Codicote Football Club is a football club based in Codicote, near Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England. They are currently members of the Spartan South Midlands League Division Two and play at the John Clements Memorial Ground.

Singlers Marsh is a 6.3 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Welwyn in Hertfordshire It is owned and managed by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.The site is bordered by the River Mimram. It has grassland, which is managed by cattle grazing and cutting, and areas of willow scrub with some more mature trees. It provides a habitat for a wide range of insects and birds.There is access by a kissing gate at the corner of Codicote Road and Fulling Mill Lane.

Danesbury Park is a 24.5-hectare (61-acre) public park and Local Nature Reserve in Welwyn in Hertfordshire. It is owned and managed by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.The site was formerly the park of Danesbury House, and it still has some large mature trees which are important to wildlife, especially bats, owls, insects and fungi. The park also has grassland with many varieties of flowering plants, and which is managed by rare-breed cattle, and occasionally by cutting.There is access from a number of roads including Codicote Road. Another Local Nature Reserve, Singlers Marsh is on the other side of Codicote Road.

Guessens is a Grade II* listed timber-framed house at 6 Codicote Road, Welwyn, in Hertfordshire, England. It was built in the early 17th century and has later additions. From 1730 to 1765 it was the residence of the poet and dramatist Edward Young, who was also rector of Welwyn.

Welwyn is a village and civil parish in Hertfordshire, England. The parish also includes the villages of Digswell and Oaklands. It is sometimes referred to as Old Welwyn or Welwyn Village, to distinguish it from the much newer and larger settlement of Welwyn Garden City, about a mile to the south.

Ayot St Peter is a village and civil parish in the Welwyn Hatfield district of Hertfordshire, England, about two miles north-west of Welwyn Garden City. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 166. At the 2011 Census the population including the nearby Ayot Green and Ayot St Lawrence was 245.

The Knebworth Festival is a recurring open-air rock and pop concert held on the grounds of the Knebworth House in Knebworth, England. The festival first occurred in July 1974 when The Allman Brothers Band, The Doobie Brothers and other artists attracted 60,000 people. Since then the venue has hosted numerous outdoor concerts, featuring artists including The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, The Beach Boys, Elkie Brooks, Deep Purple, Queen, Status Quo, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Phil Collins, Robert Plant, Dire Straits, Mike Oldfield, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Robbie Williams, and Oasis.

Ayot Park is a grade II listed park and garden at Ayot St Lawrence in Hertfordshire, England. It contains the grade II* listed Ayot House along with an earlier manor house and a walled kitchen garden which are also listed. The estate was acquired in 1723 by Cornelius Lyde and after his death it passed to Sir Lionel Lyde who was both his nephew and son-in-law. Sir Lionel built the grade I listed St Lawrence Church which faces the house across the park. It was consecrated in 1779.

Knebworth House is an English country house in the parish of Knebworth in Hertfordshire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. Its gardens are also listed Grade II* on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. In its surrounding park are the medieval St. Mary's Church and the Lytton family mausoleum. It was the seat of the Earl of Lytton (also Viscount Knebworth), and now the house of the family of the Baron Cobbold of Knebworth. The grounds are home to the Knebworth Festival, a recurring open-air rock and pop concert held since 1974.

Stocking Springs Wood is a 1.1-hectare (2.7-acre) nature reserve between Ayot St Lawrence and Ayot St Peter in Welwyn Hatfield district in Hertfordshire. It is managed by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.The site is hornbeam woodland, and it is divided into sections which are coppiced every sixteen years. Older trees are gnarled in shape as a result. In spring there are bluebells and wild daffodils on the forest floor, and other plants such as wood anemone and early purple orchids are indicators that the woodland is ancient. Breeding birds include nuthatch, great spotted woodpecker and treecreepers.There is access from Codicote Road west of Hill Farm Lane and from a bridleway from Ayot St Lawrence to Codicote Road.

Station IX (formerly known as the Inter-Services Research Bureau) was a secret British Special Operations Executive factory making special weapons and equipment during World War II. The small Welbike paratrooper's motorcycle and the Welrod assassination weapon were both products of the station.
