The Ministry of Employment (Swedish: Arbetsmarknadsdepartementet) is a ministry in the Swedish government responsible for labour market, labour law and the work environment. The Ministry is also responsible for the work of advancing gender equality and human rights at national level. Moreover, the Ministry is responsible for efforts to increase integration, combat segregation, racism and discrimination, and strengthen the rights of children and LGBT people. The Swedish Ministry of Employment has two ministers as of November 2021. The Minister for Employment and Gender Equality, Eva Nordmark, is head of the Ministry. Johan Danielsson is Minister for Housing and Deputy Minister for Employment.[1] The ministers also have political advisers on staff who assist them in policy work, providing background material, political assessments, planning and coordination, and media contacts. The Ministry has an Office of the Director-General for Administrative Affairs, two secretariats and six divisions, which are led by non-politically appointed officials.[2]

Centralpalatset is a building at Norrmalm in central Stockholm at the Tegelbacken street. The architect for the building was Ernst Stenhammar and the house was built in 1896 throughout to 1998. Today Centralpalatsen is the housing Miljödepartementet and at the bottom floor lies the Japanese restaurant Seikoen.

The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs (Swedish: Socialdepartementet) is the ministry in the government of Sweden responsible for policies related to social welfare: financial security, social services, medical and health care, health promotion and the rights of children and disabled people. The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs employs approximately 200 members of staff. About 20 of these are political appointees and 180 non-politically appointed officials. The ministry is headed by the "Minister for Health and Social Affairs", Lena Hallengren (S). The other minister who serve at the Ministry is the Minister for Social Security, Ardalan Shekarabi (S). The ministry offices are located at Fredsgatan 8 in central Stockholm.

The Ministry of Integration and Gender Equality (Swedish: Integrations- och jämställdhetsdepartementet) was a ministry of the Government Offices of Sweden. Its areas of responsibility included consumer affairs, democracy issues, gender equality, human rights, integration issues, metropolitan affairs, minority issues, non-governmental organizations and youth policy. The only minister to head the ministry was Nyamko Sabuni who served as Minister for Gender Equality and as Minister for Integration. She was careful to publicly point out that she is an equalist and not a feminist, not having any group based on gender, race, age, religion or other typical discrimination ground as focus and angle above others in her equality work. In Swedish the role (Jämställdhetsminister) is more exactly translated into called Equality Minister. The ministry offices were located at Fredsgatan 8 in central Stockholm. The ministry was dissolved following the 2010 general election with gender equality moving to the Ministry of Education and Research and integration moving to the Ministry of Employment.

Vasabron (Swedish: "The Vasa Bridge") is a bridge over Norrström in central Stockholm, Sweden connecting Norrmalm to Gamla stan, the old city. The bridge is, unintelligibly, named after King Gustav Vasa (1496–1560), perhaps because of the vicinity to the statue of the king in front of the House of Knights. From Vasabron a much smaller bridge, Strömsborgsbron, connects to the islet Strömsborg. Nearby bridges include Riksbron, Stallbron, Norrbro, Centralbron, and Strömbron.

Rosenbad (Swedish: [ˈrûːsɛnˌbɑːd], lit. "rosen bath") is a building in central Stockholm, precinct of Norrmalm. It is a building owned by the Swedish State and serves as the seat of the Government. Rosenbad is located on Strömgatan on the north side of the river Norrström. It was designed by Art Nouveau architect Ferdinand Boberg, and completed in 1902. It originally housed a variety of functions, including a restaurant (until 1956) of the same name.

Strömsborgsbron (Swedish: "Bridge of Strömsborg") is a three-way bridge in Gamla stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden. It connects the islet Strömsborg to the bridge Vasabron. The present bridge is from 1992–1993.

The Ministry of Finance (Swedish: Finansdepartementet) is a Swedish government ministry responsible for matters relating to economic policy, the central government budget, taxes, banking, security and insurance, international economic work, central, regional and local government. The ministry has a staff of 490, of whom only 20 are political appointees. The political executive is made up of three ministers: the Minister for Finance – currently Mikael Damberg (s), the Minister for Financial Markets – currently Max Elger (s) and the Minister for Public Administration – currently Ida Karkiainen (s).The ministry offices are located at Drottninggatan 21 in central Stockholm.

The Ministry of Education and Research (Swedish: Utbildningsdepartementet) is a government ministry in Sweden responsible for matters relating to schools, universities, colleges, and research. Before 1968, the ministry was called the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs. The ministry offices are located at Drottninggatan 16 in central Stockholm.

The Ministry of Culture (Swedish: Kulturdepartementet) is a ministry within the government of Sweden responsible for culture policy. The ministry is headed by the Minister for Culture, currently Jeanette Gustafsdotter (s). The Ministry of Culture is located at Drottninggatan 16 in central Stockholm.

Strömsborg (Swedish for '"Stream's castle"') is a small islet in central Stockholm, Sweden, located north of Stadsholmen, and west of Helgeandsholmen, between the bridges Centralbron, a motorway passing through central Stockholm, and Vasabron. Strömsborg is part of Gamla stan, the old town of Stockholm and is connected to the rest of the world by the bridge Strömsborgsbron leading over to Vasabron.

Riddarhuskajen (Swedish: "Quay of the House of Knights") is a quay in Gamla stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden. Located north of both the square Riddarhustorget and the House of Knights, it stretches east from the north-western corner of the island Stadsholmen to the bridge Vasabron and the alley Riddarhusgränd. Just west of the quay passes the motorway Centralbron, while the quay Kanslikajen forms an eastward extension leading past Kanslihuset to Stallbron and Mynttorget. The two wings of the House of Knights were completed in 1870 to the design of A W Edelsvärd (1824–1919), otherwise mostly remembered for his standard design of Swedish railway stations. The gardens of the building as completed are but a pale reminiscence of the original intentions which reflects the decline of power of the Swedish nobility, and still, the present state of things hardly give any indications of the character of the place in the early-19th century — a row of hovels in stone and wood lined up along the present quay hid the heap of rubbish where the statue of Axel Oxenstierna is found today, while a harbour surrounded by a wooden paling extended the premises into the water.The current name of the quay was proposed in 1921 and made official in 1925.
