Sangalhos

The 2017 UEC European Track Championships (under-23 & junior) was the 17th continental championships for European under-23 and junior track cyclists, and the 8th since the event was renamed following the reorganisation of European track cycling in 2010. The event took place at the Sangalhos Velodrome in Sangalhos, Portugal from 19 to 23 July 2017.

Bairrada is a Portuguese wine region located in the Beira Litoral Province. The region has Portugal's highest wine classification as a Denominação de Origem Controlada (DOC), and its popularity has surged over the last years. It is small and quite narrow coastal region, part of the broader region of Beira Atlântico, and it is bordered to the northeast by the Lafões IPR and to the east by the Dão DOC. It is located close to the Atlantic Ocean and the currents have a moderating effect on the climate, resulting in a mild, maritime climate with abundant rainfall. The region is hilly, but the majority of the vineyards are placed on flatter land. About 2/3 of the national sparkling wine production takes place in this region, and in recent years the city of Anadia received the nickname of "Capital do Espumante", which translates to "Sparkling Wine Capital". The region is also known for its deep colored tannic red wines, that often have bell pepper and black currant flavors, as well its emerging rosé production.The boundaries of the Bairrada DOC includes the municipalities of Anadia, Cantanhede, Mealhada and Oliveira do Bairro, and some parishes in the municipalities of Vagos and Coimbra and also the parish of Nariz, in the municipality of Aveiro.

It had 16,994 eligible voters in 2006. The town itself had a population of 3,077 in 2001.The municipality is in the Bairrada area. The present Mayor is Duarte Novo. The municipal holiday is Ascension Day.

São Lourenço do Bairro is a village and a civil parish of the municipality of Anadia, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 2.414, in an area of 15.38 km2.In September 2023 two large wine tanks burst at the Levira distillery in the village, sending an estimated 2.2 million litres of wine flowing through its streets and flooding the basement of a house.

European route E1 is a series of roads in Europe, part of the United Nations International E-road network, running from Larne, Northern Ireland to Seville, Spain. There is a sea crossing between Rosslare Harbour, in Ireland, and Ferrol, but no ferry service. The road also passes through Portugal – past the city of Porto, through the capital, Lisbon, and then south to the Algarve, passing Faro before reaching the Spanish border west of Huelva.

Anadia (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐnɐˈði.ɐ] ) is a municipality in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 29,150, in an area of 216.63 km². It had 26,915 eligible voters. The city of Anadia is part of Arcos e Mogofores parish. The city itself had a population of 3,034 in 2001, while Arcos e Mogofores parish has about 5,000.
