Once an independent community, it has now been amalgamated with Borken since 1971. Lendorf has about 400 inhabitants. 474 Hectare (51,020,886 sq ft) are the boundary of Lendorf.

Gombeth is a constituent community of Borken (Hesse, Germany) and had its first documentary mention in 857 as "Gumbetta die Marka". Once an independent community, it was amalgamated with Borken in 1974. Gombeth is surrounded on all sides by former open-pit brown coal mines, being found to the south, towards Singlis (nowadays a windsurfing lake), and towards Borken. The pit east of Gombeth was filled in by PreussenElektra as part of the renaturation programme.

Wabern (German pronunciation: [ˈvaːbɐn] ) is a municipality in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse, Germany. It lies on the Main-Weser Railway between Kassel and Frankfurt. From Wabern, the Edersee Railway runs to Bad Wildungen.

Olmes is a river of Hesse, Germany. It flows into the Schwalm near Borken.

The Efze (German pronunciation: [ˈɛftsə]) is a river of Hesse, Germany and tributary of the Schwalm. It joins the Schwalm on the right bank near Wabern. The tributaries of the Efze include the nearly 22-km long Ohebach.

The formerly independent community of Großenenglis has been since its amalgamation with Borken in 1974 with its population then of 1,190 the northernmost and largest by land area (988 ha) of Borken's constituent communities. The following constituent communities are in direct neighbourhood. In the south is Gombeth, in the west Kleinenglis and in the east Udenborn[1] (among to the municipal of Wabern).

Wabern (Bz Kassel) is a railway station in the municipality of Wabern, in the German state of Hesse. It is on the Main to Weser railway from Frankfurt to Kassel. The station is a stop for ICE trains with connections towards Bremen and Karlsruhe. It was once an important railway junction, as the line to Brilon Wald (Wabern–Bad Wildungen and Wega–Brilon Wald lines) branched off here with a connection to the Ruhr area. Today this branch line ends in Bad Wildungen. The station opened in December 1849, at the same time as the railway line from Kassel. The extension to Treysa opened a few days later. The station has a main building designed by Julius Eugen Ruhl. In 2018 the station was modernized to be barrier-free, involving the construction of a new underpass, three elevators and raised platforms. The work cost €15 million. In the 2026 timetable, the following services stop at the station:
