Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian church in Dunbar, Pennsylvania. One of the first Presbyterian churches west of the Allegheny Mountains, it was founded in 1772 along with its sister Churches Tyrone, Middle, Sewickley, and United Presbyterian Churches. The original church was a simple log structure and was built by Scotch-Irish immigrants. As the congregation grew, the church was rebuilt in 1782, 1852, and most recently, 1898.The church is within the Presbytery of Redstone, a Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.

Joseph A. Hardy Connellsville Airport (ICAO: KVVS, FAA LID: VVSformerly 2G3) is a public-use airport located four nautical miles (7 km) southwest of Connellsville in Dunbar Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is owned by the Fayette County Airport Authority and serves the south-eastern segment of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The airport serves the general aviation community with no scheduled commercial airline service. The airport is named for Joseph A. Hardy, founder of 84 Lumber. Previously known as "Connellsville Airport," it was renamed in 2007 to recognize Hardy's support of improving the airport. Hardy, a Fayette County Commissioner at the time of the donation, gave the airport authority $800,000 for runway improvements.This airport is assigned a three-letter location identifier of VVS by the Federal Aviation Administration, but it does not have an International Air Transport Association (IATA) airport code.The airport property is home to other Fayette County entities and businesses: Fayette County Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Response Team. Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation (FACT). FACT is the main public bus service line for all of Fayette County with trips throughout the county each day. It occupies approximately 4.5 acres of property at the main entrance to the airport. The Isaac Meason House, also known as Mount Braddock, is a historic house located in Dunbar Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Completed in 1802, it is one of only two surviving Palladian style stone mansions from the period in the United States. Isaac Meason, for whom it was built, was an American Revolutionary War hero and early political power broker in the area, becoming the richest person in Fayette County due to his interest in iron furnaces. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1990 for its architecture.

The Connellsville train wreck was a rail accident that occurred on December 23, 1903, on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad near Connellsville, Pennsylvania. The Duquesne Limited, a passenger train, derailed when it struck a load of timber lying on the tracks. The timber had fallen from a freight train minutes before the collision. The crash resulted in 64 deaths and 68 injuries.

Connellsville Union Passenger Depot, also known as the Connellsville Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Station, is a historic railway station located at Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. It was built between 1911 and 1912 by the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad and Western Maryland Railway. It is a 1 1/2-story, rectangular brick building measuring 109 feet by 28 feet. It features a three-story tower, wide overhanging eaves, and hipped roofs on the building and tower covered in blue-green Spanish terra cotta tiles. It is in an American Craftsman style of architecture. It ceased use as a passenger station in 1939, after which it housed a car dealership and auto parts store. It was purchased by the Youghiogheny Opalescent Glass Company in the spring of 1995.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
