St Mabyn Parish Church

St Mabyn (Cornish: S. Mabon) is a civil parish and village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village is situated three miles (5 km) east of Wadebridge. The parish includes a hamlet called Longstone to the east and many small manor houses, including Tregarden, Tredethy, Helligan Barton and Colquite, all built in the 16th and 17th centuries. The area of the parish is 4,101 acres (16.60 km2).

St Mabyn C of E Primary School is a Church of England Primary School with academy status located in the village of St Mabyn between Bodmin and Wadebridge in Cornwall, England, UK. The school educates boys and girls between the ages of four and eleven and has 49 pupils with two mixed age classes. The school federated with St Tudy C of E Primary School in January 2010 with Karen Holmes as joint head. It formed part of the Saints Way Multi Academy Trust, until 2022 when it became part of St Barnabas Multi-Academy Trust.

Tregarden is a Grade II* listed large house built by the Barrett family in the late 16th century in the parish of St Mabyn, Cornwall, England. The house is built to a traditional E-shaped Elizabethan plan. The entrance archway is dated 1631, the date that William Godolphin married the Barrett heiress. The Hearth Tax Returns for 1664 record it as having 8 hearths. The house became a farmhouse in the 19th century. It is currently a restored manor house owned by the Tremayne family.

Longstone is a hamlet in Cornwall, England, UK. It is part of the civil parish of St Mabyn, and is about one mile east of St Mabyn village on the B3266 road. It is named after the menhir which formerly stood here. The "Longstone" was a standing stone which was broken up for gateposts around 1850. It was said to have been inscribed, thus making it early medieval. There is however a later medieval cross by the crossroads. It consists of a medieval crosshead placed on a modern rough hewn shaft which has been set into a medieval moorstone slab base. There was a Wesleyan Methodist chapel, built is 1872 and Sunday School, however, these have both been converted to private homes. The hamlet previously had a garage, which has now been demolished to make way for a housing estate, 'Gwel an Menhir'.

It is in the parish of Egloshayle and Croan house (a quarter of a mile) and Croanford (half a mile) are to the east. Croan House is a manor house of two storeys and seven bays which was built in the 1690s for a prosperous attorney.

Tredethy is a house and estate in the civil parish of St Mabyn, Cornwall, UK, at Grid reference SX 06 71. It occupies seven acres and is one of a number of small manor houses in the parish all built in the 16th and 17th centuries. The house was extensively restored in 1892 by the prominent Cornish architect Silvanus Trevail. This was the seat of the Rev. Charles Peters (1690–1774), a Hebrew scholar. Later it became the home of Prince Chula Chakrabongse of Thailand who married Elizabeth Hunter, an English woman in 1938. Their daughter, Mom Rajawongse Narisa Chakrabhongse, was born in 1956. They lived at Tredethy in the 1940s and 1950s. At Bodmin there is an ornate granite drinking bowl which serves the needs of thirsty dogs at the entrance to Bodmin's Priory car park which was donated by Prince Chula. There is a similar granite drinking bowl at Mitchem’s Corner in Cambridge, donated in 1934 in memory of Prince Chula’s dog called Tony. In the 1960s Tredethy was converted to a hotel with 11 en-suite bedrooms.

Costislost is a Grade II listed house in the parish of Egloshayle in Cornwall, England. To the south are Costislost Plantations. It dates to probably the 17th century, and underwent remodelling in the 18th and 19th centuries. The property was a farmhouse for centuries and belonged to the Lakeman family in the 19th century.Today it is run as an organic retreat and nutritional health centre.

Kelly Rounds, or Castle Killibury is an Iron Age hill fort in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated beside the A39 trunk road approximately two miles east of Wadebridge.The site is north of the village of St Mabyn, approximately 300 metres east of Three Holes Cross on the border of the parish of Egloshayle. Radiocarbon dating has dated the occupation of Kelly Rounds to between 400 and 100 BC. More carbon dating has dated a pre-hill fort occupation as between 1250 and 950 BC.
