Kitano Tenmangū

Kamishichiken (上七軒), pronounced locally as Kamihichiken, is a district of northwest Kyoto, Japan. It is the oldest hanamachi (geisha district) in Kyoto, and is located just east of the Kitano Tenman-gū Shrine. The name Kamishichiken literally means "Seven Upper Houses." These refer to the seven teahouses built from the equipment and material left over from the rebuilding of the Kitano Shrine in Muromachi era (1333–1573). Kamishichiken is located in Kyoto's Nishijin area, which is known for traditional hand-woven textiles. The quiet streets of Kamigyō-ku are made up of dark wooden buildings, mainly ochaya (teahouses) and okiya (geisha houses). Unlike the other remaining districts, which are located close to the city center, Kamishichiken is further away, and accordingly significantly quieter and attracts fewer tourists. The geisha of this district are known for being subtle and demure, few in number but each highly accomplished dancers and musicians. There are approximately 25 maiko (apprentice geisha) and geisha in Kamishichiken, along with 11 teahouses.The district crest is a ring of skewered dango (sweet dumplings). On lanterns they appear as red circles on white paper (as opposed to Gion, which uses a similar design, but with the reverse colors – white dango on a red background).

The Hirano Shrine (平野神社, Hirano-jinja) is a Shinto shrine in Kyoto, Japan. This shrine is known and popular for its gardens and many trees.

Daihōon-ji (大報恩寺) is a Buddhist temple in Kamigyō-ku, Kyoto, Japan. It is affiliated with Shingon-shū Chizan-ha Buddhism. Its main hall (本堂, hondō) or Senbon Shakadō (千本釈迦堂) is a National Treasure of Japan.

Kitano-Hakubaichō Station (北野白梅町駅, Kitano-Hakubaichō-eki) is a station in Kita-ku, Kyoto, Japan, operated by Keifuku Electric Railroad. It has two bay platform tracks.

The Kyoto Museum for World Peace (立命館大学国際平和ミュージアム, Ritsumeikan Daigaku Kokusai Heiwa Myūjiamu) is part of Ritsumeikan University in Kita-ku, Kyoto, Japan. The Museum is accessible to the public for a 400–600 Yen fee. The displays and materials are mostly in Japanese but there is a 25-page English booklet describing the exhibits. The museum is near Kinkaku-ji and just east of the main Ritsumeikan University campus. In 2004 the museum took over the exhibits of the museum that was part of the Young People's Plaza, designed by famous architect Kenzo Tange.

The Senbonza theater was a theater in Kyoto, Japan, in the late 19th century. Actor Onoe Matsunosuke worked there near the start of his career in 1889, at which time Shōzō Makino was the manager of the theater was directing there. The Yokota Shōkai film importation company often screened foreign films at the theater, which had originally been the home of a small touring kabuki group.

Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺, literally "Temple of the Golden Pavilion"), officially named Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺, lit. 'Deer Garden Temple'), is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. It is one of the most popular buildings in Kyoto, attracting many visitors annually. It is designated as a National Special Historic Site, a National Special Landscape and is one of 17 locations making up the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto which are World Heritage Sites.Kinkaku-ji was ranked the No. 85 Most Holy Place on Earth by religious leaders, writers and scholars in the Patheos multi-faith religion project Sacred Spaces: The 100 Most Holy Places on Earth.

Kenkun Shrine (建勲神社,, Kenkun-jinja) also known as Takeisao Shrine, is a Shinto shrine in the city of Kyoto, Japan. One of the four shrines that protect Kyoto in the four cardinal directions, it protects Kyoto from the north. Oda Nobunaga, a daimyō and key figure in the unification of Japan during the late 16th century, is deified and buried inside.

Funaoka Onsen (船岡温泉) is an onsen (public bath house) in Kyoto, Japan. The building is made out of wood and dates to 1923. The authorities registered it as a Tangible Cultural Property. The front entrance gate features a karahafu undulating curved gable at the top, a feature that can be found often in Japanese castles. The interior has ornately covered panels out of wood which depict mythological stories. It was carved by artists who work for the Imperial Court and it took them around 10 years to complete.

Ritsumeikan University (立命館大学, Ritsumeikan Daigaku, abbreviated to Rits and 立命 Ritsumei) is a private university in Kyoto, Japan, that traces its origin to 1869. In addition to its main campus in Kyoto, the university also has satellite campuses in Ibaraki, Osaka and Kusatsu, Shiga. Today, Ritsumeikan University is known as one of Western Japan's most prestigious universities. "Kan-Kan-Do-Rits" 関関同立 (Kwansei Gakuin University, Kansai University, Doshisha University, and Ritsumeikan University) is the abbreviation that refers to the four leading private universities in the Keihanshin region, home of 20 million people. Tōjiin Ritsumeikan University Station (等持院・立命館大学衣笠キャンパス前駅, Tōjiin Ritsumeikan-Daigaku-Kinugasa-Kyampasu-mae-eki) is a tram stop in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan. The station is serviced by the Randen Kitano Line that begins at Katabiranotsuji and continues to Kitano-Hakubaichō. It carries the distinction of being the longest-named train station in Japan, with 26 hiragana characters.The station was renamed from Tojiin Station on March 20, 2020 in order to reflect its proximity to the main Kinugasa Campus of Ritsumeikan University. It was reported that while train operator Keifuku had considered shortening the new station name, they decided against it after discovering it would become the longest-named train station in the country.

Tōji-in (等持院) is a Buddhist temple of the Rinzai Tenryū sect located in Kita Ward, Kyoto, Japan, and one of two funeral temples (bodaiji) dedicated to Ashikaga Takauji, first shōgun of the Ashikaga dynasty. Its main object of worship is Shakyamuni, and its honorary sangō prefix is Mannenzan (萬年山).
