The Hôtel de Ville (French pronunciation: [otɛl də vil], City Hall) is a municipal building in Bergerac, Dordogne, in southwestern France, standing on Rue Neuve d'Argenson.

The arrondissement of Bergerac is an arrondissement of France in the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It has 130 communes. Its population is 102,530 (2021), and its area is 1,819.9 km2 (702.7 sq mi).

The station is served by TER (local) services operated by SNCF. The station is 39m above sea level. It is at kilometre point 607.481 on the line from Libourne to Buisson. Formerly there was also a junction with the line to Magnac-sur-Touvre.

The Battle of Bergerac was fought between Anglo-Gascon and French forces at the town of Bergerac, Gascony, in August 1345 during the Hundred Years' War. In early 1345 Edward III of England decided to launch a major attack on the French from the north, while sending smaller forces to Brittany and Gascony, the latter being both economically important to the English war effort and the proximate cause of the war. The French focused on the threat to northern France, leaving comparatively small forces in the south-west. Henry of Grosmont, Earl of Derby, arrived in Gascony in August and, breaking with the previous policy of cautious advance, struck directly at the largest French concentration, at Bergerac. He surprised and defeated the French forces under Bertrand I of L'Isle-Jourdain and Henri de Montigny. The French suffered heavy casualties and the loss of the town, a significant strategic setback. Along with the Battle of Auberoche later in the year, it marked a change in the military balance of power in the region. It was the first of a series of victories which would lead to Henry of Derby being called "one of the best warriors in the world" by a contemporary chronicler.

Lycée Polyvalent Mixte Maine de Biran is a lycée or high school in the town of Bergerac in the Aquitaine region of France. As a polyvalent lycée, the school offers students the possibility of studying for either a général or téchnologique baccalauréat. The school campus is located on Rue Valette in the west of the town, and is spread over more than 11 acres and includes 2 teaching buildings, 2 dormitory buildings, a building housing two canteens, a gymnasium and an administration building. It is the biggest only polyvalent lycée in the south west Dordogne, excluding the nearby private school, Institution Sainte Marthe - Saint Front on Avenue Pasteur in the north of the town. There are several other smaller lycées in Bergerac and the surrounding towns. The estimated student body is 1700.

Communauté d'agglomération Bergeracoise is the communauté d'agglomération, an intercommunal structure, centred on the town of Bergerac. It is located in the Dordogne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, southwestern France. Created in 2017, its seat is in Bergerac. Its area is 586.6 km2. Its population was 60,585 in 2019, of which 26,693 in Bergerac proper.
