The Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) is an agency of the Wisconsin state government which provides a range of services and programs, from operations, technology, and logistical support for the state, to assistance programs for low-income homes, to state gaming. The department's services to other state agencies and offices include personnel management, payroll, accounting systems, technology solutions, and legal services. The Department is central to the state budget process, advising the Governor and state agencies on their budget submissions and analyzing solutions to fiscal problems. The Department also administers state information systems, procurement policies and contracts, fleet transportation, and risk management, and oversees buildings owned and leased by the state, facilities planning projects, and the Wisconsin Capitol Police. The Department is headquartered in the Wisconsin Administration Building in Madison, Wisconsin. Kathy Koltin Blumenfeld is the current Secretary of the Department of Administration, appointed by Governor Tony Evers on January 18, 2022.

The Wisconsin Ethics Commission is a regulatory agency of the State of Wisconsin which administers and enforces Wisconsin law pertaining to ethics and lobbying.

The Bellevue Apartment Building is an upscale early apartment building located just south of the capitol in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. It was completed in 1914 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 13, 1987.

The Christian Dick Block is a historic commercial building located at 106 East Doty Street in Madison, Wisconsin. The building was constructed in 1889 for liquor wholesaler Christian Dick. The prominent Madison architectural firm of Conover & Porter designed the Richardsonian Romanesque style building; it is one of the city's earliest extant examples of both the firm's work and the style. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Madison Municipal Building, also known as the United States Post Office and Federal Courthouse, is a historic government building at 215 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard in Madison, Wisconsin. Built in 1927-29, the building was Madison's tenth main post office and the second courthouse for the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin; it replaced an 1867 building which had also served as both post office and courthouse. James A. Wetmore, the Supervising Architect of the United States Treasury Department at the time, designed the Neoclassical building; the Neoclassical style was commonly used for post offices in the early twentieth century. The building has a limestone exterior with a two-story Ionic colonnade on its front facade, a central entrance with three doorways, and a cornice and parapet at its roof. When the post office relocated in 1980, the City of Madison moved its offices into the building and renamed it the Madison Municipal Building; the district court also relocated later in the 1980s.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 27, 2002.

The Office of the Commissioner of Insurance of Wisconsin is an independent agency of the Wisconsin state government responsible for supervising and regulating the insurance industry in Wisconsin. The office licenses insurers operating in the state, examines their financial and business practices, investigates consumer complaints, ensures compliance with state laws and regulations, and provides information on the insurance industry to the public. The Office is headquartered in the State Education Building, or GEF-3, in downtown Madison, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) is a government agency of the U.S. state of Wisconsin charged with conserving and managing Wisconsin's natural resources. The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board has the authority to set policy for the WDNR. The WDNR is led by the Secretary, who is appointed by the Governor of Wisconsin. The WDNR develops regulations and guidance in accordance with laws passed by the Wisconsin Legislature. It administers wildlife, fish, forests, endangered resources, air, water, waste, and other issues related to natural resources. The central office of the WDNR is located in downtown Madison, near the state capitol.

Monona Terrace (officially the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center) is a convention center on the shores of Lake Monona in Madison, Wisconsin.

The King Club is a live music club in Madison, Wisconsin famous for showcasing some of the world's most famous rhythm and blues acts. It is one block from the State Capitol at 114 King Street. The King Club featured James Brown's former drummer Clyde Stubblefield every Monday with his Madison R&B band. The King Club closed permanently January 21, 2008.

The State Office Building is a 13-story, 177-foot-tall (54 m) high-rise building located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, United States. The building was built in three separate stages between 1931 and 1959, with the main section being completed in 1939. It is built in an art deco style, and it is the tallest office building in downtown Madison. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Tenney Building is a historic office building at 110 E. Main Street in Madison, Wisconsin. It was built in 1929-30 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
