Miami Shores or Miami Shores Village is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The village is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 11,567, up from 10,493 in 2010.

The Grand Concourse Apartments is a historic site in Miami Shores, Florida built in 1926. It is located at 421 Grand Concourse. On December 2, 1985, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Robert L. Weed.

El Portal is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The name is derived from the Spanish term for "the gate", after two wooden gates that once stood as a gateway to the village. El Portal was originally annexed into the city of Miami in 1925. With the arrival of the Great Depression, Miami gave up its jurisdiction, and El Portal was incorporated as its own village in 1937. The village is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population of El Portal was 1,986, down from 2,325 in 2010.

The Boulevard Theater is a former movie theater located at 7770 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida. It is owned by theater and nightclub proprietor and former Broadway theater producer Leroy Griffith. The theater has variously served as a night club and adult movie theater. It is currently an adult entertainment club, Gold Rush Cabaret.

The Vagabond Motel is a historic motel located at 7301 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida that exhibits Miami Modern architecture. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in late 2014 after being nominated by the state. The building was constructed in 1953 and was designed by Robert Swartburg. After sitting vacant for years, the building was reopened in 2014 as a restaurant and hotel.Claims that the Vagabond Motel was once a hangout for Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack are false. The Biscayne Times debunked those rumors in 2012. In the 1950s and 1960s, celebrities frequented the long-gone Vagabonds' Club in downtown Miami, not the middle-class family motel on the Upper East Side.

It is the metropolitan see for the Ecclesiastical Province of Miami, which covers all of Florida. The Cathedral of Saint Mary is the mother church of the archdiocese. As of 2023, the archbishop of Miami is Thomas Wenski. The Archdiocese of Miami contains Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties in the U.S. state of Florida. The archdiocese celebrates mass in at least a dozen languages. It operates two schools for the disabled, 60 elementary/middle schools, 13 high schools, two universities, and two seminaries. The archdiocese operates Radio, print, and television media outlets.The archdiocese operates two hospitals, nine health care centers, three homes for the aged, and two cemeteries. The archdiocesan charities include homeless shelters, legal services for the poor, an HIV/AIDS ministry, and the Missionaries of Charity and Society of Saint Vincent de Paul ministries to the poor. Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami is a separate non-profit organization operated by the archdiocese.

WKAT (1450 AM, "Radio Vida") is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish-language Christian radio format, known as "Radio Vida." Licensed to Miami, Florida, the station is owned by Nelson Volatire, through licensee Radio Piment Book, Inc.WKAT broadcasts at 1,000 watts using a non-directional antenna. The transmitter is off NE 71st Street in Miami. Programming is also heard on FM translator W270CV at 101.9 MHz, with its tower on SE 2nd Street at Biscayne Boulevard.

The Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine is one of the nine podiatric medical schools in the United States. It is located in Miami Shores, Florida. The school was founded in 1985 as the first podiatric medical college to be part of a university. It is one of several schools of Barry University. Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine has graduated more than 1000 podiatric physicians since its inception in 1985. The Center for Community Health and Minority Medicine, the first of several medical sciences facilities for the Doctor in Podiatry and Physician Assistant Master students, began construction in 2007. A short walk west from the main campus, it is currently the new location of Barry University's School of Podiatric medicine. The school has affiliations with such Miami hospitals as: Mount Sinai Medical Center & Miami Heart Institute, Mercy Hospital, DVA Miami, North Shore Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital. The Dean of the school is Bryan Caldwell, DPM, MD.
