Weymouth is a city in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, and one of 13 municipalities in the state to have city forms of government while retaining "town of" in their official names. It is named after Weymouth, Dorset, a coastal town in England, and is the second-oldest settlement in Massachusetts, second only to Plymouth. It is one of the South Shore's more affordable towns and offers a short commute into Boston, MBTA bus and rail service, and a town beach. As of the 2020 census, Weymouth had a total population of 57,437.

The Weymouth Civic District is a historic district encompassing the main civic area in Weymouth, Massachusetts. It is anchored by the 1928 Town Hall, which is a slightly reduced-scale replica of the Old State House in Boston, and the Legion Field athletic complex. Most of the houses built in the area along Middle Street between and surrounding these anchors were built between 1850 and 1920. To the south of town hall is a memorial wall, on which are plaques commemorating the town's military. The oldest building in the district is the 1926 Tudor Revival Weymouth Industrial School building, located next to the middle school.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Union Point Sports Complex is a multi-purpose sports complex in Weymouth, Massachusetts, and is home to the New England Free Jacks of Major League Rugby.

The Jefferson School is a historic school at 200 Middle Street in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The Queen Anne style school was designed by Shepard S. Woodcock and was built in 1889. The four-room schoolhouse is a variant of the Washington School, built in 1887. In contrast to the latter school, this one has more symmetrical massing, but is decorated with scalloped shingles and a porch with elaborate woodwork. It is topped by an octagonal clock tower with cupola.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

The Central Square Historic District is a historic district encompassing an area in Weymouth, Massachusetts, which was historically significant in the pre-factory period of shoe manufacturing. It is centered at the intersection of Middle and Broad Streets, extending on Middle Street from Maple to Charles Streets, and on Broad from just west of the main junction to Putnam Street. Most of the houses built in this area between 1850 and 1870 were built for workers in relatively small shoemaking operations, one of which still stands at the main intersection. Later additions to the district include the Jefferson School, a Masonic temple, and the Clapp Memorial Building, which originally housed a boys' club.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The John Adams School is a historic school building in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The Greek Revival/Italianate school building was built in 1855, on the site of Weymouth's first school building (1681). It is Weymouth's oldest surviving school building. It is 2+1⁄2 stories tall, with a front-facing gable roof that has a bracketed gable. The main facade is three bays wide, with windows that have bracketed surrounds, and a pair of entrances with bracketed cornices above.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It presently houses a daycare center.

The Weymouth Meeting House Historic District encompasses one of the oldest sections of Weymouth, Massachusetts. This area, centered on a cluster of properties near Church, East, Green, North, and Norton Streets, includes the city's oldest cemetery (the North Cemetery, established c. 1636), the site of its first meeting house, the 1833 church of its first congregation, the birthplace of presidential wife and mother Abigail Adams, and the John Adams School, Weymouth's oldest surviving schoolhouse. The area was the center of Weymouth until 1723, and then North Weymouth until 1833.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

East Weymouth is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Weymouth, Massachusetts. It serves the Greenbush Line, and is located in the East Weymouth village. It consists of a single side platform serving the line's one track. The station is fully accessible.

Great Esker Park is located in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The park mostly consists of a geological formation known as an esker (a winding ridge of stratified sand and gravel) formed by a glacier 12,000 years ago. It is located along the Weymouth Back River, across from Bare Cove Park in Hingham, Massachusetts.The park features the highest esker in North America (90 ft), reversing falls, salt marshes, six miles (10 km) of trails, a playground and picnic area. Bird watching is a popular activity as osprey, great blue heron, red-tailed hawks, owls, and other species of birds are abundant seasonally. There are man-made shelters on the river where Osprey nest in the spring and summer months. In the summer months the park is used by Wey-Rec for children's programs.

The Fresh River is a tributary of the Weymouth Back River in Norfolk and Plymouth counties, Massachusetts in the United States.

The Washington School is a historic school building at 8 School Street in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame building was designed by Shepard S. Woodcock and built in 1887. The six-room building has characteristic Queen Anne styling, including asymmetrical massing, varied gable treatments, use of decorative fish-scale shingles, and an elaborately decorated entry porch.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It has since been converted into offices.

The Sea Street Historic District encompasses a portion of North Weymouth, Massachusetts that encapsulates 300 years of history in the town. The district is centered on a triangular area bounded by North Street, Bridge Street, and Sea Street, with extensions along Shaw Street, Curtis Street, and North Street as far as south as Neck Street. Predominantly residential in character, the district includes more than 150 buildings, dating from the 17th to the 20th century. Its most prominent features include Beals Park (on Bridge Street, established in the 1880s) and the 1852 Greek Revival Congratational Church on Athens Street. Most of the district's early buildings are modest in character, and are sparingly decorated; one of the more elaborate of these is the c. 1810 Federal period house at 180 North Street/555 Bridge Street. The oldest structure in the district is believed to be the Bicknell House at 55 Sea Street, a c. 1650 1+1⁄2-story Cape style house.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
