Curtner is a neighborhood of Fremont in Alameda County, California. It lies at an elevation of 30 feet (9 m). It was formerly an unincorporated community.

Oorja Fuel Cells (Oorja Protonics Inc) is an energy company that designs, manufactures and commercializes direct methanol fuel cells for application in the logistics, automotive, distributed generation (micro-grid), and telecommunication industries. Oorja develops direct methanol fuel cells ranging in power from 0.5 to 100 kilowatts. Oorja is considered one of the four major players in the North American Fuel Cell Market.

New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) was an American automobile manufacturing company in Fremont, California, jointly owned by General Motors and Toyota that opened in 1984 and closed in 2010. After the plant was closed by its owners, the facility was sold to Tesla, Inc. and reopened as a 100% Tesla-owned production facility in October 2010, becoming known as the Tesla Factory.The plant is located in the East Industrial area of Fremont next to the Mud Slough between Interstate 880 and Interstate 680. NUMMI yearly production peaked at 428,633 vehicles in 2006.

The Tesla Fremont Factory is an automobile manufacturing plant in Fremont, California, operated by Tesla, Inc. The facility opened as General Motors' Fremont Assembly in 1962, and was later operated by NUMMI, a GM–Toyota joint venture. Tesla took ownership in 2010. The plant currently manufactures the Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y, employing 22,000 people as of August 2022.

Fremont Assembly was a General Motors automobile factory in Fremont, California in the San Francisco area, replacing the older Oakland Assembly. Groundbreaking for the plant occurred in September 1961, and the plant produced its first vehicle on May 1, 1963. Production continued through March 1, 1982, when the plant was closed after production problems. After closure, the plant was refurbished and reopened as the more successful NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc.) joint-venture between GM and Toyota between 1984 and 2010, and later became the Tesla Factory in 2010.

The Newby Island Landfill (NISL) is one of the largest active landfills on the shores of the San Francisco Bay. It is located in Santa Clara County, California in the United States. The site is located within the city limits of San Jose, California at the western terminus of Dixon Landing Road. The address is 1601 Dixon Landing Road, Milpitas. Although the address and public street access to the site are both in the City of Milpitas, the landfill property is entirely within the City of San Jose. Newby Island Landfill has a length of 5.07 km (3.15 mi). It is located West of the City of Milpitas near Dixon Landing Road and Interstate 880. It is the terminus for waste for all of San Jose (62%), Santa Clara (14%), Milpitas (10%), Cupertino (5%), Los Altos (2%) and other cities (7%). The 342-acre (138.4 ha) pile is currently permitted to operate until 2041 and may extend up to 245 feet. The landfill is an island surrounded by a levee which keeps its runoff from directly entering the bay, and the water that drains from it is treated in the landfill's own treatment plant. Electricity for the landfill is generated by burning the methane collected from the decomposition of the waste. Dried sewage sludge from the nearby San José–Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility is the material used as cover, mixed in with the trash, blending San Jose's waste streams. It is operated by Republic Services (Republic), which, along with Waste Management Incorporated, transports and disposes of most of the household trash in the United States.Materials that pass through the gate of NISL include waste that is disposed in the landfill; clean soil that is used for cover and for temporary roadways; construction and demolition (C&D) debris that is sorted, recycled, and processed for re-use both on-site and elsewhere; and materials that are used for alternative daily cover (ADC), which include but are not limited to biosolids, processed C&D debris, contaminated soil, green waste, and organic material from the on-site composting operations. In addition to C&D waste, bulky recyclables including appliances, tires, carpet, and cardboard are sent to NISL and either are recycled or diverted for beneficial use. Incoming organics received at the landfill are processed (i.e.,ground) and utilized as mulch for erosion control on-site and alternative daily cover or are sent off-site to be used as biofuel, for erosion control, or as a soil additive.The entire site is now called the Newby Island Resource Recovery Park. The site includes both the Newby Island Landfill and the Recyclery.

The Giga Press program is a series of aluminium die casting machines manufactured by Idra Group in Italy. They are notable for being the largest high-pressure die casting machines in current production, with a clamping force of 55,000 to 61,000 kilonewtons (5,600 to 6,200 tf). Each machine weighs 410–430 tonnes (900,000–950,000 lb).Base specification Giga Press machines had been included in Idra's catalogue since 2018, with usage of a customised OL 6100 CS Giga Press started by Tesla, Inc. in late-2020 for the production of chassis parts for the Tesla Model Y.Shots of molten aluminium weighing 80 kilograms (180 lb) are injected into the cold-chamber casting mold with a velocity of 10 metres per second (22 mph; 36 km/h). The cycle time is ~80‒90 seconds, allowing an output rate of 40‒45 completed castings per hour, or ~1,000 castings per day.

Warm Springs/South Fremont station is a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station located in the Warm Springs district of Fremont, California, United States. The East Bay station is served by the Berryessa/North San José–Daly City line and Berryessa/North San José–Richmond line. It was the southern terminus of both lines from its opening on March 25, 2017, until June 13, 2020, when BART opened the first phase of the Silicon Valley BART extension. The station has an island platform between the surface-level BART tracks, with a fare mezzanine above the platform. A footbridge connects the mezzanine to a rotunda which serves as the station entrance.

Leland Stanford Winery was a winery located in the Santa Clara Valley AVA, in Fremont, California, United States. The winery was founded by Leland Stanford in 1869. The vineyard was planted by Stanford's brother, Josiah Stanford. The winery was owned by Weibel Champagne Vineyards until 1996. The area has since been developed into housing, and now consists of a single unused brick building. It was the third vineyard owned by Leland Stanford. It is a California Historical Landmark.

Rancho Los Tularcitos was a 4,394-acre (17.78 km2) Spanish land concession in present day Santa Clara County, California given in 1821 to José Loreto Higuera by the last Spanish governor of Alta California, Pablo Vicente de Solá. The land grant was confirmed by Mexican Governor Juan Alvarado in 1839. The name means "place of the little Tule thickets". The rancho, in what is today central and northern Milpitas, extended from the confluence of Calera and Pennitencia creeks in the northwest to a large live oak tree that marked its southeastern corner. South of Rancho Los Tularcitos was the land of the Pueblo of San José.

Milpitas High School (MHS) is a public four-year comprehensive high school in Milpitas, California, a suburban community north of San Jose. It is one of two high schools within the Milpitas Unified School District. As of 2013, Milpitas High School had an API score of 830 and had an API ranking of 8 out of 10. In 2004, MHS was granted a full, six-year accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school provides its students with many academic, extracurricular and other resources in a community committed to diversity in its student body, faculty and staff. Milpitas High School has modernized facilities which are spread across a 44-acre campus. The facilities include an 8 lane track, tennis courts, baseball field, soccer field, and large gymnasium.

Rancho Agua Caliente was a 9,564-acre (38.70 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Alameda County, California granted in 1836 by Governor Nicolás Gutiérrez to Antonio Suñol and confirmed in 1839 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Fulgencio Higuera. The name means "warm water" and refers to the warm springs located in the foothills a short distance south of Mission San José. The grant is just south of present-day Fremont.
