Nishi-Nobuto Station (西登戸駅, Nishi-Nobuto-eki) is a railway station operated by the Keisei Electric Railway located in Chūō-ku, Chiba city, Chiba Prefecture Japan. It is 10.9 kilometers from the terminus of the Keisei Chiba Line at Keisei Tsudanuma Station.

Towatari Shrine (登渡神社, Towatari-jinja), also known as Nobuto Shrine (登戸神社, Nobuto-jinja), is a Shinto shrine located in Nobuto, Chūō-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. Originally a branch temple of Kongojū-ji, a temple to the Buddhist deity Myōken founded by the Chiba clan (modern Chiba Shrine), it was converted into a Shinto shrine during the mid-19th century.

Chiba University (千葉大学, Chiba Daigaku) is a national university in the city of Chiba, Japan. It offers Doctoral degrees in education as part of a coalition with Tokyo Gakugei University, Saitama University, and Yokohama National University. The university was formed in 1949 from existing educational institutions in Chiba Prefecture, and over a period of years absorbed Chiba Medical University (1923-1960), a preparatory department of the Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Chiba Normal School (1872-1951), Tokyo Polytechnic High School (1914-1951), Chiba Horticultural High School, among others. Chiba University was reincorporated in 2010 under the National University Corporation Act. Chiba University has been ranked 168th on the Asia University Rankings 2019 Top 100 by "The Times Higher Education". Its abbreviated form is Chibadai (千葉大). Currently, Chiba University consists of nine faculties, the university library, the university hospital and other educational and research facilities. With 11,179 students in the undergraduate program, it has long been one of the largest universities in Japan. As for the graduate school, there are about 2,354 students in ten master's programs and 1,220 in nine doctoral programs. The University's four campuses, Nishi-Chiba, Inohana, Matsudo, and Kashiwanoha are ideally located in Chiba Prefecture, an area noted for its industrial, intellectual and international achievements. Chiba University has achieved a high degree of participation in international cooperative research projects. Chiba University presently has a large body of international research scholars and students studying on its various campuses. As of 2009, there are approximately 477 international researcher and 957 international students.

Chiba Velodrome (千葉競輪場, Chiba Keirinjyō) is a velodrome located in Chiba City that conducts pari-mutuel Keirin racing - one of Japan's four authorized "Public Sports" (公営競技, kōei kyōgi) where gambling is permitted. Its Keirin identification number for betting purposes is 32# (32 sharp). Chiba's oval is 500 meters in circumference. A typical keirin race of 2,000 meters consists of four laps around the course.

Teikyō Heisei Nursing Junior College (帝京平成看護短期大学, Teikyō heisei kango tanki daigaku) was a private junior college in the city of Ichihara in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Established in 1990, the school was operated by Teikyo Group, a foundation that operates more than 30 schools (including colleges) across Japan. The college closed in 2016.

The National Institute of Radiological Sciences (放射線医学総合研究所) (NIRS) is a radiation research institute in Japan. The NIRS was established in 1957 as Japan's only institute of radiology. The NIRS maintains various ion accelerators in order to study the effects of radiation of the human body and medical uses of radiation.The National Institute of Radiological Sciences hospital established in 1961 is a research hospital with a basic focus on radiation therapy. In 1993 the HIMAC (Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba) of NIRS was launched, and in 1997 the Research Center for Charged Particle Therapy was opened as one of the leading medical centers using carbon ions are in operation. On April 1, 2016, the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) transferred some of its laboratories to the NIRS, and the NIRS body was renamed to the National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology (QST) which includes existing laboratories of the NIRS; the NIRS is currently a radiological research division of the QST.
