Aachen Forest (German: Aachener Wald, Aachen dialect Öcher Bösch, Dutch: Akenerbos) lies about 3.7 km south of the city centre of Aachen and has an area of 2,357 ha. It essentially comprises the forest areas of the former free imperial city of Aachen south and west of the formerly independent municipalities of Burtscheid and Forst, as well as north and east of the Belgian border. Apart from a few small plots, it is all in municipal ownership. In July 2003, the Forest of Aachen was awarded the environmental seal of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) on the initiative of Greenpeace, which was extended in 2008 for another five years.

The Aachen Bismarck Tower is one of 173 still-standing towers and columns (of the 240 originally built), which were constructed in the German Empire to commemorate the founder of the German state, Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898).

The FH Aachen – Aachen University of Applied Sciences is one of the biggest Fachhochschulen in Germany with roughly 15,000 students, 250 professors, 470 contract lecturers, and 340 assistants. It is specialized in certain topical areas (e.g. technology, engineering, business, design). The FH Aachen ranks as the first best among the Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany in the fields of Electrical, Mechanical engineering and Informatics. Ten Faculties offer 53 Bachelor's, 22 Master's and three cooperative degree programmes. The FH Aachen is situated in Aachen and in Jülich.

Burtscheid Abbey (German: Abtei Burtscheid) was a Benedictine monastery, after 1220 a Cistercian nunnery, located at Burtscheid, near Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia, in Germany.

Aachen Hauptbahnhof (German for Aachen main station) is the most important railway station for the city of Aachen, in the far west of Germany near the Dutch and Belgian border. It is the largest of the four currently active Aachen stations, and is integrated into the long-distance network.

The Jewish Cemetery Aachen (German: Jüdischer Friedhof Lütticher Straße Aachen) is located in Aachen in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the corner of Lütticher Straße (English "Liège street") and Körnerstraße. In 1820, the Jewish community in Aachen asked the district administrator to allocate a place for the burial of deceased members of the community, since at that time the dead of the Jewish community in Aachen had to be buried in Düren in the old cemetery or in the neighboring Dutch village of Vaals. The Jewish cemetery was transferred to the Jewish community of Aachen in June 1822 and used for burials from the same year. In 1865 and 1878, the site was expanded. The burial hall was completed in 1890. The oldest tombstone (mazewot) dates from 1822. In the cemetery, which is still in use today, there are 1366 tombstones for 2153 deceased (as of December 2014). The cemetery has been desecrated several times. Most recently, on the night of 1–2 August 2010, the cemetery wall was vandalized with anti-semitic smearings and Nazi symbolism.

Hauset is a village in the Belgian municipality of Raeren, part of the German-speaking Community of Belgium. The village is around 260m over Mean Sea Level, along the small river Geul and borders the Forest of Aachen. The population, around 1700 inhabitants, is German-speaking and is about half of German citizens who come from the Aachen region. Hauset is on the border to Germany, close to Aachen. Adjacent Belgian villages are Hergenrath, Walhorn and Eynatten.

The Frankenberg Castle (in German, Burg Frankenberg, and sometimes spelled Frankenburg) is a castle in the Frankenberg area of Aachen-Mitte, itself a district of Aachen, Germany. Its name comes from the concept of a “Franke”, which was a type of castle that did not owe fealty to any others. Of course, shortly after its construction, the lowland castle became a fief of a Graf (basically equivalent to Count), and later belonged to the Duchy of Jülich-Cleves-Berg. From 1961 until August 2010 the former water castle housed a museum that documented the history of the Aachen area, from its Stone Age flint mines, through the Roman thermal bath period, up to the Industrial Revolution.

Theater Aachen is a theatre in Aachen, Germany. It is the principal venue in that city for operas, musical theatre and plays. It is the home of the Aachen Symphony Orchestra. The original project was by Johann Peter Cremer, later altered by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Construction on the original theatre began in 1822 and it opened on 15 May 1825. A bomb attack on 14 July 1943 destroyed the first theatre, and the current structure was inaugurated on 23 December 1951 with a performance of Richard Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.

Aachen Schanz station is a railway station in Aachen, Germany on the railway line Aachen–Mönchengladbach. The station is located at the western end of the inner city, and is the station with the shortest walking distance to the historic center or the Aachen Cathedral. Several bus lines to western Aachen stop here, including regional buses to Kelmis and Maastricht and the medical centers of the city (Luisenhospital, Franziskushospital, Alexianerkrankenhaus and Klinikum Aachen). It is not a bus hub, but some lines stop at the southern end (Jakobstraße) and some at the northern end (Vaalser Straße), depending on the route of the line. The accessible developed station lies between Aachen Central Station and Aachen West station at the west end of downtown.

Grenzlandtheater Aachen is a theater in Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany founded by actor Kurt Sieder (1899–1964) in 1950.

Beverbach is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The Beverbach springs south of Aachen. It is a right tributary of the Wurm in Aachen.
