Yellowcraig, also known as Broad Sands Beach, is a coastal area of forest, beach and grassland in East Lothian, south-east Scotland. Yellowcraig is partly within the Firth of Forth Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It is bordered to the north by the Firth of Forth, to the south by the village of Dirleton and Dirleton Castle, to the east by the North Berwick West Links golf course, and to the west by the Archerfield Estate and Links golf courses. Access to Yellowcraig is by the A198 coastal route through Dirleton. A visitor car park lies 270 metres (300 yd) south of the beach. The area includes information displays, a barbecue area and a Treasure Island themed adventure play park. WCs and showers are located at the car park. There is also a wheelchair accessible path and ramp giving a view over the beach.Yellowcraig is on the John Muir Way, a 73-kilometre (45 mi) long distance footpath between Fisherrow, Musselburgh and Dunglass, named in honour of the conservationist John Muir, who was born in Dunbar. Yellowcraig is featured in the leaflet Aberlady to North Berwick among a series of leaflets on the John Muir Way. The John Muir Way is part of the North Sea Trail, a network of paths in 7 countries and 26 areas around the North Sea.The island of Fidra, reputedly the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, lies just to the north-west and is an RSPB nature reserve.The East Lothian Countryside Ranger Service co-ordinates the day-to-day management of this site.

Dirleton Kirk is a church in the village of Dirleton, in East Lothian, Scotland. The church (at grid reference NT512842) is to the north of the village green. Dirleton lies on the south shore of the Firth of Forth 21 miles east of Edinburgh and two miles west of North Berwick, slightly north of the A198 road.

Dirleton is a village and civil parish in East Lothian, Scotland approximately 20 miles (32 km) east of Edinburgh on the A198. It contains 7,500 acres (30 km2). Dirleton lies between North Berwick (east), Gullane (west), Fenton Barns (south) and the Yellowcraigs nature reserve, Archerfield Estate and the Firth of Forth (north). Gullane parish was joined to Dirleton parish in 1612 by an Act of Parliament because "Golyn (as it was anciently spelt) is ane decaying toun, and Dirleton is ane thriven place."

Archerfield and Archerfield Links are a country house (now hotel) and pair of golf courses in the parish of Dirleton, East Lothian, Scotland. An older golf course, also called Archerfield Links, occupied the area before falling into disuse after World War II.

One of two golf courses within North Berwick, the West Links is by far the more renowned. It regularly holds various championships and is used as a qualifying venue when The Open Championship is held at Muirfield (most recently 2013). It was opened in 1832 and occupies a place at the centre of golfing history.

The Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open is a women's professional golf tournament in Scotland on the Ladies European Tour (LET). First played in 1986, it became a regular fixture on the tour schedule in 2010. Since 2017 it has been co-sanctioned by the LPGA Tour and played in late July, the week prior to the Women's British Open. A 54-hole event from 2007 through 2016, it returned to a 72-hole event.

The Renaissance Club is a golf club in Scotland, located in North Berwick, twenty miles (30 km) east of Edinburgh. It hosted the 2017 Scottish Senior Open, 2019–2022 Scottish Opens, and Ladies Scottish Open in 2019 and 2020.

Eyebroughy (or archaically Ibris; NT493859) is a small, rocky islet in the Firth of Forth, 200 m off East Lothian, Scotland.

Lamb, sometimes called Lamb Island or The Lamb, is a small uninhabited island measuring approximately 100 by 50 metres (330 ft × 160 ft), between the islands of Fidra and Craigleith in the Firth of Forth, off the east coast of Scotland. The Lamb is flanked by two "sheep dogs", North and South Dog Islands, which are basically small skerries. Like the other Islands of the Forth off North Berwick, the Lamb is a result of volcanic activity millions of years ago.

The Genesis Scottish Open is a professional golf tournament in Scotland, and is one of five tournaments that are part of the Rolex Series, which identifies it as one of the European Tour's premier events. It has been played on various courses, but in recent years it has been played on a links course, appealing to players who wish to gain experience before the Open, which takes place in the following week. Since 1987 it has, together with John Deere Classic, been the last chance to qualify for The Open. It has been part of the Open Qualifying Series since that series started in 2014. The leading 3 players (4 in 2016) not already qualified, have received an entry to the Open. Before 2014 there was generally an exemption category so that the leading player or players, not already qualified, could play in the Open. The Scottish Open became a Rolex Series event in 2017 (when the series was inaugurated), which meant the prize fund was increased to $7 million. Beginning in 2022, the tournament was co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and title sponsored by Genesis.

Dirleton railway station was a railway station on the North Berwick Branch of the North British Railway in East Lothian, Scotland. It was an intermediate station on the branch line from Drem.

The hamlets of Fenton Barns, East Fenton and West Fenton make up a rural community in East Lothian, Scotland, approximately 20 miles (32 km) east of Edinburgh and close to the settlements of North Berwick, Drem, Dirleton and Gullane. In addition to various long-established farms, a poultry processing factory, commercial mushroom-growing complex and traditional housing, Fenton Barns has more recently grown into a retail, leisure and industrial zone. Golf and archery are now on offer and the Fenton Barns farm shop presents local gourmet produce. Many local artisans have taken up studio space in the units at the former Drem Airfield. East Fenton and West Fenton comprise farms and small hamlets of cottages. The main barn of the farm at East Fenton was destroyed in an arson attack in 2003.
