Boornbergum

De Wilgen (West Frisian: De Wylgen) is a small village in Smallingerland municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 651 in January 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1580 De Wilgen, and refers to the willow tree. In 1672, it was side of battle with the Prince-Bishop of Münster. The Dutch three soldiers who died are in an honorary grave.De Wilgen was home to 150 people in 1840. De Wilgen never had a church, but started to grow in the 1970s as a suburb of Drachten.

Lauswolt is an estate in Beetsterzwaag, Friesland, the Netherlands, dating back to the 17th century. The estate is currently being used as a hotel. The restaurant, called De Heeren van Harinxma, had a Michelin star between 2001 and 2006 and has one as of 2022. Lauswolt was the location of talks between CDA, the Labour Party and ChristianUnion for the formation of a new government. The negotiations were intended to be secret, but De Telegraaf newspaper revealed Lauswolt as the location on the very first day of the talks.

The Protestant church of Oudega or Saint Agatha church is a religious building in Oudega, Netherlands, one of the many medieval churches in Friesland. The Romanesque church was built in the early 12th century out of tuffstone and has a tower from c. 1250. In the 14th century the church was lengthened with a straight closed choir. Most of the building is of tufa, but the Gothic former northern entrance is of brick. The monumental Pipe organ was built in 1875 by L. van Dam & Zn. from Leeuwarden and expanded by Bakker & Timmenga in 1922.The church is located on the Buorren 1 and was once a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Agnes but became a Protestant church after the Protestant reformation. It is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 33989 and is rated with a very high historical value.
