The Denver Firefighters Museum is a museum in downtown Denver, Colorado, United States. A nonprofit institution 501 (C) (3), it consists of an 11,000-square-foot (1,000 m2) facility housing four galleries that explore the history of firefighting in Denver. Established in 1978, it is located in the 1909-built former Fire Station No. 1, a building that is a Denver Landmark and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Residing in the historical 1325 Glenarm Place near the Colorado Convention Center, The DAC was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Populous Denver is a 13-story hotel in downtown Denver, Colorado, located adjacent to Civic Center Park. The hotel opened in October 2024 and contains 265 guest rooms. Designed by the architecture firm Studio Gang and developed by Denver-based real estate company Urban Villages, the hotel has been widely described as the first "carbon-positive" hotel in the United States, a designation that has drawn both praise and scrutiny in national media. Since opening, Populus has been named one of Time magazine's "World's Greatest Places of 2025" and received a Michelin Key from the Michelin Guide.

Denver's City and County Building is a historic building in the Denver Civic Center, built to house Denver government bureaus. It was built in 1932, facing the Colorado State Capitol, at the west end of Civic Center Park, at 1437 Bannock Street, on land that had been home to the La Veta Place apartments, home to some of Denver's early high society members, including Louise Sneed Hill. It is Greek Revival in style. It was kept low in height to preserve the Capitol building's view of mountains.

The Denver Civic Center is a civic center area that includes two parks surrounded by government and cultural buildings and spaces. Civic Center is located in central Denver, Colorado, on the south side of Downtown Denver. Much of the area is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 (boundaries clarified 1988). A somewhat smaller area was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 2012 as one of the nation's finest examples of the City Beautiful movement of civic design. Denver Civic Center lies partially within the north end of an official Denver neighborhood also named Civic Center. It includes the Colorado State Capitol building, in the west end of Denver's official Capitol Hill neighborhood, and it includes a few buildings in the south end of Denver's Central Business District. The Civic Center area is known as the center of the civic life in the city, with numerous institutions of arts, government, and culture as well as festivals, parades, and protests throughout the year.

PrideFest is an annual Gay pride event held each June in Denver, honoring the culture and heritage of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community in the State of Colorado. The first Denver PrideFest occurred in 1976, the same year the local community center, now known as the Center on Colfax, was founded. The Center organizes and produces the festival and parade each year. The event currently consists of a two-day festival at Civic Center Park, the Pride 5K, and culminates with a parade along Colfax Avenue. Denver PrideFest now draws 525,000 guests annually, making it the third largest pride festival and seventh largest pride parade in the United States.

The Voorhies Memorial is located in the Denver Civic Center, in the U.S. state of Colorado. It was designed by Fisher & Fisher and completed in 1919. It has a triumphal arch and curved supporting wings with roofed columns, as well as murals by Allen Tupper True. It also has a pond with a sculpture of a sea lion (sometimes described as a seal) by Robert Garrison, prompting some to refer to the memorial as the "Seal Pond". The fountain is also called Sea Lion Fountain or Sea Lions Fountain.

A statue of Christopher Columbus was installed in Denver, Colorado, United States. It was the work of noted Denver-based artist William F. Joseph, dedicated in 1972. Joseph's statue was later vandalized and torn down by protestors in June 2020.

On the War Trail is a 1922 statue by Alexander Phimister Proctor, installed outside the Colorado State Capitol in Denver's Civic Center Park. The bronze sculpture depicts a Native American riding on a horse and carrying a spear.

Nan Desu Kan (NDK) is an annual three-day anime convention held during September at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, Colorado. The convention is the largest anime convention in the Rocky Mountain region and each one takes eighteen months to plan. Its name in Japanese roughly means nan desu ka (何ですか), "what is it?". The parent company, Rocky Mountain Anime Association, is a registered 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization.

The Denver Art Museum (DAM) is an art museum located in the Civic Center of Denver, Colorado. With encyclopedic collections of more than 70,000 diverse works from across the centuries and world, the DAM is one of the largest art museums between the West Coast and Chicago. It is known for its collection of American Indian art, as well as The Petrie Institute of Western American Art, which oversees the Museum’s Western art collection. and its other collections of more than 70,000 diverse works from across the centuries and world. The Museum’s iconic Martin Building (formerly known as the North Building) was designed by famed Italian architect Gio Ponti in 1971.In 2018, the Museum began a transformational $150 million renovation project to unify the campus and revitalize Ponti’s original structure, including the creation of new exhibition spaces, two new dining options, and a new welcome center.
