Agronomia (meaning Agronomy in Portuguese) is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It was created by Law 4166 from September 21, 1976, but had its limits modified in 1990 and 1997. The neighborhood borders the municipality of Viamão as well as the Porto Alegre neighborhoods of Partenon and Jardim Carvalho.

Passo do Sabão (English: Soap Dale or Soap Pass) is a Brazilian district within the municipality of Viamão, in Rio Grande do Sul. It belongs to the group of three districts predominantly urban, with Viamão and Viamópolis. Passo do Sabão is also a district with a large population, with about 41% of the inhabitants of the municipality.

Lomba do Pinheiro (meaning Pine Tree Hill in English) is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 7954 from January 8, 1997. Lomba do Pinheiro is not part of the rural zone in Porto Alegre.

It was created by Law 6720 from November 21, 1990. The Independência Hospital, linked to the Universidade Luterana do Brasil, is located in the neighbourhood.

Mário Quintana is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. Created by Law 8258 from December 22, 1998, it was named in honour of poet Mário Quintana, who had died four years before. The occupation of Mario Quintana dates from 1896, but there were few dwellers until the 1960s, when the City Hall started to transfer masses of poor people from shantytowns in Porto Alegre to this neighbourhood. In the 1980s, authorities begun to finance some infrastructure and housing projects. In 1991, the Chico Mendes Park was created. Today, the economic inequality among the population in Mario Quintana is quite conspicuous, as we can find slums next to gated communities.

MultiRS (channel 48) is a Brazilian university television station based in Canoas, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, which operates on virtual channel 48.1, granted to the capital Porto Alegre, relaying TV Cultura. Maintained by the Lutheran University of Brazil (Ulbra), it was opened in 2004 under the name Ulbra TV, broadcasting programming aimed at young audiences in partnership with STV, having quickly adopted a more generalist and educational schedule. Its studios are in the Ulbratech technology park building, on the university campus in Canoas, and its transmitting antenna is at the top of Morro da Police, in Porto Alegre.

Jardim do Salso (meaning Willow Garden in Portuguese) is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 6594 from January 31, 1990. Basically Jardim do Salso is a residential neighbourhood.

The Porto Alegre Brazil Temple is the 102nd operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The Porto Alegre Temple overlooks the city from the east toward a large river and port for which the city is named. It has an exterior of white granite and a single spire topped with a statue of the angel Moroni. The temple has a total of 10,700 square feet (990 m2), two ordinance rooms, and two sealing rooms.

Chácara das Pedras (literally Farmstead of the Stones in English) is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 2022 from December 7, 1959. Chácara das Pedras was occupied for the first time during the end of the 19th century, but the population remained low until the 1950s, when it became a residential area. With the establishment of the Iguatemi shopping, the area increased its value, and now most of its buildings are upper and upper middle class houses. Moreover, there are many squares in this neighbourhood, and its streets are relatively quiet, aside from Nilo Peçanha Avenue.

Belém Velho (meaning Old Bethlehem in Portuguese) is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 4876 from December 24, 1980.
