Strömsborg

Strömsborgsbron (Swedish: "Bridge of Strömsborg") is a three-way bridge in Gamla stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden. It connects the islet Strömsborg to the bridge Vasabron. The present bridge is from 1992–1993.

The Norstedt Building (Swedish: Norstedtshuset) is the main office of P.A. Norstedt & Söner AB on Riddarholmen in Stockholm, Sweden. Designed by Magnus Isæus the building was built in 1882–1891, and features a spire-like roof, which is a well-known silhouette on the skyline of central Stockholm. The Vasabron Bridge passes in front of the building and Gamla Riksarkivet ("Old National Archive") lies south of it.

Strömbadet (or Stockholms Bad-och Siminrättning i Norrström) was the first large cold bathhouse in Stockholm, located in Norrström, just north of Riddarholmen. It was opened in 1884 and was made entirely of wood in neo-renaissance style. For the design was the architect brothers Axel Kumlien and Hjalmar Kumlien.

Birger Jarls torn (Swedish for Birger Jarl's Tower) is a defensive tower on the northwest corner of Riddarholmen, an islet in Gamla Stan, the old town of Stockholm. The building has been named for Birger Jarl who traditionally is attributed as the founder of Stockholm, but it was built several hundred years later and the name is mostly the product of a 17th-century myth. Stockholm literally translates to "Log-Islet", and according to that myth the city was founded where a log drifting ashore from Lake Mälar.

Centralpalatset is a building at Norrmalm in central Stockholm at the Tegelbacken street. The architect for the building was Ernst Stenhammar and the house was built in 1896 throughout to 1998. Today Centralpalatsen is the housing Miljödepartementet and at the bottom floor lies the Japanese restaurant Seikoen.

Vasabron (Swedish: "The Vasa Bridge") is a bridge over Norrström in central Stockholm, Sweden connecting Norrmalm to Gamla stan, the old city. The bridge is, unintelligibly, named after King Gustav Vasa (1496–1560), perhaps because of the vicinity to the statue of the king in front of the House of Knights. From Vasabron a much smaller bridge, Strömsborgsbron, connects to the islet Strömsborg. Nearby bridges include Riksbron, Stallbron, Norrbro, Centralbron, and Strömbron.

Gamla Riksarkivet (Old National Archives) is a building at Arkivgatan 3 on Riddarholmen in Stockholm, Sweden. Riksarkivet, the Swedish National Archives, were located in the building until 1968. The 19th century Brick Romanesque architecture of the building is alluding to the medieval history of Riddarholmen. The plan of the building is, however, typical for public buildings of its era, the grand style central portion clearly articulated in the façade together with the huge windows of the reading-room. The building is connected to the Stenbock Palace where the archive was once started in 1863. It is also similar in style to the Norstedt Building located just north of it.

Tegelbacken is a junction at Norrmalm in Central Stockholm and the name of several streets that contains the junction. At Tegelbacken the traffic are connected to the Centralbron, Vasabron, Nynäsvägen and Gamla stan.

Wrangel Palace (Swedish: Wrangelska palatset) is a townhouse mansion on Riddarholmen islet in Gamla Stan, the old town of Stockholm, in Sweden.

The Svea Court of Appeal (Swedish: Svea hovrätt), located in Stockholm, is one of six appellate courts in the Swedish legal system. It is located in the Wrangel Palace, on Riddarholmen islet in Gamla Stan, the old town of Stockholm.

Riddarholmen (Swedish: [ˈrɪ̂dːarˌhɔlːmɛn], "The Knights' Islet") is a small islet in central Stockholm, Sweden. The island forms part of Gamla Stan, the old town, and houses a number of private palaces dating back to the 17th century. The main landmark is the church Riddarholmskyrkan, used as Sweden's royal burial church from the 17th century to 1950, and where a number of earlier Swedish monarchs also lie buried. The western end of the island gives a magnificent panoramic and photogenic view of the bay Riddarfjärden, often used by TV journalists with Stockholm City Hall in the background. A statue of Birger Jarl, traditionally considered the founder of Stockholm, stands on a pillar in front of the Bonde Palace, north of Riddarholm Church. Other notable buildings include the Old Parliament Building in the south-eastern corner, the Old National Archive on the eastern shore, and the Norstedt Building, the old printing house of the publisher Norstedts, the tower roof of which is a well-known silhouette on the city's skyline.

Riddarhuskajen (Swedish: "Quay of the House of Knights") is a quay in Gamla stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden. Located north of both the square Riddarhustorget and the House of Knights, it stretches east from the north-western corner of the island Stadsholmen to the bridge Vasabron and the alley Riddarhusgränd. Just west of the quay passes the motorway Centralbron, while the quay Kanslikajen forms an eastward extension leading past Kanslihuset to Stallbron and Mynttorget. The two wings of the House of Knights were completed in 1870 to the design of A W Edelsvärd (1824–1919), otherwise mostly remembered for his standard design of Swedish railway stations. The gardens of the building as completed are but a pale reminiscence of the original intentions which reflects the decline of power of the Swedish nobility, and still, the present state of things hardly give any indications of the character of the place in the early-19th century — a row of hovels in stone and wood lined up along the present quay hid the heap of rubbish where the statue of Axel Oxenstierna is found today, while a harbour surrounded by a wooden paling extended the premises into the water.The current name of the quay was proposed in 1921 and made official in 1925.
