The Archdiocese of Miami (Latin: Archidioecesis Miamiensis, Spanish: Arquidiócesis de Miami, Haitian Creole: Achidyosèz Miami) is a Latin Church archdiocese of the Catholic Church in South Florida in the United States. It is the metropolitan see for the Ecclesiastical Province of Miami, which covers all of Florida. The Cathedral of Saint Mary is the mother church of the archdiocese. As of 2023, the archbishop of Miami is Thomas Wenski. The Archdiocese of Miami contains Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties in the U.S. state of Florida. The archdiocese celebrates mass in at least a dozen languages. It operates two schools for the disabled, 60 elementary/middle schools, 13 high schools, two universities, and two seminaries. The archdiocese operates Radio, print, and television media outlets.The archdiocese operates two hospitals, nine health care centers, three homes for the aged, and two cemeteries. The archdiocesan charities include homeless shelters, legal services for the poor, an HIV/AIDS ministry, and the Missionaries of Charity and Society of Saint Vincent de Paul ministries to the poor. Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami is a separate non-profit organization operated by the archdiocese.

El Portal is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The name is derived from the Spanish term for "the gate", after two wooden gates that once stood as a gateway to the village. El Portal was originally annexed into the city of Miami in 1925. With the arrival of the Great Depression, Miami gave up its jurisdiction, and El Portal was incorporated as its own village in 1937. The village is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population of El Portal was 1,986, down from 2,325 in 2010.

The cathedral is named for Mary, mother of Jesus, and is located at 7525 N.W. 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida, United States. Since June 2010, Archbishop Thomas Gerard Wenski has served as the archbishop of Miami, Rev. Christopher Marino is the cathedral's rector.

Jumbo's was a restaurant in Miami's Liberty City neighborhood, in the U.S. state of Florida. The restaurant was named one of America's Classics by the James Beard Foundation in 2008. Jumbo's was opened in the late 1960's. Jumbo's was one of the first white-owned restaurants in Miami to employ and serve Black people. It closed after nearly 60 years in business during July 2014.

North Shore Medical Center (Miami) is a teaching hospital and a comprehensive stroke center in Miami, Florida. The hospital has more than 400 medical staff and over 700 employees. The hospital serves over 80,000 patients annually. North Shore Medical Center is Florida's first Joint Commission (JCAHO)-accredited chest pain center as well as the first thrombectomy-capable stroke center in Miami Dade. The hospital is also fully accredited by the JCAHO, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.

WKAT (1450 AM, "Radio Vida") is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish-language Christian radio format, known as "Radio Vida." Licensed to Miami, Florida, the station is owned by Nelson Volatire, through licensee Radio Piment Book, Inc.WKAT broadcasts at 1,000 watts using a non-directional antenna. The transmitter is off NE 71st Street in Miami. Programming is also heard on FM translator W270CV at 101.9 MHz, with its tower on SE 2nd Street at Biscayne Boulevard.

The Boulevard Theater is a former movie theater located at 7770 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida. It is owned by theater and nightclub proprietor and former Broadway theater producer Leroy Griffith. The theater has variously served as a night club and adult movie theater. It is currently an adult entertainment club, Gold Rush Cabaret.

Edison Courts is a Miami-Dade 345-unit public housing apartment complex just west of the Little Haiti (Lemon City) neighborhood of Miami, Florida. Edison Courts is bounded to the south by North 62nd Street/Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, by North 67th Street to the north, by West Second Avenue to the east, and by West Fourth Avenue to the west. During the Great Depression, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) hired many local architects, contractors and workers to construct public works projects in Miami. The 345-unit low rent housing project Edison Courts, completed in 1941 and designed by the firm of Paist and Stewart with associate architects Robert Law Weed, Vladimir Virrick and E.L. Robertson, provided public housing for white people. It was similar in scale and design to the Liberty Square project, opened in 1937 and designed by the same firm. Both projects were integrated in the 1960s. Edison Courts has maintained most of its historic ambience and is a wonderful example of WPA craftsmanship and design. Notable Miami native and rapper Frantz Fatal mentions Edison Courts in many songs. He is from Lemon City and calls Edison Courts home.Edison Courts is notable as the first low-rent housing project to have free hot water provided by solar water heaters. Each dwelling unit was to have on its roof a shallow glass-covered box with copper pipes running through it. The sun's rays would heat the water in the pipes to 180 °F (82 °C), after which it would be stored in an insulated tank for bathing and clothes washing.

The Grand Concourse Apartments is a historic site in Miami Shores, Florida built in 1926. It is located at 421 Grand Concourse. On December 2, 1985, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Robert L. Weed.
