Kista metro station

Kista Torn (in English, Kista Towers) is a pair of 19- and 40-storey apartment buildings, connected at their base. The towers are situated on Borgarfjordsgatan in the Kista district of Stockholm, Sweden. The highest tower ("K1") stands at 117.9 m (387 ft) tall, which made it the tallest residential skyscraper in Stockholm on its completion in 2015. This feat is set to be matched by Norra Tornen in Hagastaden, upon completion of that project.The complex was designed by Brunnberg & Forshed Arkitektkontor AB, and is situated 200 m (660 ft) from Kista Centrum bus station and Kista metro station, alongside Kista Galleria shopping mall.

Rinkeby-Kista is a borough (stadsdelsområde) in Stockholm, Sweden. The borough is located in Västerort.

Kista (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɕǐːsta]) is a district in the borough of Rinkeby-Kista, Stockholm, Sweden. It has a strategic position located in between Sweden's main airport, the Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport and central Stockholm, and alongside the main national highway E4 economic artery. Kista comprises residential and commercial areas, the latter in the highly technological telecommunication and information technology industry. There are large research efforts in this entire area, which therefore is dubbed Kista Science City. It is the research park of KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Kista is the largest Information and Communications Technology (ICT) cluster in Europe, and the world's second largest cluster after Silicon Valley in California. It is the largest corporate area in Sweden, important to the national economy due to the presence of, among others, Ericsson Group, the largest corporation in Sweden. Kista Science City is the location where a large portion of the research and development of the world's 4G LTE mobile telephony infrastructure is being developed, a European ETSI standard used worldwide and Kista Science City has been the largest such cluster in Europe for decades. A majority is done at Ericsson corporation, with 100,000 employees worldwide, but with its research and worldwide headquarters in the Kista Science City. Kista was named after an old farm "Kista Gård", still located in the area. The construction of the modern parts were started in the 1970s. Most of the streets in Kista are named after towns and places in Denmark, Iceland, Greenland, and Faroe Islands. Before the opening of the Mall of Scandinavia, Kista Galleria was the biggest shopping center in the Stockholm region. Because of its ICT industries, it became in the 1980s referred to as "Chipsta" and, after Sweden joined the EU in 1995, also as Europe's "Silicon Valley".

Kista Galleria is a shopping mall located in the Kista Science City in Stockholm, Sweden. It has 185 stores, including a multiplex, bowling alley, karting track and restaurants. Known for its generous opening hours (9 AM to 9 PM), it has been the most visited mall in Stockholm with approximately 18 million customers annually, and the third largest in terms of sales. The mall, which opened in 1977, has expanded and been redesigned several times; most recently in 2002 and again in 2009, increasing the retail area to 62,000 m2 (670,000 sq ft), with a total gross leasable area of 90,000 m2 (970,000 sq ft).The shopping mall has 2,500 parking spaces and is situated between two major motorways, E18 and E4. Public transport is close, with entrances in the west leading directly to the Kista metro station. A light rail line is planned to be built in 2016.From 2014, it has also been hosting the Kista bibliotek, the City of Stockholm Public Library - Kista Branch, which has been named as "Public library of the year 2015" by International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).The mall is currently managed by Kista Galleria KB, which is co-owned by Finnish real estate company Citycon and Canadian CPP Investment Board.Compared to other malls in the City of Stockholm Kista Galleria is the biggest shopping mall in the City of Stockholm with 185 stores and restaurants while for instance Gallerian at Norrmalm has 83.

Kista Science Tower is a 32-story, 124 m (407 ft) skyscraper in Kista, Stockholm, Sweden. With its roof-top antenna, its height is 156 m (512 ft), making it one of the tallest buildings in the country, just right in between Turning Torso and Scandic Victoria Tower. The black cube on top of the roof is, contrary to some rumors, not meant to be the start of more floors; it is the top of the elevator shaft and space for the electronics for the antenna. The tower was originally meant to have a few additional floors but they were canceled due to the financial crisis of the early 2000s, however the already built elevator shaft was not shortened and the distinctive concrete block at the top remains. The tower has 33 floors in total, three of which are below the main entrance level consisting mainly of parking spaces. Kista Science Tower was completed in 2003. It was the tallest skyscraper in Sweden at the time but was soon surpassed by Turning Torso, built in Malmö in 2005. It is still the tallest office building in Scandinavia. The building is home to the fastest elevators in Sweden. They reach speeds of 5 to 6 metres per second (16 to 20 ft/s). The building houses several technology and IT companies. It is located next to Kista Galleria, a large shopping complex, and the Kista metro station.

RISE SICS (previously Swedish Institute of Computer Science) is a leading research institute for applied information and communication technology in Sweden, founded in 1985. It explores the digitalization of products, services and businesses. In January 2005, SICS had about 88 employees, of which 77 were researchers, 30 with PhD degrees. As of April 2016, SICS had about 200 employees, of which 160 were researchers, 83 with PhD degrees. The institute is headquartered in the Kista district of Stockholm, with the main office in the Electrum building.

The Scandic Victoria Tower is a skyscraper hotel in the Kista district of Stockholm, Sweden. It is also known as the Victoria Tower, however the Scandic name is used to distinguish it from the Victoria Tower that forms the southwest end of the Palace of Westminster. The 117 metre hotel is one of the tallest buildings in Stockholm, as well as the tallest hotel in Scandinavia. It is named after Crown Princess Victoria, the heir apparent to the Swedish throne.

Husby is a district (Swedish: stadsdel) in Rinkeby-Kista borough, Stockholm, Sweden. Husby has 11,551 inhabitants as of December 31, 2007.Husby is located on the blue Metro line. The main construction of modern Husby, with its multi-level concrete apartment buildings, started in 1972 as part of the Million Programme. The subway station was opened in 1977 and the train takes approx. 20 minutes to Stockholm City. The name of the suburb was taken from a former royal farm, still located in the area. The streets of Husby are named after cities in Norway. There are many runestones in the surroundings of Husby, remnants from when Vikings used to live here. Husby has the lowest income per capita of any district of Stockholm. In 2014, more than 80% of the population had minority background, mostly from Middle East and Africa.In its December 2015 report, Police in Sweden placed the district in the most severe category of urban areas with high crime rates.On 30 December 2016, shopkeepers decided to close their businesses from 1300 onwards due to the high number of robberies and burglaries targeting them.In 2017, local authorities decided to hire security guards to help the businesses, but no private security company wanted to take on the job.

Husby is a station on the blue line of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Husby, northern Stockholm. The station was inaugurated on 5 June 1977 as part of the extension from Hallonbergen to Akalla. The distance to Kungsträdgården is 15 km (9.3 mi).

Rinkeby was a borough (stadsdelsområde) in Stockholm, Sweden until 1 January 2007, practically identical to the district of Rinkeby. In 2007, Rinkeby merged with the borough of Kista to form the Rinkeby-Kista borough.

Rinkeby metro station is a station on the blue line of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Rinkeby. The station was opened on 31 August 1975 as part the first stretch of the Blue Line between T-Centralen and Hjulsta. The trains were running to Hallonbergen and then to Rinkeby via a track which is currently used for the rail yard access. The distance to Kungsträdgården is 12.3 km (7.6 mi).

Rinkeby is noted for its high concentration of immigrants and people with immigrant ancestry. 89.1% of the suburb's population had a first- or second-generation immigrant background as of 2007.A sociolect called Rinkeby Swedish has been named after Rinkeby. This is also said to be used all over the suburbs in Stockholm and across Sweden.The district was a part of the Rinkeby borough until 1 January 2007, when it was merged with Kista borough to form the Rinkeby-Kista borough. In the years preceding 2008, the state Social Insurance Agency, state Public Employment Service, banks and postal services vacated their offices in the area.In 2010, the official figures stated 15,000 people lived in the area, but officials admitted 17,000 were more likely though uncertainties meant the figure could be higher still. Of those, 90% had a migration background and 37.6% were from Africa. With the area being home to a large number of immigrants, many from Somalia, the area is sometimes called 'Little Mogadishu'.In its December 2014 report, Swedish Police placed it as most severe category of urban areas with high crime rates.
