Sydney Secondary College

The Blackwattle Bay Campus of the Sydney Secondary College is a government-funded co-educational dual modality comprehensive senior secondary day school, located in the inner-western Sydney suburb of Glebe, New South Wales, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1979 as Glebe High School, the campus caters for approximately 750 students in Year 11 and Year 12. Since 2005, the campus has served exclusively as the senior school of the Sydney Secondary College and its two junior campuses are Balmain and Leichhardt campuses.

Blackwattle Bay is a bay located to the south–east of Glebe Island and east of Rozelle Bay on Sydney Harbour, in New South Wales, Australia. The bay was named in 1788 after the Black Wattle tree found at the bay, which was used for housing construction. When first used, the bay was a swampy inlet fed by a creek that ran from its eastern end. Industrial use by tanners and slaughter houses caused the area to be fouled by noxious fumes and there were many complaints by the residents. An embankment with a bridge was built across the swamp to provide access from Glebe to Pyrmont, being known as Bridge Rd. The area to the southeast of the road was filled in becoming Wentworth Park. A coal unloader and other facilities were built on the northwest side of the road and the by now also features the Sydney Fish Market on its northeast side.

The property is owned by RailCorp (State Government). It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

It was designed by John Verge and built from 1833 to 1837. The property is owned by Historic Houses Trust of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Bidura House, or simply, Bidura, is a heritage-listed former residence, orphanage and office building located at 357 Glebe Point Road in the inner western Sydney suburb of Glebe in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Edmund Thomas Blacket and built in 1860. It is also known as Bidura House Group. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 28 August 2017.

It was designed by Ambrose Thornley Junior and built in 1896 for William Jarrett who lived in the adjoining house. It is also known as site of former Venetia (demolished) and 55 Leichhardt Street. The property is owned by the City of Sydney Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Tranby is a heritage-listed former residence and now adult education centre for Aboriginal Australians in Sydney, commonly known as Tranby Aboriginal College. It is located at 13 Mansfield Street in the inner western Sydney suburb of Glebe in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by A. L. & G. McCredie and built from 1858 to 1910, and is also known as Toxteth Cottage. Since 1958 the house and grounds have been the main campus of Tranby National Adult Indigenous Education and Training, and they are owned by Tranby Aboriginal Co-operative Ltd. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
