Baard is a village in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is located in the municipality Leeuwarden, about 10 km southwest of the city of Leeuwarden. Baard had a population of about 189 in January 2017.

Leons (Dutch: Lions) is a small village in Leeuwarden municipality in the Dutch province of Friesland. Situated in pastoral farming country, the village had around 26 inhabitants in January 2017.

De Puollen (Dutch: De Poelen; Dutch pronunciation: [də ˈpu.lə(n)]) is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Waadhoeke in the province of Friesland. It is located to the south of Deinum and on the east side of Dronryp, of which it is a part administratively. The Puolfeart (Dutch: Poelvaart) flows through the hamlet and its surrounding polder. This canal forms the heart of the hamlet, which consists of scattered residences on the Puoldyk. The polder was called Oosterpolder for a while, but later received the name of the hamlet. The polder was drained by the De Poelen polder mill. The area of De Puollen was described in Latin in 1450 as terra situata in da Polum. In 1483 people speak of someone who lived in Poland. In the sixteenth century there was a real hamlet and it was mentioned as Puelen and Poelen. A century later people speak of De Poelen. The place name could also refer to the fact that it was a watery area (a 'pool').Currently located in the municipality of Waadhoeke, De Puollen belonged to Menameradiel until the municipal reorganization of 2018. Having been part of Menameradiel, the hamlet's official name is in West Frisian since 2010, as opposed to the Dutch variant.

Easterlittens (Dutch: Oosterlittens) is a village in Leeuwarden in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 439 in January 2017.

Baarderadeel is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Friesland, southwest of Leeuwarden. Since 1984, the area has been a part of the municipality of Littenseradiel. Some of the larger villages in Baarderadeel are Winsum, Mantgum, and Easterlittens.

Baaium (Dutch: Baijum) is a village in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is in the municipality Waadhoeke, about 15 km southwest of the city of Leeuwarden. Baaium had a population of around 118 in January 2017.

Dronryp is the railway station of Dronryp, Netherlands, located in the hamlet of Hatsum. The station was opened on 27 October 1863 and is located on the Harlingen–Nieuweschans railway between Harlingen and Leeuwarden. The train services are operated by Arriva. The station was called Dronrijp (the Dutch name for the village) until 12 December 2015 when it was renamed Dronryp. This is to reflect the Frisian name of the town, which was changed in 2010.

Hatsum or Hatzum (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦɑt.sʏm]) is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Waadhoeke in the province of Friesland. It is located north of Baaium and south of Dronryp, of which it is a part administratively. The mainly dispersed residences of the hamlet are located on the roads Longbuorren, Hatzum, Keimptilsterdyk and a part of Rewertdyk (up to the Molensloot). The residences on the Dykshoek on the Van Harinxma Canal are also included in the hamlet, even though it actually belongs to the Kingmatille hamlet. The Hatsumer Opfeart also flows through the hamlet. Built on a terp, the hamlet was first mentioned in 1511 as Hastzen, in 1531 as Hatsem and in 1543 as Hatzum. On the southeastern side of Baaium was also a place of the same name, which was mentioned in 1511 as Hastzen as well. It was a large farm that was referred to as Lamkema in the 17th century, later found as a field name as Hatsem. Given the proximity, it may be directly connected. It is assumed that the place name refers to the fact that it is a place of residence (-heem/-um) of or founded by the person Hette.A double train track also runs through the hamlet and it therefore has a train station, Dronryp railway station. There is also a restaurant, currently called Op Hatsum. On the Hatsumeropvaart near Kingmatille is a windmill of the same name, Kingmatille which has been on that spot since 1987, and near the railway is the Hatsumermolen.
