Lord's Castle

Waltham Highlands station is a former railroad station in Waltham, Massachusetts. Originally established by the Central Massachusetts Railroad, it was incorporated into the MBTA Commuter Rail with MBTA subsidies in 1965. It was located on Hammond Street north of the Waltham town center. It was closed on November 26, 1971, when service on the Central Mass Branch was terminated due to poor track conditions and low ridership. The station building remains, with some modifications, and is used as an insurance agency.

The Hagar–Smith–Livermore–Sanderson House is a historic house at 51 Sanders Lane in Waltham, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built in several stages, and is considered to be the city's oldest surviving structure. Its oldest portion, now an ell attached to the main block, may have been built as early as 1716 (according to deed research), although architectural evidence suggests a date in the mid-18th century. This structure is attached to a larger main block that is now 2+1⁄2 stories with a slate gambrel roof. This section, however, also began as a 1+1⁄2-story structure, built in the 1780s. The house reached its current proportions in the mid-19th century, which is when it received its Italianate styling. The house has long been associated with a number of families prominent in the affairs of the town.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Mt. Prospect School for Boys was a historic school at 90 Worcester Lane in Waltham, Massachusetts. It was a large Georgian Revival brick building built in 1923 to house an experimental boys' school. The school was founded by Arthur Astor Carey (of the noted New York City Astor family), and was headed by Hugo B. Seikel. The school only operated for about ten years, after which the property was converted for use as a nursing home.The school complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Sometime thereafter it was demolished.

The Prospect House is a historic building located at 11 Hammond Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. Built in 1839, this temple-front Greek Revival structure was originally a hotel and tavern, and is one of only a few surviving 19th century hotel buildings in the city. Now an apartment house, the building has four two-story fluted Doric columns supporting a pedimented gable, with a second-story porch behind the columns. Early pedimented dormers have been linked together in later alterations.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Prospect Hill is a hill in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States, and is the third-highest point within 12 miles (19 km) of downtown Boston. The hill is in Prospect Hill Park on the west side of Waltham, near Route 128. It is exceeded in height by Great Blue Hill and Chickatawbut Hill, both in the Blue Hills Reservation. It is not to be confused with the much lower, historically significant Prospect Hill near Union Square in Somerville. There are two different summits; Big Prospect, at 485 feet (148 m), and Little Prospect at 435 feet (133 m). Both summits provide some of the best views of the Boston basin. In clear weather, Monadnock, 54 miles away, is visible in an approximately northwest direction. The hill and the surrounding area make up the 273-acre (110 ha) Prospect Hill Park, a municipal park with numerous hiking trails and picnic areas that is the oldest and largest public open space in Waltham.

The Gale–Banks House is a historic house at 935 Main Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. This farmhouse was built c. 1798, and is one of the finest Federal style houses in the city. It is also significant for its association with Waltham native son, Governor of Massachusetts, and general of the American Civil War, Nathaniel Prentice Banks, who purchased it in 1855 and made it is home until his death in 1894. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The U.S. Post Office—Waltham Main is a historic post office building in Waltham, Massachusetts. The T-shaped brick and stone building was built in 1935, as part of a Works Progress Administration project during the Great Depression. The Classical Revival building was designed by the Boston firm of Wadsworth, Hubbard & Smith. The interior is of a layout typical of other period post offices, with a central lobby area flanked by the postmaster's office on the left and a work area on the right. This public area is faced in a variety of stone products, predominantly marble from a variety of sources.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Wherehouse, officially titled A. Wherehouse, is a warehouse located at 55 Pond Street in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States.It was rented out by the rock band Aerosmith, starting in 1975 and continuing into the 1980s. The warehouse featured a garage where the band members would park their cars, upstairs offices for the band's personnel, and a ground-level recording studio and stage where the band would often rehearse, write, and record music. The band would also hold meetings here and use the building to rest and relax. Steve Leber and David Krebs, managers for Aerosmith during the 1970s, also managed Ted Nugent and Mahogany Rush. Those artists also used the Wherehouse as a practice and tour rehearsal site when they were in Boston. The Wherehouse was also the birthplace of Aero Force One, the band's official fan club. Ray Tabano, musician and founding member of the band in 1970, left the band and started up the club in 1971, writing newsletters and selling merchandise out of the building. Tabano was also responsible for the general maintenance of the building and its offices. Occasionally, Aerosmith would rent out the stage and studio to other musicians. The band Boston scored their famous record deal when they rented out the building and played for record company executives here. Now the official home of The Boston Scally Company.

The Francis Buttrick House is a historic house at 44 Harvard Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. Built before 1852, it is one of a small number of temple-front Greek Revival houses in the city. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Piety Corner Historic District encompasses one of the oldest settled areas of Waltham, Massachusetts. It is centered on a major road intersection, the junction of Totten Pond Road with Lexington and Bacon Streets, and includes the city's largest single concentration of well-preserved 19th and early 20th-century houses. It extends south from Totten Pond Road along Bacon Street as far as Greenwood Lane, and along Lexington Street to Beaver Street. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Christ Church is a historic Episcopal church at 750 Main Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. The church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, and was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The church was founded in 1848, but a local hall was used for services until a wooden church was built in 1849. The wooden structure eventually proved inadequate and a larger church designed by Peabody and Stearns was built of local fieldstone at the current location between 1897 and 1898. The church contains stained glass windows produced by several noteworthy manufacturers, including Clayton and Bell, Charles Connick, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and Donald MacDonald. Eight rectors have served the church since its founding.

The building at 202–204 Charles Street in Waltham, Massachusetts is a well-preserved example of multi-unit residential housing built in the city in the early decades of the 20th century. It was built in 1913, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
