The Somon Palace (Tajik: Кохи Сомон), also known as the Palace of the Samanids is a building in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It is named after named after the Samanid Empire of the 9th-11th centuries. The palace is used for is a place of high-level meetings of the state. It also serves as the residence of the Government of Tajikistan.

Rudaki Avenue (Tajik: хиёбони Рӯдакӣ, Russian: проспект Рудаки) is the main thoroughfare street in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. The street is named after Rudaki, the Tajik national poet. The street was known as Lenin Avenue during the Soviet period, and used to host a statue of Vladimir Lenin. The street received its current name in the summer of 1992.Key administrative buildings and cultural institutions are located on the street.

The zoo is located in the center of the city on the Luchob river bank (on Ismoili Somoni Avenue), next to the Pamir Stadium, and measures roughly twice the size of the stadium.

It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium currently holds 20,000. It is currently the home ground of the Tajikistan national football team, Istiqlol Dushanbe and CSKA Pamir Dushanbe. It also hosted Afghanistan national football team matches during 2022 World Cup qualification. It is located next to Dushanbe Zoo.

The Dushanbe Flagpole (Russian: Площадь государственного флага; Tajik: Боғи парчами Тоҷикистон, romanized: Boghi parchami Tojikiston) is a free–standing flagpole located in front of the Palace of Nations in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. At 165 metres (541 feet), it was the tallest flagpole in the world from its completion in 2011 until the 2014 erection of the 171 m (561 ft) Jeddah Flagpole. It is now the fourth tallest flagpole in the world. It flies a 30 m × 60 m (98 ft × 197 ft) Flag of Tajikistan weighing 700 kilograms (1,540 pounds).

The Gurminj Museum of Musical Instruments (Russian: Музей музыкальных инструментов имени Гурминджа Завкибекова; Tajik: Осорхонаи асбобҳои мусиқии ба номи Гурминҷ Завқибеков) ( or Gurminj Museum (Russian: Музей Гурминджа)) is a museum located in the center of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, behind the Office of the Mayor on Bokhtar Street.
