicated on September 20, 1954.The overhead clearance for vehicles on the bridge deck originally was between 14 feet 10 inches (4.52 m) and 15 feet 2 inches (4.62 m), but after multiple instances of tall trucks striking the bridge, work was undertaken in 2006–07 to move certain cross pieces in order to increase the vertical clearance on the roadway by about 2 feet.Average daily traffic on the bridge was about 6,000 vehicles in 2004, but had grown to about 8,300 by 2007.In late 2009, the Oregon Department of Transportation was planning a $3.4 million rehabilitation of the Bullards Bridge for 2010–11. The bridge's draw span is very rarely opened now; as of 2009, it had not been raised for marine traffic in seven years, being operated only for annual test openings for maintenance.

Coquille Junior Senior High, formerly known as Coquille High School, is a public high school in Coquille, Oregon, United States.

Green Acres (or Greenacres) is an unincorporated community in Coos County, Oregon, United States, east of Oregon Route 42 between Coos Bay and Coquille. It is near the southernmost point of the Isthmus Slough of Coos Bay. The area that is now Green Acres was a 700-acre (2.8 km2) farm homesteaded by master shipbuilder John Kruse, a Danish immigrant, in the late 19th century. Kruse was best known for building the Western Shore, a three-masted wooden clipper ship that was one of the largest tall ships ever built on the West Coast of the United States. She set several speed records.Today the community has a Grange hall, a volunteer fire department, and a community church. The community formerly had a school in the Coos Bay School District that closed in 1985. Green Acres is also home to the Noble Creek Fish Hatchery.

Coquille Valley School is a public school in Coquille, Oregon, United States. Coquille Valley School is actually two separate schools housed in one building. Coquille Valley Intermediate School is more of an elementary model with students in grades 3-5 learning in a self-contained educational environment. Coquille Valley Middle School is a more traditional grade 6-8 middle school setting where students travel to 6 different classrooms for instruction.The school mascot is a wildcat.

Bullards Beach State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Oregon, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. The park was acquired between 1962 and 1985 by purchase from various owners, including the U. S. Bureau of Land Management. The Coquille River Lighthouse, built by the U. S. Coast Guard in 1896 and operated until 1939, sits at the confluence of the river and ocean. The Bullard family were early settlers in the Bandon area. Robert Bullard established a store and post office at the mouth of the Coquille River and operated a ferry, which crossed the river near the present bridge on U.S. 101.

St. James Episcopal Church (also known as St. James the Apostle Episcopal Church) is a historic church at 210 E. Third Street in Coquille, Oregon. The parish is a member of the Episcopal Church (United States), and part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.It was built in 1897 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.A search is underway to replace Father Timothy Hannon, who served the people of Coquille from July, 2018, to March, 2021.
