Selce (pronounced [ˈseːltsɛ]) is a small village northeast of Kamno in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Selišče (pronounced [sɛˈliːʃtʃɛ]) is a small village between Kamno and Volarje in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Vrsno (pronounced [ˈʋəɾsnɔ]; Italian: Ursina) is a small village in the Municipality of Kobarid in the Littoral region of Slovenia. Vrsno is best known as the birthplace of the poet Simon Gregorčič. Since 1966, Gregorčič's home has housed a small ethnographic museum with some exhibits from the poet's life. The museum also showcases the poet's artistic work, displays a timeline of historic events that occurred in his lifetime, and presents his relatives and notable contemporaries.

Volarje (pronounced [ˈʋoːlaɾjɛ]; Italian: Vollaria) is a village on the left bank of the Soča River in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.The local church, built outside the settlement on the road towards Selišče, is dedicated to Saint Bricius and belongs to the Parish of Tolmin.

The Battle of Caporetto (also known as the Twelfth Battle of the Isonzo, the Battle of Kobarid or the Battle of Karfreit) was a battle on the Italian front of World War I. The battle was fought between the Kingdom of Italy and the Central Powers and took place from 24th of October to 19th of November 1917, near the town of Kobarid (now in north-western Slovenia, then part of the Austrian Littoral), also was near the river Isonzo. The battle was named after the Italian name of the town (also known as Karfreit in German). Austro-Hungarian forces, reinforced by German units, were able to break into the Italian front line and rout the Italian forces opposing them. The battle was a demonstration of the effectiveness of the use of stormtroopers and the infiltration tactics developed in part by Oskar von Hutier. The use of poison gas by the Germans also played a key role in the collapse of the Italian Second Army.The rest of the Italian Army retreated 150 kilometres (93 mi) to the Piave River, its effective strength declined from 1,800,000 troops down to 1,000,000 and the government of Prime Minister Paolo Boselli collapsed.

Kamno (pronounced [ˈkaːmnɔ]) is a village on the left bank of the Soča River in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and belongs to the Diocese of Koper.

Krn (pronounced [ˈkəɾn]; 2,244 metres or 7,362 feet) is a mountain of the southwestern Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. It is the highest mountain of the Krn Mountains. The mountain is located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) from the Adriatic Sea. The Soča River flows west of the peak, and the smaller Lepenjica River northeast and the Tolminka River southwest of it. Krn has a mighty western wall, which can be best seen from Kobarid or Drežnica. On the southern slope of the mountain lie the small villages of Vrsno, Krn, Drežnica, Drežniške Ravne, and Magozd. On the northern side lies Lake Krn, the largest glacial lake in Slovenia. During the First World War, the Battles of the Isonzo took place in the area. The 3rd Regiment of Alpini had taken Mount Krn's peak on 16 June 1915 in a daring raid where the elite Italian unit climbed the peak's cliffs "with their boots swaddled in sacks of straw to reduce noise," some of them barefoot, and others wearing only socks, and battled the Hungarian battalion of the 4th Honved Regiment. "It was a glorious success, the first of the war, presaging others that never materialized."The top of neighbouring Mount Batognica (2,164 m or 7,100 ft) was blown off by an accidental weapon depot explosion. Many remnants from the war remain scattered around the peak.

Libušnje (pronounced [liˈbuːʃnjɛ]; Italian: Libussina) is a small village in the Municipality of Kobarid in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Koseč (pronounced [kɔˈsɛtʃ]; Italian: Cossis) is a small settlement above Drežnica in the Municipality of Kobarid in the Littoral region of Slovenia. A small church in the settlement dedicated to Saint Justus dates to the second half of the 14th century, making it one of the oldest surviving churches in the Soča area. It is built of travertine and its interior is covered in frescos from the late 15th century.

Gabrje (pronounced [ˈɡaːbəɾjɛ]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Mlinsko (pronounced [ˈmliːnskɔ]) is a small settlement on the right bank of the Soča River just outside Kobarid in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Drenchia (Slovene: Dreka; Friulian: Drencje) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of Trieste and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of Udine, on the border with Slovenia. Drenchia is located on the western slopes of the Kolovrat Range, dividing Italy from Slovenia, and borders the following municipalities: Grimacco, Kanal ob Soči (Slovenia), Kobarid (Slovenia), and Tolmin (Slovenia). Drenchia localities include Clabuzzaro/Brieg, Crai/Kraj, Cras/Kras, Drenchia inferiore/Dolenja Dreka, Drenchia Superiore/Gorenja Dreka, Lase/Laze, Malinsche/Malinske, Obenetto/Dubenije, Obranche/Obranke, Oznebrida/Ocnebardo, Paciuch/Pačuh, Peternel/Peternel, Prapotnizza/Praponca, San Volfango/Svet Štuoblank, Trinco/Trinko, Trusgne/Trušnje, Zavart/Zavart, Zuodar/Cuoder. The municipal hall is located in Cras. As of 31 December 2010, it had a population of 141 and an area of 13.8 square kilometres (5.3 sq mi).
